- We have traveled the pineapple state expensively, and while they DON'T GROW peaches here they do grow Pineapples. We have seen, most towns and this list lets you know which places you might wanna cross off the list! From staying safe, to avoiding high crime areas these towns are great places to get robbed, starve or even be the victim of a drive by.
ALWAYS check the demographics and crime stats of any towns you may be thinking of relocating to.
You're a bigot!
Southern Georgia suffers from what I call the "Atlanta syndrome." There are 39 counties that make up the Atlanta Metro area (counties that surround Atlanta. Not only is the Atlanta Metro area the largest populated area in the state, with over 6,000,000 people (total GA population is roughly 10.5 million), it's the eighth largest populated area in the US. As a result, most of the money is pumped into the Atlanta Metro area. Major businesses do not float into smaller towns or cities. . . .they settle in the Atlanta Metro area. And Atlanta is an overpopulated shit hole. lol
Very well written description of Atlanta. Many people believe the metro Atlanta area only encompasses 6-10 counties surrounding Atlanta. The metro is SO much bigger than that, and too many places have become bedroom communities for Atlanta without their own identity. I’ve only come to see just how bad this is compared to other states. Other states have small municipalities that are doing well outside larger cities. Rarely do you see that in Georgia.
Have you lived in the ATL metro area?
You nailed it!! The rest of the state is treated like a red-headed step-child compared to the ATL!
Thank you saved my thought 🤔 will not make that choice 😂
Hate Georgia in general, trash ,greedy drug ridden, full of angry and hateful people they have what I like to call the plantation mentality, like the employers own you there's no wealth unless you know people or already have money
The gangs always ruin an area and sometimes leadership does not always do the job to take care of crime also
I was born in Valdosta in 52. My family were farmers in a town 18 miles away. I remember it being a beautiful area with wonderful people. I was 12 when we moved to another state. I took a friend to see where I was born and when we arrived in Valdosta I was stunned at how much it had changed. It not just Valdosta it’s small towns all over the US that ran out of money, no leadership or just don’t care. I left asap and will return because my mother is buried there but it breaks my heart to see how things changed.
In what way , how has it change in terms of demographic crime rate ?
I lived in Forest Park most of my childhood. It was a great place, always something to do. Now it's a slum and the slum is like a virus and keeps moving further a field. Soon the whole state of Georgia will be a slum.
The number one worse place you listed, looks like Tifton Ga. Everything you said is correct, I probably would have added more towns, I was born in Camilla Ga., grew up in Albany Ga., due to no real good jobs. Enlisted and after my service, moved to Atlanta Ga. Why, because my parents and family members are still in Albany. And that's the closest I'm gonna stay. Keep up the good work, guy.
Atlanta sucks because it’s extremely liberal and those small towns because the opposite. You need something in the middle not to an extreme
Love your discloser at the start of the video.
“The comments that people say, and if they’re hateful, rude, and you can just tell they’re nasty people, then that also influences if they made it to the list.” 😂😂😭 I love it
gives ya a good idea LOL
Hey Southern life, you should check out Sparta, Ga
12:10
That's what I gathered from the get-go. I watched about 2 minutes and shut it off.
Definitely Tifton! I was born in Albany and graduated from Worth Co (Sylvester). Still remember my home state with a smile!
I posted a comment on another video, but I see you have done this video on SW GA. I live in one of those towns! Lol
"Reassemble chickens.". That made me chuckle.
You get the idea 😂
That comment had me 💀
I went to school in Culthert, Ga lmaooooo. I got my pre-nursing degree at the college. Seeing the city on here brought back memories. Nothing has changed smh.
Its really boring area
Albany Georgia is bad too. You hit the nail on the head too. South Georgia has always been neglected.
I’m from Oklahoma and was looking for insight on these places in GA. I didn’t know that I was going to have to do homework on a CZcams video.
Thank you to the commenters that actually helped by putting the name of the number one spot.
Who's school used take them on field trips to the Agrirama in Tifton? We used to go every year. LoL
Val Dusta LOL! You should do South Carolina.
Why you come to my town dawg....priceless😂💯
What do you guys say of Tifton? How bad is it to move to Tifton from a bigger city?
DONT…
Tifton is no. 1
do not move there! theres quite literally nothing to do except drugs or fishing. or both 🤣
I was born and raised in Cuthbert Georgia yes it went down and yes that chicken plant smells but at one time it was a great place to live
Couldn't smell worse than Brunswick
I had some of the best breakfast of my life in Tifton. I hate that speed trap with the trooper on the over path clocking speeds for the trooper below. But the gas station is either Loves or pilot and had a deli that packed my plate with grits bacon eggs and biscuits
I do wish you would do something about WEST POINT GA
i did a video there, and after the tornado too.
Bro love Columbus ga and phenix city al u need to come look 👀 again Never have any problems in 20 years loll 😂😂
I live in Tifton was from north Ga glad I’m down in the south
My extended family live in Sylvester and it’s a depressing town. They use to have a huge peanut factory, but Peter Pan left so it’s nothing. Yeah, Hwy 82 is a speed trap!!
I mean Sylvester has a old steam train on display ehhhhh that’s about it
I’m surprised you didn’t say anything about the smell going through Jesup from the paper mill. Smells like rotten eggs.. Oh I out 15 miles east of Tifton..
Dang I live in tifton too 😂 I had a feeling lol food is bad but it’s a great town of people
LOL - too funny
Omg facts🤣🤣 only good food is Asahi and Bojangles
Bojangles is trash 🤮
#1 Tifton. I actually had food poisoning here, and in Adel, Georgia at Western Sizzlin'
Speed trap in Sylvester is actually Poulan GA just east of Sylvester ya'll!!
Tifton, Georgia ?
I’m not gonna comment about the food in Tifton but I’m from the area and I will say they have some of the best drs here and their indigent care program at the local hospital is outstanding. They even cover dr office visits, surgery, labs, hospital, urgent care and will help you get medicine. The healthcare at Tift regional is amazing! if you have no healthcare it’s the place to be. So that’s why people would move here. Oh and next time you come visit. Try Asahi’s it really is the best Asian food in town. I’ve never had an issue with the place and I’m picky so I get what you are saying.
The number one worst town us TIFTON, GA...YOUR ABSOLUTE ITS THE WORST
You must know my family
the last one was savannah? or brunswick?
I'm born and raised in Macon, I honestly wouldn't go back but if I had to then it would only be on the north side or Warner Robins
We go to Macon several times a year for GABBAfest and we have never had any problems. We love the music scene in Macon.
Please be careful every time you travel there 🙏 it's very very dangerous there
Im still here, and yes, past few weeks it been hella rough. People getting killed left and right, the darnest crimes u can think of too
Not Tifton, lol
I live in Oklahoma. I literally just bought pecans at Adcock pecans yesterday. There was once upon a time one good restaurant there known as Ole times, but after the pandemic, it closed.
Forsyth, Ga.? I am going to look now
Forsyth is a nice I work a the walmart. There are some good restaurants.
Funny how you start talking about Jesup and the first footage you show is of Kingsland. Saw the taco bell and the train tracks. Dunno if it was editing error of lack of footage. Just thought it was funny.
its as close to jesup as i could get. I have a little library of videos but nothing on jesup. we slept in jesup in a parking lot one time LOL
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS ever been to folkston? I've lived there before for, 9 years. Graduated high school there. Most people are ok, but this one shop owner who was a former mayor, was real nasty to us because we only bought water (which was not even bottled water) and didnt buy anything else and said we couldn't drink and rest inside the store. Never going back to place ever.
@@thedankgentlemann driven thru there recently. that area is seriously depressing. stopped at a store on the florida side we bought some honey, but the staff was rude.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS well I'll say one thing that's good for sure, is a bbq stand called LuLu's BBQ by the tracks. Best pulled pork, brisket, ribs and chicken you will ever have. I go up there every other weekend for some bbq. We are on a first name basis there. Been going there for 4 years now. If you see a big smoker at the corner of Martin and US 1 that's them. Tell them Alex sent you.
You posted a video of a town talking about how bad it was, and used footage from another town? No wonder you wouldn't say what number one was, you probably didn't know where the stock footage you were using was from.
And to add a rebuttal to the situation! look up 12 Atlanta best!
I live in Georgia. I am not saying I disagree with your list but don't agree with you totally. You should also learn to pronounce your town names if you are going to criticize them. I would also like to know how much research you do before you judge. For instance, how do you know what opportunities are available? Did you check to see what jobs were available before saying no opportunities were available? Just curious what you really know about these towns and what you did other than drive around to make your assessment?
I lived in Atlanta and Conyers Ga. as a kid. I went Lithonia middle school.
My Daddy was raised in Albany Ga. Just so you know it's pronounced All Binny!
that's the only way you know if a person is really from there. people from outta town says it wrong
Actually most Albanians pronounce it ALL- BENNY
It’s definitely pronounced All-binny lol
I'm from Albany Georgia and he forgot men😢 Albany state college!
Tifton, talk about speed traps
Bowdon, Ga didn’t make the list Whitesburg, Ga both of these towns right next door to each other in Carrol County
We took a road trip to Florida and stopped at Tipton for a quick bite, what a depressing place. Gas stations sucked, the chain restaurants were all an hour wait and they only had a few guest, must of been short staffed. The mall sucked, we thought it was abandoned.
I wish you would have seen more of Columbus Georgia. Downtown is great, lots to do. we have some really great restaurants. The Loft, Epic, Smokehouse, list goes on and on. Sorry you didn't get to see our better side. maybe next time
I ate at a place you mentioned, it was OK at best. I have seen nicer parts.. look, the town has issues. its not a great place overall. sadly, the town could be better. some outskirts on the north side are ok
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS You barely even went through Columbus then on top of that you went through the worst part you could find. Then when you final went to the good part of town you still stayed on the outer part.😂 There several articles that says otherwise but hey you like what you like 👍.
I was thinking the same thing
I grew up in Columbus and my family has been there since the 1820s. It was a great place to grow up but has frankly turned to a "chit hole". The Southside has become crime ridden with nearly 100 murders per year in a medium size city which is a disgrace
Columbus sure does have asome very nice neighborhoods because my mother friend whom my mom and I visited has a very nice home!
The thing about Albany is they just keep building like gas stations and then close everything else I guess they want us to all leave the town.
Telling people their homes are garbage and then shocked that they push back.🤷♂️
The truth hurts
You can add Clarkesville to the list because it’s the meth capital of the state the lake houses get broken into A LOT ! The county is building huge apartment complex’s which brings in the crime quickly. Possible crooked law enforcement because some meth dealers are still in business regardless of the facts presented and offered up about them. So just something to think about before you invest in settling down then regret
And Tifton, GA
😂 I grew up about 5 mins from that Adcock peanuts. Tifton, GA
literally same its depressing
As a citizen of Valdosta I apologize for what some of our people said
Left Valdosta in 1987 to join the military (U.S. Army) and never moved back. I live in Germany since 1990. First , as a soldier and now as a civilian.)
Depends on what end of Valdosta you live on......
It all sucks 🤣
Lol I grew up a little north of griffin and it was considered trashy. I actually just moved to griffin 2 months ago and people from my hometown are like really "Griffin" ? It is improving rapidly and really is one of those "other side of the tracks city" I bet if you end up doing an update griffin will fall off list. The downtown area is pretty nice
i got some nasty reactions to me recording there. unwelcoming as crap
Definitely still needs improving. You'll have to try again in a year or so and see if you noticed any changes.
Is this Americus, Ga at #1?
More than half our state lives in Atlanta metro so it overshadows most of the rest of the state
I live in Americus, Ga and while we do have issues it’s a great town. We have Plains ten miles from here as well as Anderson at the other end of Sumter County.
would you advise young families to live there and is it racist
That’s kind of a loaded question because racism is everywhere but saying that it’s not very bad at all. As far as young families it is great for young families but the downside is there’s really not a lot to do. We do have Sumter Players who are involved with the Rylander Theatre(not a movie theatre). They have concerts and comedians who perform there. We do have a rec dept with baseball, soccer, football, gymnastics, etc. we have a dance company here and a winery. Americus has a beautiful downtown with really great shopping.
You’re always going to have bad and good in any town but I’ve been here since 1979 and I love it. There is crime but we have a great police chief and an awesome sheriff. Now I’m going to say our police chief is white and our sheriff is black. I feel safe here. Like I said the only downside is there are no museums, aquariums, etc. Americus is known for being the home of Habitat for Humanity and The Fuller Center. We have South Georgia Technical College and Georgia Southwestern State University. I live in a very diverse subdivision and we all pretty much get along. So to answer your question is my town racist? As a whole no but find me a town that has zero racism of any type.
How did you miss Adel Georgia?
We drove through Adele once in the early 90's, , and the local station was "King Frog Radio." It kept incessantly advertising King Frog Restaurant (an all-you-can-eat place at the time), so that's where we stopped to have lunch. The food was really good, and it tasted like it was from scratch.
I live in the little city of Senoia, Ga. And this used to be such a small town, ya know one road through it called main street, until the walking dead started filming here. Now the town is progressing but putting the older, "more seasoned" businesses under
I grew up in Senoia and it has grown big time. It's a nice place to be. Great small town vibe and lots of restaurants.
I lived most of my life in Griffin. Well once upon a time it was a pretty good place to live but things started changing after I graduated high school. They have a lot disrespectful young people who have bad attitudes because they only want to do what they want to do. They seem to only want what they want and don't care care about what's right and wrong. I don't live anymore I will visit family and friends. But that's the only the only reason I go back.
You that kingsland Georgia your driving through when you said Jesup
Definitely Tifton, I live about 30 minutes from there Fitzgerald, I'm surprised it hasn't made the list lol
Woodbine used to be a nice little town. Sure nuff has some great bbq.
Wrightsville, Pembroke, Jeffersonville, and Twin City should definitely be on the list. All are broken down, sad little towns with absolutely no opportunity. Pembroke is very close to Savannah though so that gives it proximity to better opportunity. I'm surprised Valdosta would be on here considering it's one of Georgia's larger towns and it has a lot going for it with Wild Adventures Theme Park nearby. The Valdosta area is well known for that. Also it has many big-box stores like Kohl's and Best Buy that other towns in Georgia of similar size don't have. Not to mention it may be the smallest town in Georgia that has a mall that's still doing well. Albany is larger than Valdosta but Valdosta is doing better retail-wise even though Albany Mall has Dillard's. I don't understand why retail is in such bad shape in both Albany and Athens.
Used to live in Albany. The main reason that it's doing so bad is because of the crime and violence.
@@SabellaHalfdragon Dang. That’s a shame. Crime is bringing down malls and shopping areas all around the country. Union Square in San Francisco is emptying out and a mall in downtown Norfolk, Va called MacArthur Center is on the verge of becoming a ghost town due to excessive crime. Ohhh and Northlake Mall in Charlotte, NC.
Did you just say pembroke😂. Very clean, great eating and very close to Savannah and statesboro for work. Tons of farm land, and the nicest people you will meet. So what do you not like about pembroke.
Is Newnan good
Please stop talking about Atlanta! Atlanta used to be a sweet place to live. Until people from the north and further south came to live. Please go back home. They have really put a damper on our City. Please go back home! Please go back home!!!
Atlanta IS FULL. Atlanta used to be a classic city, until all these odd people arrived here🤪🤪
Used to be.
There two Macon in Georgia the city of Macon. And you got Macon County which one are talking about for number 5. I born and raised in the city of Macon which is in Bibb County.
Is it nice there???
Living in Tifton and in close proximity to most towns on this list, you should avoid all of South Georgia if you can help it. Just a heads up.
I wouldn't say that entirely. You still have great places to live like Peachtree City, Sharpsburg, Newnan and Tyrone just to name a few.
@@marcusstone5835 thats more of middle GA. South GA is a level different...
Damn my family originally from tifton so don’t go??
lol ya i was born in tifton and still live here and it feels like everyone is still in 2012
Save future generation from drug crime , woke education
Save America prayers
Griffin I've lived locally for a few years the main town I will say the only reason to go through the hood is to get to dairy queen no joke I rarely go through that part of town
Would be nice if you could stop in and talk to someone who knows the history of the town, and also visit one of the Churches.
Get away from me satan
Tifton, GA is the worst?
Griffin is a peculiar town/city
From woodbine, and I agree
best BBQ place out there? we go to the one in town any other ones better?
There's Alot places to choose from.
How about savannah or Hinesville are they good places to move to? if so im looking for a income based apt
Welp, growing up in Macon, I was expecting Macon to be number 1 on this list…downtown Macon is starting to revitalize a bit though…maybe that’s why it was number 5 versus number 1.
Im not from Valdosta but i reside here i moved from Fl.
EVERY CITY has its FLAWS(just like a human)so you make the best of it or just move thats all and
Just to put a POSITIVE SPIN on it
This city is friendly you ride around the whole city people will wave at you from there porch for no reason& speak to you unlike most Cities where people are to busy to speak FACTS but anywho
Valdosta has Wild Adventures Amusement park and also has Moody Airforce base this city has investment opportunities HOUSES ETC... Wayyyyyy cheaper for Lots of land Good Retirement Spot and close to Fl. If you want to Vacay
AND your number 1 spot is Tifton Adcock pecans gave it away 😊
I love Valdosta ❤️ never experienced anything negative there. Guess we're all different 🤷
I just want to thank you for making this positive comment , I totally agree with everything in your comment ,like no where is perfect,so we as ppl must make the best of this life that God gave us , my husband and I are looking to retire and just find some good ppl that maybe left that we can become neighbors with . 😂 I CAME ACROSS Valdosta Georgia. It looks nice from videos and homes look well kept . No ghetto look ,no trash all over the neighborhood, no thugs on corners 🙄I would love to visit this place before my husband and I consider to make an offer . Once again thank you for your honesty 👍🏽❤
It’s a worst list what were you expecting? Personally I have had a good experience every time I went to like “wild adventures” for example. It’s all the way at 10 on the list so it’s not like it’s particularly bad just has flaws, barely made the list to begin with.
Wasn't Valdosta named "Title Town" by ESPN?
Still a backwoods town full of haters
Their high school football is amazing. Can’t say the same for the town itself
I was stationed im valdosta, i enjoyed it. Sorry for your experience. In columbus now. It sucks
@@sh0wg0hardwould you say its a sundown town?
@@PeaceNU2 I’ve seen worse don’t get me wrong but being from Georgia I’ve just seen much better.
I remember when you drove through Dalton.. Driving through Dalton in the projects you said it was the cleanest hood .. Dalton has sooooo much to offer.
i really like that town
Valdosta is mosquito capital, why I would rate it on the negative spectrum
Me being from South Georgia, born in Cuthbert but lived most of my life in Edison which absolutely sucks more than any other city on this list and Albany have been to most of those places , I will agree Sylvester is a speed trap as well as neighboring Poulan 😂😂😂
They wrong 🤣🤣🤣
I'm from Griffin, you're right lol.
I lived in Griffin with a Dr couple and worked as their nanny for 6 yrs and YES it was awful even in the huge Victorian mansion i resides in out in the middle of a field it was still depressing
My daughter lives in Cummings Georgia. It’s very nice there!
Thomasville Ga.
Is it Newnan Ga
What's the number one
7 out of 10 correct pronunciations of town names. That's' better than some "experts" I've seen on the Tube.
The town is Tifton, Ga
I'm from around Valdosta, if you're going by the rude comments then I get it but for the most part we are more friendly and welcoming. It's still a crap city tho lol. You should see my little town Ray City just northeast of Valdosta it's pretty sad 😂
@@RefinedGentalman what am I lying about exactly? I never said there was anything to do here. 🤡
I'm surprised milledgeville ain't on no one's list.
Tifton?
#1- Tifton you said in a livestream there was a really bad Mexican restaurant there that made you sick you so I’m assuming that’s #1. How ghetto is Tifton?
All south GA is fairly run down
It’s Tifton. It’s showing downtown tifton
Can you go to Savannah or SC low country soon? I’m kinda curious about Tybee island ga and the islands south of Beaufort sc (st Helena island, hunting island, fripp island). It looks like a beautiful area
The unidentified town is Tifton.
Cadwell, GA is awful. It looks pretty enough at first glance but there's nothing there. Even both convenience stores were closed last time I checked and they closed before I moved, over 10 years ago. I am so glad I moved from there.
that is one boring area for sure, and poverty ridden too
Dalton ga?
Is it Tifton?
Yup
I live in the Atlanta suburbs, used to live in midtown. I used to love Atlanta but it's gotten way too big. Too expensive.
I grew up in Columbus. A lot of snobs. I used to get depressed there a lot and I couldn't figure out why. A year or two before we left I FINALLY started liking it and of course we went back to Atlanta.
I have no idea what no. One is. I live in Ilinois close to Wisconsin!
waycross?
I agree with this whole list Especially, when you named Valdosta, Sylvester, Albany and Columbus.
Columbus, Ga...ok so I see you were in a shopping center called Cross Country Plaza. The best Mexican restaurant in Columbus is here. It is called Vallarta. Their food is really fresh, and hand made. It is not the best town in Georgia, but definitely not the worse. Since you drive around Georgia all the time, I would suggest going to Victory Drive at Cross Country Plaza and eating at Vallarta.
you past bye the super value inn I use to stay at yesuu
Tifton Georgia
Just go back to Dalton.. Go to Cresent City Tavern.. ask for Suzy and tell her Brian sent you for lunch .. I’ll Pay…
Tifton was #1 lol. I live about 45 minutes away
Its improved alot
