- How I Paint Landscape Just By 4 Colors Oil Painting Landscape Step By Step 41 By Yasser Fayad
Apparently, we only use the three primary colors (blue, yellow, and red) in addition to white, which is a neutral color, but we give them four colors metaphorically so that the novice trainees can understand the matter.
But in fact, you can create an infinite number of colors by mixing these three colors together and obtaining beautiful oil paintings
Primary colors are the basic colors that cannot be created by mixing other colors. In art, the primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. These colors are important in oil painting because they can be mixed to create all other colors on the color wheel.
Oil paints are a popular medium for artists because they offer a wide range of colors, are easy to blend, and have a long drying time, which allows for more flexibility in the painting process. When it comes to oil paints, there are many brands and types of paint available, each with their own unique characteristics.
White and black are important colors in oil painting, as they are used to adjust the value and tone of other colors. White oil paint is often used to create tints, which are lighter versions of a color. For example, mixing white with blue will create a lighter blue color. White can also be used to lighten other colors without significantly changing their hue.
Black oil paint, on the other hand, is often used to create shades, which are darker versions of a color. For example, mixing black with blue will create a darker blue color. Black can also be used to darken other colors without significantly changing their hue.
It's important to note that not all white and black oil paints are created equal. There are many different types of white and black pigments, each with their own unique properties. For example, titanium white is a popular white pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while zinc white is a more transparent white pigment that is often used in glazes. Similarly, ivory black is a popular black pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while lamp black is a more transparent black pigment that is often used in underpainting.
When selecting white and black oil colors, it's important to consider the pigment properties and choose colors that are compatible with the other colors you are using. It's also a good idea to experiment with different types of white and black pigments to find the ones that work best for your particular painting style and techniques.
It's worth noting that some artists prefer not to use black paint in their oil paintings and instead create shades by mixing complementary colors together. Complementary colors are colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel, such as red and green, blue and orange, or yellow and purple. Mixing these colors together can create a darker hue without the use of black paint.
In addition to white and black, oil paints also come in a range of other colors, including earth tones, greens, blues, reds, and yellows, among others. Many artists also mix their own colors to create custom shades and hues.

👋Good evening, dear. Hope you are reasonably well. - With this painting you have once again outdone yourself. I lack superlatives to describe the beauty of these works. I think I need to come up with new terms, such as: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (Musical Mary Poppins)! The colors are just phenomenal ! At first I thought we were in a fairy tale forest, because the whole scenery is just magically beautiful. But let's hold back with these statements for now. Our gaze first wanders into the atmospheric distance, where on the horizon, far behind the trees visible there, the light blue sky appears, illuminated by a bright glow. Through the lingering haze, bare tree trunks can be recognized, which have perhaps already shed some of their leaves due to the approaching autumn and are stretching up into the sky like bony arms. Closer to the viewer, the air still seems damp, but there you can make out more greenery and bushes, a beautiful tall fir and many deciduous trees whose species I can only guess at. Their leaf crowns are sprawling, still looking lush and green, and only in a few places are clearly recognized colored leaves. On the left, we admire the beautiful trunk of a large old tree, which has certainly witnessed and experienced a lot in its life. At its foot, a beautiful pupelish-red bush has decided to live, the bright color of which clearly courts attention. We involuntarily held our breath, because on the opposite side of a path that narrows into the depths, in front of the forest, we discover a building that seems to have arisen from a dream. Sure, the house is past its best, but what's to stop the occupants from giving it a needed touch-up now and then? It was once partly built of stone and wood, and in some places the age is already clearly visible. But nothing that couldn't be fixed occasionally. Seems to me the roof will need newer wooden shingles soon, because the original ones are overgrown with a thick green plant, maybe some kind of moss or ivy, the roots of which may have already caused damage, having taken hold in the cracks. But it can also be that the forest simply takes back what was once taken from it. The house was built somewhat angled, a protrusion here and one there, and a dormer was placed on top of it at that time, behind which there is probably a room that could continue to the back of the building. Anyway, there is a plus for the pretty sight. On the roof of the other half of the house we find a chimney, a close look tells that it was probably built of bricks, lovingly bricked and even more lovingly drawn. Just behind it grows another purple tree or tall shrub that seems to hug the roof of the house, resting its weary head almost where the upper halves of the roof unite into one. Perhaps it is being pushed from behind, where the forest is thickening again and a mature deciduous tree snuggles against its back. From there we lower our gaze and dive into the depths of an open door, which, however, does not reveal what is trying to hide in the dark behind it. We walk around the building and finally meet the front door, which also seems to be open. It is set back a little and a few steps lead up to it. (-->part 2)
Part 2: To the right and left of it there are porches, the reason for which they are used, however, remains hidden from us. Most likely, they serve to increase the living space. It's not especially a garden which surrounds the house, but quite some lovely blooming plants have settled as if fencing a larger open space in front of it. As we cross the square by means of our gaze, we catch sight of a stone bridge, apparently placed here by a wise and skillful hand, so that a narrow stream can be traversed safely. From a distance, the bridge looks newly built, but is probably almost or as old as the house itself. Many blooming flowers and low shrubs have also settled on this side of the creek. Even if the soil appears dry, there is still enough moisture to ensure their survival. Well, that nice old house doesn't exactly look like a hermit's cave, does it? But it's built in a tranquil setting that's great for artists to do their work. Authors or painters, for example, would be very happy in such a place where they are not hindered by anyone in their creative phase. Supplies can be stored and there is enough water, even if there doesn't seem to be a well near the house. Right now we are probably seeing the male inhabitant of this wonderful place, wearing a hat on his head and carrying a water canister in one of his hands. One can now almost be sure that he is living here all by himself. There are very few men who would fetch their water themselves once there is a woman around. He seems to be enjoying his life here and has all the time in the world, his free hand casually buried in his pants pocket, at least it looks that way, as he leisurely prepares to cross the bridge to the other, perhaps lower bank, to fill the canister. Whether an author or a painter, such an environment is an inspiration and ultimately a deeply satisfying work will result. - Dear Yasser, there is simply no better activity than spending the Sunday (or any other day) with one of your paintings :-) It's not just about the content, but also the approach and execution. Every brush stroke is well thought out, every mark is applied with a great degree of care, everything is falling into the right place. It is very intentional, nothing is left to chance. Your painting is inspiring, lovely, and outstanding beautiful, filled with loving details such as flowers, moss on the roof or the wooden shingles, the colours well mixed, harmonious and unparalleled. As I mentioned, I'll be back with new superlatives, but even those won't be enough to describe your skills. It's completely overwhelming. Thank you, dear, it was a pleasure watching. May God bless and protect you.❤
Good evening, dear Cora. As usual, I enjoyed a lot with your well-articulated words ❤❤❤ and flowery phrases, which were played very well as a harmonious piece of music.
Thank you, you exaggerate too much in complimenting me You've embarrassed me 😁😁😁. Good night🌹
