- I will teach you how to use the basic tuya smart lock features to setup and delete a user using the fingerprint and passcode option in this video.
Get this smart door lock if you want value for money. It can also be opened using a mechanical key, IC card, remote dynamic passcode, or through remote unlocking via the tuya smart app in your android or iOS devices. The built is solid which is made of zinc alloy and powered by 4xAAA battery that could last up to one year, depending on your usage. This tuya smart lock module is waterproof and can be installed in the main door. It can also be integrated into a smart home alarm system using the tuya smartlife app.

Great video. I purchased the smart lock. But I haven't installed it. Do I need a mechanism so that deadbolt comes out when you turn up the handle?cannot find any. All the mechanisms are using key to bring out deadbolt

mine does not auto lock and anyone can open the door from inside. is there a way to lock door from inside as well which requires remote unlock or admin to open same as from outside. because kids can open the door from inside easily

I don’t think that’s possible . I only tried using an NFC sticker . It’s cheaper than buying an extra IC card.

How in the world to add network on this device. I mean it keeps saying locked locked also it is supposed to have a blinking green light but how can I do that. Even I followed this instructions I have

Content Suggestion: Sensibo making your AC / Inverter smart.
Sensibo is nice but pricey. You can use a humidity sensor that will trigger the smart plug to switch on your ac if the room is reaching a specific temp threshold. If you want to make sure that it’s off when you’re out , you can use IFTTT. Sonoff TH10 sensor only cost P710, Sensibo cost P5k.

hey Jerrold boss, i want to install it on the main gate of the house but it's an old and heavy steel door with a rim lock. is it possible or should i buy a modern door?
There is a rim lock version of this Tuya Smart Door Lock with all the functionality similar to a main door version and it’s waterproof

Thanks for the video! Is it possible to disable the auto lock when door closes? I tried the passage mode, it works but now I cannot lock from the inside. Even if I activate deadbolt from inside, person outside can open it without passkey or fingerprint. I had to disable passage mode to be able to lock it from the inside. Tnx
yes you cannot lock the door from the inside if you enable the free passage mode

I reset the system! But now I can enter even as admin! Even I used 12345, I addition now any one can enter by fingerprint without any registration! Also, I can not control the number it repeated by itself like is there is problem!

Intelligent connection option is for your lock to be connected to your wifi. After chowing that option the lock should be blinking before you connect it through the app. Make sure you input the right SSID and wifi password

Theres about 4 settings in the app on how loud you want the lock to operate.

Yes , if you have time watch my related video. To do it just unlock then press 5# to enable free passage mode. It will save your battery in this way .

How will i charge
Hello I want to know how can i unlock my door using wifi or smartlife app remotely without pressing 9+# key. Or I want my alexa to open the gate directly whenever I say open the door my model is similar to yours
With this version you need someone to press the 9#. Merong version na Hindi na kelangan but you need to buy a gateway around P1700 if you need this remote unlock feature na walang user intervention. I haven’t tried using a virtual assistant pero I think it’s possible . I’ll check muna paano ma open using google assistant .

Each deco is supposed to connect devices wirelessly within the 2000 sq meter but don’t expect too much. You need to connect the router to the main deco and it doesn’t really matter how long since you have to connect the 2 using a utp cable
sir i got tuya smart door lock just a month ago but til now it's wont open the door when I unlock it. I followed evrything the seller told me what to do from restoring the factory system to adjusting the motor direction but I just couldn't make it work. any advice I can get 🙏🏻

If the door is already connected to your wifi network, tell your guest to press 9# and then an unlock request will be sent toy your phone
to connect the Tuya smart door to your wifi network,
1) press *#
2) enter your admin info
3)press 1 for admin
4) press 3 for network setting
5) press 1 for wifi then enter your wifi information

By default the Tuya smart door lock has a voice response system every time you use it . You can’t possible disable the sound through the app.

I have a code set-up (only 1 passcode at the moment, but don’t know which configuration “#” it is. Is there a way to delete it without know which assigned passcode it is? This passcode was set-up by the contractor….but I figure I need to delete and start over so nobody has tge number

Energizer. Battery life depends on usage. May tao kasi sa bahay lagi so no need to open the door from the outside which will consume the battery. It’s been 4 months and the batt is still full. It could last up to a year according the the product specification.

You can use either of these methods to open the door. Using the fingerprint feature is very convenient , IC card or temporary password for your guest , or the wifi feature if you want someone to enter your house by simply confirming the unlock request sent to your mobile phone .

but in the "unlocking mode setting" -> nr 2 in system setting
you have 3 options : press 1 to singel mode
press 2 for combination mode
press 3 for passage mode - this i find solution (when is unlock press 5 and # and door are still open to next closing.)this is good when the guest coming in during the day :)

Single mode you use any of the methods, combination mode you use the card + passcode , passcode + fingerprint or any 2 combinations . You can also enable passcode (3) or disable in option (4}

After downloading the smart life app , click the + button on the upper right , add device then select camera and lock on the left pane. Choose the lock (wifi) , then press *#admin and select 1 for admin , 3 for network then 2 for network. Make sure your on a 2.4 ghz network

Whenever I press *+# to enter admin mode. It says it is an illegal operation and the system is blocked. Even after factory resetting, this message remained. If I use 123456, it reaches a stage where it asks to enter an elimination number but I don't even know what it is.
Did u press *# admin? Did u press the reset button at least 6 seconds ?

Is it waterproof?
Yes , it will still automatically lock . It’s better to install a door closer . It’s more of a spill proof but not totally waterproof since there’s a tiny hole at the bottom for the physical key
Do you know by any chance why the lock is not staying lock?
Like, for example, I can lock the door and the lock come on but it does not stay, when I push the handle down the lock just unlock without me using card, pin or any touch
After unlocking press 5# and the autolock will be disabled
@@JerroldEllo I deactivated through the app but it doesn’t stay lock again. By the time I push the handle down the lock goes inside again without the need of a key or anything
The autolock will be enabled again once you touch the fingerprint panel

It works fine with Tuya or smart life app as long as your wifi has a 2.4ghz band. You just need to login , click manual, security and surveillance tab, click the lock , hit next and make sure the lights in the lock are blinking signifying that it’s ready to connect to your wifi network

I didn’t install a Tuya doorbell but I think you can check that in the scene tab in your Tuya or smart life app. Check the automation coz ur doorbell might be connected by default .
My smartlock is the same as the one on your video sir, there is a feature that you can enable the doorbell but I cannot find it in the manual.
I bought the YOHEEN Smart Door Lock (YS018M) and it had been working just fine, but when the batteries reached 10% the fingerprint sensor stopped working to open the door. If I want to add a new fingerprint, the sensor works, but if I press my fingerprint to the sensor, it does not, so I guess the sensor is not broken, but the door does not open when reading the fingerprints May you help me?

I’m using energizer batteries that lasted 10 months , now I’m using rechargeable batteries but the capacity is much lower so I charge it every 3-4 months

Technically yes but you cannot set it to unlock through Alexa or at least check its status. You can only see it added in the centralized app

I did not encounter a problem luckily since installation. If you're planning to get one, there is a new version which allows free access so that you don't have to unlock each time you enter especially when you are just staying at home. Only 2 IC cards are included but you can provide or generate a PIN code

Battery life depends on usage. There’s always someone in the house so we do not unlock the door frequently. If battery is your concern there is a newer model where you can charge the door lock via the USB port .
Sir, I'm renting our condo unit to guests. Do I need to change the passcode after the booking or can i just give temporary passwords to my guests without changing the passcode itself?
What's the difference between the Bluetooth version (price 2k+) and the wifi version (3k+)?
Just create a temporary passcode. You can set it to expire at a certain date and time. The good thing is you can do it in the smart life / Tuya app without even going to your condo if you’re able to connect the lock to your wifi network

This version of lock in the main door can’t be muted but with the one I installed in my bedroom can be set to silent mode

Probably the one you got is a newer version that supports normal open mode or access free .

You can always unlock it if you will be using your admin account. If you enable the deadbolt/deadlock from the inside, all user accounts will be disabled.
Have same problem, lift lever up inside or outside to operate dead bolt. Anyone can open by pressing lever down inside or out.
Looks like its in passage mode, now to figure out how to get out of it as manual is next to useless.
Sorted, reset the lock with a small pin.
Lift lever up from inside bolt shoots forward. Install batteries!
Downloaded the Smart app and uninstalled the Tuya app. Registered me as Admin, assigned pass code, swipe card, finger print, phone number etc.
Now works as it should.

To change the language on the lock press *# admin , press 3 3 2 . Admin could be your fingerprint, passcode, or IC card

Automatically it will be disabled after 10 failed attempts but it will be enables again after 5 minutes

You can always open the door knob from the inside. The outside knob should always remain close. Did you raise the knob to enable the dead bolt or secondary lock ?

I’m sorry you cannot disable the lock that way for safety reason. In case of emergency like when there is fire or earthquake , it’s important that the people can get out fast and easy. Just install a latch/ sliding bolt in the upper portion that is beyond his reach .

You can easily create a pin in the Tuya or Smart life app by swiping to the left the lock image in the middle or by clicking the temporary password in the lower right
How to remove the wire . It got stuck when we tested it before mounting. Now the wire wont come off... im afraid it might break its just a flimsy piece of plastic connector.

Hi Jerrold, I have a problem and I think you can help me. I have a different lock than yours, but the functions are the same. The shop I bought the lock from is still bugging me and telling me to read the instructions ... I did it 100 times. Gives a link to the videos, can you tell if this lock behavior is normal? After programming when trying to open, a female voice says e.g. 004 (depending on which user is opening) unlocked, but the lock does not open ... is this lock broken? The problem video is on my channel, please watch it and tell me something.

Hi Bart, I’ve seen your videos and it seems the ic card and fingerprint options are fine but failed to trigger the next sequence for the lock to work. Either the mechanism is stuck or the electronic components are messed up. I wish I could help you with this problem but my lock is a lil bit different.
I did one more thing, I briefly connected the batteries to the motor that moves the bolt. Motor works, bolt opens and closes. It looks like there is a problem with the electronics. I have two such locks and it's the same: / it looks like the locks are broken and reading the manual won't do anything ... thank you for your time, if you have any ideas, please let me know.
After every one or two days my door lock memory got cleaned, no finger print and code are kept recorded. I had set Again and again. What should i do now.
Did you add the fingerprint or passcode of the user in the Tuya or smartlife app? All unlocking activities will be recorded there.
