Who'd have thought 40 years ago that, in 2022, Ferrari would NOT offer a car with a manual transmission....and Cadillac WOULD. Wow.
Is this one of the seven signs?
Makes sense.
Just because you're rich, doesn't mean you're a car enthusiast
@@ilivedowntheroad you make more sense
*Sheiks, aristocrats, and pop stars are the target demographic for those cars.* Funny that all of those people will dump those cars once autonomous electric cars have 5 minute charging.
"Like if a hellcat could go around corners". Best car reviews on the inner web LOL
I like how someone at Cadillac woke up one day and said "hey, there's no Pontiac anymore, let's build one!" Way too many years ago this would have been a GTO.
Umm, they were selling the first gen CTS-Vs (2004-2007ish) at the same time Pontiac was selling GTOs and G8 V8s (2003-2006ish) so there was overlap of the models. CTS-Vs weren't in the same market space.
I could’ve seen this being a grand national had it had t tops
Let's just pretend it's a Pontiac.
Lol… no. This is very much not what a GTO is.
@@robertt9342 exactly
Come on Cadillac why don’t you gift this car to Sarah!!! Think of the incredible positive publicity! The awesome publicity would more than pay for the car!😳👍❤️
That is a great idea
I 100% Agree, Give it to Her. Tax and license not included of course....LOL
I don’t think they’re gonna give her an $85,000 vehicle
@@1957kwick Like they can’t afford it?????? Look at how much money they spend on advertising with commercials on TV every day of the year lol… Anyways it doesn’t hurt to ask….😝👍
Agreed. Don't be greedy GM. We are all watching.
Great car with incredible sound. Your gear changes are so quick it sounded like an automatic from behind. Keep these road tests coming 😘
Yeah, her shifts were phenomenal.
really? gear change, quick?
oh... your looking to win browny points
keep at it.
@@Ralph_Baric_PhD_C2019 I wish
You need some kind of swingometer, to measure the angle of hair swing towards the horizontal during break testing. This would be the only true scientific way to show brake efficiency!
To go with the beans, cookies, meatballs, and penguin scores 😂. Would be perfect.
Brake. Braking. C’mon now. 😂
My thoughts exactly
BASEMENT FLOODING!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I dont know if I interpreted that right but if I did that is the funniest, most awesome thing I have ever heard a woman say!!!
Just found your channel because of the YT algorithm. Love your content. Super funny, and delightfully technical compared to most car reviews. LOVE IT!
TOTALLY agree on the manual transmission being the RIGHT choice!
What happened to the bolster test? Other than that minimal criticism, love what you're doing!
This is the car that should have become the Holden Commodore once Holden stopped local production in Australia. Instead we got the front wheel drive Opel Insignia which no where near deserves the Commodore namesake. What a great car you have over there.
sounds like a holden
Still wouldn’t have saved the brand. Big sedan sales dropped through the floor. Blame the SUV craze for killing the Commodore badge.
Wow, great review Sarah. The car and your personality really shine. Thanks for another informative and entertaining review.
You're killing me!!! I already wanted one of these! Now, I almost need one
What a brilliant review of a brilliant car. Haven't watched one of your reviews for a while.... They are epic. Manual shifter is 100% the way to go.
I just love what you have contributed to my car knowledge.
I love how Sarah is always so genuine… No pretending!! « Holy sh.. this thing is fast!! » 😆
So, you have to swear to be genuine?
@@Carl_Jr , how do you know it is not part of the script? They actually script cuss words in movies. CZcams influencers are a marketing team's wet dream! Cost way less than an advertising campaign, and people think they are being genuine. LOL!
@@Carl_Jr , what you call dumb, I call enlightenment to the marketing psychology intended to part you and your money. If you are looking to buy a car like this, I sure hope you already have a couple million in investments instead of “I think I can make the payments if I don’t save for retirement “. LOL!
Nice way to say dumb; I'd agree!
This has been one of my “if money was no object” cars I would buy in a minute. I love this car. And yes, a manual will always be way more fun to drive than any automatic ever.
That looks and sounds fantastic. No wonder you flooded your basement
Fantastic channel 10/10 for this review Sarah.
Love the Blackwing. I hate this is the last year for it. One of the best sounding cars I ever heard not to mention drop dead gorgeous. Great review!
Nice article on you in the latest Quattro, the Audi Club NA quarterly. Really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work, and I know it's work.
Love your reviews Sarah, always loved the CTSV hands down!
Nice shifting Sarah I'm impressed ty for doing it right
Awesome review Sarah 👍👍Your smile says it all
I 100% agree with you about the 6 speed. I sold my 2019 Challenger Hellcat because it was an automatic. Fast yes, boring yes. My new Camaro has the 6 speed and so much more intuitive, and I do not have to worry about coming into a corner hot.
I love the sound of this beast!
When you find something that gives you that 5 penguin feeling, you just gotta smile and luv it.
Love that exhaust note! Have a nice weekend Miss Sarah.
Thanks Sarah your videos are so much fun!
Hello from France 🇫🇷.
Well... Now I want a Cadillac 😂
Thank you for that Sarah!
You had me at ""Blackwing"" that is one wicked ride!!!
The sound of that car is just amazing😍. It looked like a blast to drive!
Badass car ! Awesome review Sarah !!
I almost spit my Mt.Dew at the "basement flooding" caption.
Great car. Greater review. Thanks, Sarah.
Great review, great to see some one appreciates a good old fashioned, 6 speed v8 , with the proper sound .
Owned a '16 CTS-V, and this evolution is on my list. Of course, the manual transmission makes this one so much more attractive. Love your work Sarah!
Awesome review! I just picked up my Rift Metallic Blackwing last week, amazing car
I’m in love ❤️ ( The car is great too… gimme a Supercharged V8 anytime over any EV )
Make that two to go. And two of these Caddies too!
Cadillac much respect to you for building such an amazing car in this day and age full of tree huggers 😍👌
Thanks for not mincing words about the performance. 👏👏👏
You are so awesome Sarah! Don't ever change.
Hi from Ukraine - I love that you're wearing Ukraine national colours (even though it wasn't mentioned in the vid), love the car, love your review of the car, and appreciate the time watching to take my mind of other things. Thank you.
That hollow rear sway bar does save a lot of weight but they don't work as good as a solid bar. I would not be surprised if the front sway bar is hollow to. My 13 Impala had a hollow front sway bar and my biggest complaint was how the car cornered. So I replaced it with a solid bar and it made all the difference in the world in cornering. Much much better. I am surprised this has a 29 mm sway bar being a 4100 lb car. My Impala has a 31mm bar and it's 3600 lb.
I totally love your reviews!!!!
Sarah your bona fides as a car reviewer are top notch. Your enthusiasm for things automotive is infectious. The Caddy, however, is a last hurrah for a manufacturer that continues to put out irrelevant products.
That car is on 🔥 and so is your matching outfit 😍
You definitely enjoyed this! 👏🏻
The only full size sedan I know that has a manual transmission. What’s not to like? 😎
The fact that it ain't one of the earlier model Australian HSV V8''s.
Not only are HSV's aesthetically much cooler looking, they were also track proven and possibly still performed better than this more luxurious US V8.
I'm a New Zealander
Sounds amazing. Another great review
I love that the manual is the correct choice!!! I could not agree more!!!!! This review makes me want to start shopping for one of these!!!!
This Caddy is why the Lexus IS500 should have a manual 6 MT too!!
Should have had a SCharged V8
Class interior! What a gorgeous car, not necessarily a vehicle for my garage but, maybe in my midlife (later) crisis.
How's the time machine coming along?
Could be one of your best reviews yet!
The best review for the Best Cadillac. And yes. The best choice is 6 speed manual transmission for fun and enjoy this machine. Well done
Exceptional review Sarah, you always give good reviews but this one seems to really stand out.
Love the fact it doesn't have a jumbo tablet mounted on top of the dash like most crappy EV's!
Those shifts during the “Beans Test” were impressive. Well done, Sarah.
Properly banged those shifts in the beans test!!! That was rad!!!
GM is so lucky to have you in their corner, great review 🇦🇺👍
And the wardrobe was a great choice 🇺🇦
That is a beast! You shift super smooth and quick! That is quite a daily driver.
I've liked Cadillac since they came out with the CTS-V and this car is a beautiful evolution! Great review and awesome car! I want one! Oh and the reviewer is cute as a button too :)
I watched and wondered how you could have known I was pumping out my flooded basement at the time? Another great review, thanks.
9:36 Actually that would be the LT6. The LT5 is a futher souped up LT4 in the C7 ZR1 (the LT5 was just discontinued by GM). The LT6 is the second non ls engine in modern corvettes (the other is a rebadged c6 the cadillac xlr with a Northstar V8).
This would make a perfect vehicle for the Arizona State Highway Patrol especially in and around the Tucson area. ☺
🤣😂
Hi Sarah you absolutely nail it what you said in this review also love the outfit in the review specially the high heels
Cool video thanks. It’s nice you have gotten to the point where you get to Drive such cool cars 🚙.
Nice looking car and I love the manual gearbox option but you can keep the loud exhaust and pops ‘n bangs on overrun.
I'm stunned. Someone made a V8, rear wheel drive car with a manual gearbox. I thought it was all over but no! The engineering looks like perfection. The whole thing is almost orgasmic. I'm not saying any more......
Camaro SS trim has always had a manual option.
As always great review Sarah!!
Love the CT4 & 5 Blackwing but my dream machine is the CT6 Blackwing!
Now if only I could find one...
Currently driving a CT6 3.0TT 404hp, it's not a "V" but it's quick, Real Quick!
GREAT VIDEO SARAH!!!! I AGREE WITH YOU 100%!!!!! THIS CADDY IS THE TOTAL FAMILY CRUISER!!! GREAT VIDEO & THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
The thing that grinds my gears about GM is that when John Moss was director of product development, there were some killer concept vehicles that were greenlit by GM. However the brass watered the final products down so much that they were unrecognizable and disappointing. Now that they’re getting things right, they’re going away.
No not really. Leaving ICE behind - slowly. But all the great things they've learned about chassis dynamics, steering feel, brakes, etc.. still continues forward. Might just be some years before we have optimal battery density to weight trade-off before a true Blackwing EV can hit the road which is fine by me, I'll just enjoy ICE performance longer.
Or they're not being produced. Ordered one last year and Caddy/GM won't send allocation to the dealer. ..."but muh c19...muh supply chain...". Nobody cares about excuses GM. If you promote a product, effing sell that shit or piss off!
Engine = internal combustion engine.
Motor = electric driven
I'm just gonna say it- I think we are in a modern golden age of the internal combustion engine. Some of these cars will be preserved and considered great classics in 50 years. Cars might self drive for the work commute and to the grocery store, but people of the means will love owning, collecting, and driving these cars in the future.
Strong, sleek, beautiful lines, and the car is amazing too!
yes yes yes. I love what Caddy has been doing recently. My daily is also my favorite car, my 2013 CTS-V manual wagon.
Love your videos and sense of humor keep up the good work.
Would love to see you get the bean score on a Kia Stinger 3.3 V6 or Nissan GTR.
Early Friday upload… Yay! “Accoutrements!” As Gomez told Morticia… “I love it when you speak French!” That car is amazing. How would you compare the performance with that 6-speed Chevy SS you reviewed a few years back? Thank you for another great review! 👍👍👍
"Damn Sarah you can shift that shifter" great video 📹. I've always been a fan of the crt.
Wow you shifted really fast I’m impressed!
You are amazing you and Chris Harris are my two favorite car reviewer’s!👍🏼😘👩🏻🏫
Wagon version please (not that I could afford it)!
I have never ever thought modern Cadillacs were even remotely interesting. Until now. This looks amazing.
Cool vid, well done, cheers from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Thank you. You are so right 6 speed manual is a National Treasure!!
My miserable day full of hard work, early start 4.45 am. Just got a ray of sunshine. A Sarah review. You work so hard on your videos. I woppa appreciate it. ❤
@Kerry Fry - agreed.
This is an analog car for the digital age. I don't mean to say it's old-fashioned, but that the designers seem to have paid great attention to how everything looks, sounds and feels to actual humans instead of focusing all the engineering on making it behave like a robot. While there are electric cars that can accelerate quicker, I don't see how any of them can provide the same visceral enjoyment under power as this. Plus those pops and crackles on over-run.
You are right about this being an end of an era, as Cadillac has stated there will be no more all-new ICE powered cars. I don't think that means there won't be any updates to this, the CT4 and their other vehicles, but no major changes like a new engine or major changes to the chassis. I do hope they keep the manual until the end, unlike the Corvette!
Did you say it’s analog ???
Do you understand what that means ?
@@Carl_Jr I understand it’s often difficult to read between the lines with text (compared with speech) but I honestly believed that the commenter believes it’s not a modern digital car,
Be interesting to hear their POV ?
I really want that car!!! Nice review thanks!
my complaint is it's 30k more than it needs to be
Makes me sad to know that these could be among the last cars that can truly stir your soul. No electric car has ever done that. Let’s enjoy these while we can (and keep them running as long as possible too)
This is why i will never sell any of my cars
@@carguy7243 I wish I could say that. Unfortunately I cannot. To be fair though the ones I did sell were at the losing end of a battle with cancer (rust)
Pennsylvania salt SUUUUUCKS!!!
@@dragon81heart I'm in Australia so where we are no such issues
Imagine if it was reversed. Then I would imagine you would say nothing stirs the soul like electric. It's so obvious that people love things because it's tied to other core memories that have nothing to do with said thing. Some people like the smell of crappy cologne because it's what their father wore blah blah. Get over it. You'll be long dead before gas powered cars get overtaken by electric. I think nothing stirs the soul like steam.

Love your review of this killer car !!!
Such a fun review, one of ma favs :)
Hi sarah, couple of questions if I may? Firstly, at what speed do you start the brake test? Secondly, whilst giving it the beans, do you go to the maximum road legal limit or a set speed for every test? Ie 60mph. Just curious. Otherwise, your reviews are great, keep them coming please.
Finally a “car person” on the internet admitting no EV will ever do what a proper combustion engine car can already do
Sarah, you need one. That car fits you so well.
Those shifts were sick!!! 🔥
OMG Sarah...another FIVE. You hardly ever do that. But your review shows that this car is worthy of your ratings. Who would have ever thought that Cadillac would build a hot rod with a blown engine and a stick shift? Ahhh...the world we live in. Keep up the great work.
I wish they would still make 1 big old boat with a bench seat and hood ornament
"The six speed manual is the correct choice" I love it!!!! And your nails match the car! That's dedication
Another great video! Had me laughing. What a car! Keep them coming!
Awesome Sarah. Been waiting to see if you do a CT5 BW review. I have one on order.
I don’t understand why everyone keeps saying gas powered cars are a thing of the past when we aren’t investing in our failing electrical grids or the lack of renewable energy to sustain grids to power these vehicles cheaply.
100% agree.... The Electrical crowd are brainwashing bullies!!
This is what I keep trying to explain to my family!!
Europe has outlawed the sale of new internal combustion engine (ICE) cars starting in 2035.
California, the largest market for cars in the US, has done likewise. Automobile manufacturers are not designing new internal combustion engines. The Porsche Boxter and Cayman will no longer be ICE cars after this generation, but electric. FYI, the "ultimate" Cayman, the Cayman GT3 RS, is selling for up to *double* Its not insubstantial MSRP, as gasoline engines are going away. The current generation of Cadillacs is the last generation of their ICE sedans. They've said so.
Internal combustion engine cars are not being outlawed, just the sale of new ones. It will be 15 or more years before they're mostly gone, so after 2050.
Cars were originally a plaything of the rich, and there were gasoline powered cars before there were gasoline stations around the country. Modern EVs started off as play things for the rich. They are slowly moving down market, like the original ICE cars, and the EV charging network is beginning to be built out.
The gasoline supply system was demand driven and built for profit, as I imagine the EV system will, perhaps w/tax breaks like the petroleum industry.
This has happened before. Before ICE cars, there were horses. Transportation for "everyman."
There still are, but now they're mostly playthings for the rich, as will ICE cars, transpotation for "everyman," be in 50 or 75 years.
You have the beans score but I would like you to rate the rumble score. That almost indescribable feeling you get from just raw combustion based horse power. Not the torque or speed but almost sensing the power potential.
Great review , beautiful both you and the car , love how real and genuine . Shame might be last year made.
Happy Friday Sarah!!!
DAAYYUMM!!! I really would enjoy having that car, so choice.😁
Awesome review!!
Stay excellent!!!😎
It’s a crying shame that this car and cars like it are in fact, the last we’ll ever see rolling off any assembly line. Not to mention GM deciding to pull the plug on the C8 Zo6. My heart actually hurts and and a hole will remain in it forever more 😕
April Fools
GM did not pull the plug on the C8 Z06, that was an April fools day joke.
