Let's all aim to be as chilled as Dave during rehousing 😆👌
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
He's Zen!
@@bobfor4868 😂😂😂👍
This is what I’m striving for. So far Dave all your tricks of the trade have worked for me. All I have is 4 slings right now but I’m getting ready for when they are bigger
I like how gentle you are. Some of the other spider youtubers really like pissing the spider off instead of really taking the time to appreciate how they naturally operate. Thanks for not stressing the spiders out too much its much more interesting that way!
Dave's drinking game - take a shot every time he says 'stunning looking spider'
I'm wasted!!!!
😂😂😂 but they are STUNNING mate 😂👍
@@daveslittlebeasties they definitely are!!
@@ianvertibrates843 😂😂😂😂👍
Can imagine if you tried to release the spiders... They'd be like "Nah...We wanna stay with Dave" Great videos the Bob Ross of the
Spider world.
❤️❤️❤️
If they had sentient thought then they would want to stay with Dave... free housing, free food, free medical, and 100% safety from being eaten, squashed, sprayed, or any other threats spiders normally have to deal with.
You are definitely the spider whisperer. Since I discovered your channel I have started watching other spider keepers, and you are by far the calmest, most gentle handler of spiders. Almost never do your spiders appear upset or stressed and I find that amazing. Also, please say hi to camera lady for me.
Thanks jamie, and welcome tom our channel my friend 👍❤️
He constructed a beautiful enclosure in 487 seconds (from the first handful of substrate to the final squirt of water) and rehoused a C. marshalli with skill and patience, all while educating us on the conditions of their native land. Great video!
Your very kind my friend ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely in love with your channel Dave. I appreciate the fact you never miss the chance to put emphasis on gentle handling and being calm. Very educative and professional.
You make such beautiful and intricate homes for your tarantulas! Shows how much you care about them. Thank you! 😊🧡🕷
Wow the enclosure is beautiful and i may say a work of art and the spider is right there too such a beauty i love blue spider ..
You have good advice conserning the aditude to have in the manipulation of your spiders

Thank you Sharon 👍
Dave, the interior designer to the celebrity tarantula world. A beautiful spider! Love the horn.
😂😂😂❤️
Tops Dave....we always feel blessed when we get to a new video from you 🤘
Thanks guys it means the world to me 👍❤️
I had one of these beauties, she was so houseproud and hated it when I removed carcasses from her cage, she'd go into a huge clean up operation! I loved watching her webbing she made the most amazing home for herself. She used to attack the water droplets whenever I misted too, she was very territorial but as long as you didn't do something to upset her she was as sweet as a nut and great to watch!
Dave, you are for me the best tarantula CZcamsr because of your calm and drama free style. You showed how to rehouse one of these guys effortlessly and with minimal fuss. Massive respect.
Just wanted to point out one thing. You mentioned keeping them wet during winter. My parents were born and raised in Zimbabwe and winter is actually the dry season with the rains coming in the summer. When we used to visit in the summer it would be hot all day and then in the afternoon there would be a 10/15 minute almighty downpour and then the sun would be out again. It happened nearly every day like clockwork.
I'd suggest keeping them dry during our cooler months and then spraying once a day during the summer if you're trying to match their conditions more accurately. You're right about the cooler night temperatures in winter too. I've camped in Southern Africa and woken up to frost on the tent.
wow what a beautiful horned baboon and you did a great job with the enclosure keep up the great work
Thank you my friend 👍
A gorgeous T, no doubt about that. She was really well behaved. Definitely not the same temperament as the infamous P. murinus. Looking forward to what she'll do with her surroundings. Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
Thanks buddy the pairing video is on its way👍
hello great video rehouseing Dave

The set up u have now is really nice
Another beautiful setup and chilled rehouse. Great job 👏
Very nice enclosure
That’s is a nice set up
They are great. I had quite a few speicies years ago. I kept them on a very deep mix of clay and soil, with the deepest layer moist. I never flooded the tank, but they seemed happy anyway
Very cool mate they are good spiders to keep.👍
Sir I have to say I respect the fact you put so much love in to each spider enclosure you have to male each one feel at home . I love your videos and I love all the pretty arachnids you have

Can we get a followup of how she went in her new enclosure since a year ago?
Yeah that would be actually very interesting

Amazing enclosure Dave ! really loved it. I have 5 C. Marshalli slings, I got them a month ago. I hope I'll have some females like yours. Great video, keep it up !
Thank you, you will love watching your slings develop 👍
Rear horned baboon is one of my favorite spiders. Absolutely beautiful species and behaves exactly how you would want it to. 👍
Hello Dave absolutely love you channel, I have learned so much about Tarantulas and spiders from you. Your husbandry is exceptionally great. You really know your stuff!
Awesome thank you!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very nice set up!
Not sure how I missed this one. I love your enclosure builds, this one is lovely.

Great video Dave I have an AF c marshali.mine dug the corner out and she sits down in there.thanks for sharing.
There lovely spiders mate .
I've got one of these little buggers.
Hardly ever see it but it has started venturing out a bit more just lately.
My one is still tiny at the moment though.
There lovely spiders 👍
She is pretty. Her new home is very nice. Thank you for making these videos.
So nice of you
Great set up Dave, definitely going to try my own bioactive set up
Thats what we hope you will do keep us informed as to how you get on 👍
What a stunning spider. I must add one to my liitle collection soon.
We have some lovely green on slings available message me on fascebook
Very useful/educational channel I'm so glad I found you!!
Welcome and im glad your enjoying the content 👍❤️
Awww, look at that little horn! I'm just getting into T's; hoping to get a lasiodora parahybana soon.
Great choice, beautiful t
Watch out for the hairs they kick! Worst of all my Ts, had me itching for days!
One of my favorite channels. Like the way you talk, I'm from the other side of the pond
I'm really impressed with your channel so far! You make utterly delightful videos that are always a treat to watch, I'm excited to see the new content in the future!
such a magical spider !!
We should get a longer look at the still shots before the name of the channel flashes on. I really like to take a look at them. Such clear, crisp photos. You can take a good long look at their colors and markings.
Great video again dave
One of the most beautiful spiders you'll never see. lol
She is out all the time gav every evening on the prowl
Beautiful girl, mate... and kicked up no fuss. She's so pretty with her markings. Very striking.
Thank you kindly
Great video, you gave me a lot of inspiration for how to arrange my darlingi's new enclosure. Your marshalli is beautiful :)
Glad it was helpful!
Love the thought and care you take in setting up your enclosures for your T's. Makes looking at the enclosure almost as fun as looking at that beautiful C. marshalli. I have all kinds of tarantula envy every time I watch another of your videos.
Thanks so much!
Very good placement of those dragon stones! Did you ever consider making an arid type enclosure with yellow soil, dried branches, , dried grass bushes, some arid plants? Think it would look great with these and similar species :)
Thats a nice idea 👍
A pet hole 😂😂😂❤️
Great video! The enclosure you made for her was gorgeous. And it’s always interesting to hear you say a spider can be defensive (and I’m sure rightly so), yet I just don’t see a ton of that with your spiders when you handle them. Says a lot about you…I’ve enjoyed learning about these amazing creatures from you. Intriguing about the horn & possible use of it…I had been wondering!
Thanks for watching!
Im planning to get my first fossorial old world tarantula. I can't seem to decide whether to get a c marshalli or a c darlingi. Both are recommended as good starter old world ts and both look so good!
Such an adored species! Gorgeous. I want another one, had a male
We have lots of slings available
Going to add a sub adult female c.darlingi to my collection next week. Beautiful spiders.
very nice addition 👍
aww, she's a unicorn !!!
Nicely done again :)
Thank you
Your enclosure is possibly the nicest I have seen. Truly a master at work 💪👷
Thank you my friend lots more bio-active enclosures on there way 😂👍
@@daveslittlebeasties yiur more than welcome dave. I'm new to your channel but you have become my favourite and go to guy for husbandry.. I love your style and character that comes across in your videos. Your knowledge is clearly bang on..
I can't wait to see more of you buddy. Also mate I see you have lots of breeding spiders. Where could I buy one of your slings from. Would love a daves sling for my collection

Can u do some P.Cambridgei video in near future?
Yes I will do a rehousing very soon 👍
Love your work Dave, l myself do not own any Spiders, l am terrified of them but l have always been interested in big Tarantulas. Keep up the great work..........From Jess down under.
You should!❤️
Great vid bud. One question though, do you not use your forest substrate anymore, if not, why?
Yes I do , with the more fossorial spiders the compost works better for holding the humidity I need and I just use the beastie substrate for topping off and to make it look more natural .👍
Love the setup Dave just wondering what size is that tank and where did you get them from
Its a Komodo 30x30x30
Pritty girl
Hey Dave, absolutely love your channel and your videos, I've gained so much knowledge and inspiration from them, but I was just wondering as to why you would use peat compost when it is typically unsustainably sourced due to coming from peat bogs? Just a question! All the love and respect to you, my friend.
I use either leaf mulch which I collect myself or regular potting compost which is a man made mix with very little peat in it if any ?
Just got my marshalli today and boy is she the best! My fav so far just don't tell the others :P
There stunning spiders 👍
me small speaker playing music
2 weeks la8tr spider does the bum dance xd
😂😂😂😂
👍👍
Great video dave, beautiful species! Can I ask where you get your komodo tanks, im after some myself but can't seem to get hold of the 30cm cube. Thanks
I get all mine from Southern aquatics find out where's your nearest and phone them as there website is crap.👍
@@daveslittlebeasties awesome thanks mate
I was reading about horned baboon spiders (the newish variety recently described in Angola) for the purposes of my own research into the true spider, Rhomphaea sagana (gorgeous, but little pains in the butt). I have heard some suggestion that a larger muscle connecting to the sucking stomach could provide extra sucking power, allowing for faster feeding, but that seems kind of iffy to me. Are there sexually dimorphic differences between horns? It may be that they aid in mate recognition. Maybe they improve water retention (do they become less turgid when a spider is dehydrated)? I am not a big fan of the look of the horns, I must confess (though I am really warming up to it over time), but they pose some fascinating questions about their functional anatomy, don't they?
Its very hard to find any information on them but the males dont carry them when mature
What enclosure is that? It's perfect for what I need for my Hogna Miami Wolf spider.
Dave face reveal of your wifey too 😇😇
You be lucky she shy 😂
@@daveslittlebeasties oh co’mon😂
Of all these videos i have watched, that is the hardest (and mind anyone reading this it wasnt that hard at all) I have seen you have to tickle a spider into the new home. That spider seemed to not give a hoot about what was going on. 😂
Bought one of these yesterday, a sling! I hope it reaches maturity 😬
Best of luck!
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Wood chips?
You bought her at a local chain petshop didnt you xD
She came from a private seller my friend 👍
Wow your room is small at this time.
what do you think ! i re housed my obt. there was a ball of silk started moving. it was a dubia roach inside, been in there 2 weeks or so, it freekd me a bit !
😂😂😂😂 I guess se wrapped it up for later 😂👍
I have a little baby one if these around an inch
Very nice. I like the looks of these glass enclosures but they have no cross ventilation only top ventilation correct?
Looks like a komodo, these only have mesh tops. I have a couple of these and have had no issues but I do prefer exo terra.
ya i think they're all exo terra, not ideal for tarantulas. i like to make all my enclosures since it's cheaper and you customize the ventilation.
They're definitely not exo Terra. These are komodos, he says it in the first few minutes
@@calmsouls4502 same style just a different brand name lol
Hi John these are Komodos and there fully vented mesh roofs, the need for cross ventilation with these species is not totally nesasary or needed .
Do you still have this lady? Very attractive enclosure!
Yes we had a successful sac from her and done a video on it 👍
How big do they get to ,and are they arboreal
These are terrestrial spiders and get around 5-6 inch in size
Hey Dave what enclosure is this please? Thanks
Its a 30x30x30 Komodo
I'm very weary of putting live plants in with my tarantula as I heard that some plants are toxic to tarantulas but then I've heard most plants are fine for them which gets confusing but I'm also aware that insects and spiders don't like certain plants for example spiders don't like lavender or mint so I'm not sure if Tarantulas have similar hates.
Most house plants are fine just stay away from any that are heavly scented or sharp and pointed and you will be fine , ivy are always good and potos are good too .
@@daveslittlebeasties Cool thank you :D
