In this 1.8.9 Minecraft video, I start the new season of a Blitz Survival Games series called How to get into blitz. seanlol hosted the first season of the series and he promised a season 2, but was unable to deliver due to harassment within the game. This episode will be discussing kits: what the better kits are, and how to pick a kit. Enjoy!

IMO tim finds the best balance between being a good kit, being a funny kit, and not being an annoying kit
Tim is interesting… but a lack of utility isn’t ideal. Yeah you get xp but it’s extremely luck based and the diamond pants get you targeted. I wouldn’t call it good necessarily but it depends on your playstyle. Definitely cool and funny and not annoying
Its my main kit and it is good if you spawn at a good location to get a lot of chests

I mean, to a certain extent kits are subjective, as there are different categories that will fit certain players better,
but some kits are just worse than others:
For example, Speleologist is just a worse Horsetamer. They both have near the exact same equipment but Speleo trades the great util of a horse for... prot on leather. That is just never a good trade, as even if you get bad chest loot you can always use the horse to loot faster.
Also, I've never seen someone use Florist well. The reason I've heard for going it most often is if you're "bad at pvp" but in that case just go a tank kit like Meatmaster instead of trying to rely on Thorns, which will never make up for as much damage as a diamond armor piece.
Arachnologist is just a worse Wolftamer. You literally trade the best boots in the game for a 6dmg weapon and the most common armor pieces found in chests. It doesn't get enough to be a good early game kit, and it sucks in lategame.
Also, certain kits at certain levels (besides X) are just worse versions of other kits. eg.
Viking IX is just a worse Diver IX in every way(same holds at most lower lvls between the two kits)
Fisherman is just a better Knight. It not only has more starting armor, but also has a guaranteed rod, and armor potential. The only advantage is higher crit damage for Knight, which can be gotten by Fish after enchanting a Stone sword if they really want it. Fish starts off better than Knight, is more reliable than Knight due to the rod, and has a better lategame than Knight.
for the sake of defending the statement of kits are suggestive i will argue for the kits you find worse than others xD but spoiler alert i do agree with some of these picks. speleologist vs horsetamer
speleologist has infinite food while horsetamer will probably use its apples to heal its horse. horse is also a bigger threat as more people will not have a mount than not. therefore, the horse will most likely die due to multiple people going for it. speleologist can also use the mooshrooms similarly to meatmaster in that you can use them to block rod hits. better gear, same weapon, less of a threat, infinite food, and making plays with the mooshroom to block hits vs a mount that can get you kills but at the cost of the whole game trying to kill your only utility?
Florist is hella underrated. if you get backstabbed the thorns gives you slight separation and the thorns does a decent amount of damage over a long drawn fight. can’t discredit it. florist, you have full gear. meatmaster, you do not. early game florist is better. you can always count that the luck of the bsg loot pool will you screw you over. are you the type of player to gamble? go meatmaster. otherwise florist is a safer pick giving you full gear with thorns.
but you can argue arachnologist is better because of that weapon. to a certain extent, the spiders can be more annoying in situations due to the amount of them. you have to feed your dogs, what if you don’t have time? arach is beating a wolftamer early game, you can’t base kits off of their late game solely. because the purpose of early game kits is to kill people with late game kits that got unlucky at the start.
viking 9 vs diver 9. the thing with this viking’s appeal is its level X. to completely negate the reason why it’s good is cherry picking.
fisherman vs knight
fish does not start off better than knight because of knight’s protection levels. if we want to talk about potential then in order to potentially get a sharp 1 iron sword knight needs to kill one person with an iron sword whereas fisherman needs to kill two people. at that point we’re just dealing with too many hypotheticals. what if knight upgrades this what if fish upgrades that. that’s why it’s important to stick to the kits with no potentials. it is clunky to rod and hit with the same weapon, therefore a new player could have a hard time adjusting. for a veteran player, fisherman does seem like a better kit. for a beginner that needs more training wheels, knight is the better option. that’s why there is no best kit :)
@@Puct On Fish not starting off better because of the prot lvls, you'd think that but Knight's prot is actually a scam. All the other points COULD be subjective here, and I think more attention should be paid to lower lvl kits and the horror that is their balancing, but this is possibly my worst gripe with a Blitz kit:
Knight gets Full Gold(5.5 armor bars) + 6 levels of Protection
Fisherman gets Full Chain + Diamond Boots(7 armor bars)
A general rule of thumb is that 3 levels of prot is equal to one half armor bar, so according to that Knight gets ~6.5 armor bar equivalents while Fish gets 7, but let's actually do the math.
Knight has 44% DR from their armor bars
Fisherman has 56% DR from their armor bars
Knight has an additional 12-24% DR from protection, average 18%.
To calculate Knight's total, you multiply (1-.44) * (1-.18) = .56*.82= 54.08% DR
Knight doesn't even start out with better armor than Fish.
ima assume your math is right here because i got work to do lmao. here is my rebuttal. is the extra 2% of damage reduction worth it to get targeted by the whole game. it is true that diamond piece is attractive af, so is it worth it? for a new player i would say no. therefore, knight is better because it is more lowkey and produces similar results with a better weapon. it sometimes can be even better than fisherman depending on luck. anyways that’s my short rebuttal have a good rest of your day my brotha also the whole squad has said let’s go knight for the memes never fisherman 😂

In my opinion scout is an super aggressive kit you can wait to clean with speed for the gear and than speed all game for kills best kit for fast win
