Up To Bat Entertainment I owned a level 4 12, and a level 1 10. I have also owned 2 alpine type r 12s. A sundown zv3 12, 2 kenwood 250w rms 12's, and now a sundown zv3/4 hybrid 15. The level 1 10 was better than the kenwood 12s. The level 4 12 was better than the 2 alpine 12s, but not quite as good as the sundown zv3 12. The zv3/4 hybrid obviously kills them all but that's to be expected. The level 4 12 was mean imo, great for the price
Kraken thank you so much!!! Which subs hit the higher bass notes the best for you? I know Box can play a huge roll. I am looking for more even bass response from the subs. I like the dc audio lvl 3 & 4 12 subs b/c they have a high sensitivity so they get louder per watt. They require much smaller ported/ sealed boxes than most subs. Good for me having kinda strict size requirements!!
RedWarHusky09 thanks! I am looking at the lvl 3 & Level 4 due to higher sensitivity, smaller box size and rms power. I just don’t know how they sound 😩😆 I want good bass response up to at least 80Hz. I know box and tuning play a big part in that!
Up To Bat Entertainment subs that will naturally hit the higher notes will have a higher fs. Look in the specs of each sub to find this, it is measured in Hertz. A sub with a fs of 28-35 is going to slam some lows while a sub with a fs of 45 will play highs and not want to get too low.
I ordered 2 skar zvx v2 18's through him a few months ago. Needed more so I just ordered a DC level 6 M5 elite 18 from him. Waiting for it in the mail right now.
Oh man how I wish I could order a sa 15inch sundown but the shipping fees for the sub to come all the way to Cyprus will cost around 700 euro! Ridiculous right! The only brand names we have available over here is ground zero and B2 audio plus the mainstream stuff like pioneer,alpine etc etc! Oh well 😑

Kelvin McGill I live in Florida. They're a solid group of folks. I haven't heard of a single blown woofer or amp which want taken care of by them. More so I've heard of them even replacing refurbs with brand new on occasion for a positive experience. The owner is an introvert, so he's not much of a talker. Skar does replicate Sundown, but at this point kinda everyone does. All the equipment comes from overseas, so really all that changes in the mid level products is a different dust cap and magnet boot. For people like me, I'm a huge fan of high dollar products, but I have to buy economically. I can't afford a Sundown 1500 watts sub for $500 each just because it's a Sundown. I can however afford the Skar VXF-12 for $239 which is the same thing.
I'm not hating on dc they make nice products but I'm a skar fan. I've had ddx..running 2 evl 15s now on a sk2500 daily driver. No issues in the last 8 months
I have the ZVXv2 12” and it just pure hammers just one of them not even pushing its RMS is fucking loud. I do however plan to slap a bigger amp to it when I have the money . Skar definitely makes a good product especially for the price. You can’t ask for better when it was only $300. Hits lows good has very good venting and cooling. I call skar the affordable version of sundown. In the end a sub is a sub and to get loud the only thing that makes that happen is how you implement it in your vehicle. Every true bass head knows that. People say they are a ripping off sundown and that isn’t even the case. Everyone who knows their audio shit knows if they want even better quality go to sundown. It’s just the matter of who can pull that money out of there wallet. Some people just can’t afford it so skar came out with a slightly different design that is cheaper so people who don’t have much money can bass on too. Everyone sitting on their keyboards typing all this crap about skar probably makes him turn around and laugh because he knows he’s actually successful especially for his age.

The level 1 10 was better than the kenwood 12s. The level 4 12 was better than the 2 alpine 12s, but not quite as good as the sundown zv3 12. level 3s' and level 4s are a step above your entry level subs like the Level 1s and 2s. they get down for what they are worth.
