  • How I Paint Landscape Just By 4 Colors Oil Painting Landscape Step By Step 59 By Yasser Fayad
Apparently, we only use the three primary colors (blue, yellow, and red) in addition to white, which is a neutral color, but we give them four colors metaphorically so that the novice trainees can understand the matter.
But in fact, you can create an infinite number of colors by mixing these three colors together and obtaining beautiful oil paintings
Primary colors are the basic colors that cannot be created by mixing other colors. In art, the primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. These colors are important in oil painting because they can be mixed to create all other colors on the color wheel.
Oil paints are a popular medium for artists because they offer a wide range of colors, are easy to blend, and have a long drying time, which allows for more flexibility in the painting process. When it comes to oil paints, there are many brands and types of paint available, each with their own unique characteristics.
White and black are important colors in oil painting, as they are used to adjust the value and tone of other colors. White oil paint is often used to create tints, which are lighter versions of a color. For example, mixing white with blue will create a lighter blue color. White can also be used to lighten other colors without significantly changing their hue.
Black oil paint, on the other hand, is often used to create shades, which are darker versions of a color. For example, mixing black with blue will create a darker blue color. Black can also be used to darken other colors without significantly changing their hue.
It's important to note that not all white and black oil paints are created equal. There are many different types of white and black pigments, each with their own unique properties. For example, titanium white is a popular white pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while zinc white is a more transparent white pigment that is often used in glazes. Similarly, ivory black is a popular black pigment that is very opaque and has a high tinting strength, while lamp black is a more transparent black pigment that is often used in underpainting.
When selecting white and black oil colors, it's important to consider the pigment properties and choose colors that are compatible with the other colors you are using. It's also a good idea to experiment with different types of white and black pigments to find the ones that work best for your particular painting style and techniques.
It's worth noting that some artists prefer not to use black paint in their oil paintings and instead create shades by mixing complementary colors together. Complementary colors are colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel, such as red and green, blue and orange, or yellow and purple. Mixing these colors together can create a darker hue without the use of black paint.
In addition to white and black, oil paints also come in a range of other colors, including earth tones, greens, blues, reds, and yellows, among others. Many artists also mix their own colors to create custom shades and hues.

👋Good evening, dear Yasser. If you were a musician, you would now get well-deserved standing ovations and receive unending applause for this wonderful performance ! - How did we get here again?! The answer is simple, today we're going by boat again, because it's easier than walking through this richly wooded landscape, because the paths are few and far between here. Coincidence and the stream that runs through this terrain and which we have followed up to here have brought us to this beautiful location. We have driven the boat to the shore and settled down here to take in this beautiful spot of earth. Looking into the distance, we notice above the landscape and through the hazy atmosphere the impression of a blue appearing firmament, where above the treetops two birds are leisurely circling. After dismissing the thought "you can't see the forest for the trees", we take a closer glance and details come to our attention. Far back towards the horizon, we only dimly perceive trees, but closer to our position, this vague impression gives rise to the certainty that it is worth taking a closer look. Majestic, probably old deciduous trees, yet richly leafy, tower up in front of us, their mightiest trunks and largest branches reaching towards the sky as if wanting to scratch at it. The colors of the leaf canopy seem autumnal, but depending on the incidence of light and the time of day, the tones change, and it is now afternoon. The sun is still in the sky and illuminating this area from the left, already creating slightly longer shadows. But there are more signs of this time of day, which we will discuss later. To the left of the centre of our field of vision, somewhat lower trees have settled, rather roundish in shape, densely leafy, the leaves of one of them shimmer in the light and on its left periphery in a very bright shade of yellow, while its friend standing next to it has chosen a dark golden tone for its headdress. Both are separated from each other by a grassy area, the upper surface of which, just partially sunlit, pushes itself into our perception in a light yellowish hue. A lush green large tree joins the edge of the field of vision and stands as if protecting behind a lower building, which is modestly content with the small space it has been allocated. The little house is brightly painted and bears a reddish pointed roof, which the foliage has cheekily hogged simply for support. We catch sight of the entrance door and a window on the main side, both closed and appearing light brown in the light. Some low shrubs blessed with light pink flowers nestle directly against the wall of the house, below, extending to the edge of the stream, another grassy, slightly sloping area catches the eye, where the grasses stand tall and also appear to be in bloom. A few large boulders, which may have rolled down from above, are stranded on the shore, strengthening part of the rim there and are also heavy enough not to be carried away by the water. The narrow stream seems to continue on the far left, but in addition it forks before our eyes, and we now have a total of three other possible inlets or outlets, apart from the one behind our backs, which we took to get here, and which all lead in different directions, showing some reflections of the surroundings. Two of them run directly in front of us on both sides of a property, one on the left, the other on the right and passing under a stone bridge built of large light-coloured boulders. In the centre of our field of vision, a light plastered house rises on the patch of land, with some steps leading up to it from the water. Pink flowering shrubs grow on both sides, and there seems to be something like a banister on either side. The shrubs extend all the way to the house, and low greenery also grows along the foot of the bridge. The stairs lead to a brown entrance door, to the left of it we make out a window, above it two more. Above the door another one has been built in, its blue shutters are currently open to let light into the house. Moving further to the right across the stone-covered ground, we come to a fifth window opening with blue-painted protective shutters. The home apparently has one storey flat, above which is the attic, possibly also converted, below the red-roofed peaked roof, from which emerges a brick chimney, currently smoking and perhaps indicating autumnal temperatures and coolness in the home. At the front, about floor level, a rampant pink-flowering creeper has taken hold, still spreading, as can be seen from the tendrils. Even the roof does not seem to be safe from this parasite. Our gaze wanders back down to the stream, where a canoe lies in the water, kept from drifting by a rope attached to a post. Its brown body reflects on the smooth surface of the relatively calmly moving water, as do those of the pretty pair of white swans that glide unmolested here. Back at the right-hand corner of the house, the stone path leads uphill a little way and onto the bridge, bordered by a long railing, at the edge of which towards the gable end of the building two beautiful medium-sized trees have their location. The one directly against the wall is bluish in colour, perhaps a jacaranda, its neighbour possibly called a copper beech or fire maple, who knows. A few steps further on, above the arch of the bridge, under which the stream passes, a young female, wearing a pretty light blue midi dress and with long light blond hair that she wears loose, has meanwhile appeared. When we spot her, with a lithe twist of her body, she pours out a large container of fluid, which mixes with the water at the foot of the bridge with a soft splash. Finally, we turn our gaze to the pink flowering shrubs to our right and thus end our visual circuit. - Dear Yasser, thank you for showing us this extraordinary, beautiful painting. Motif, colours, details - I don't know where to start and stop admiring it. This work of art is simply breathtaking. Be blessed.💖
