Love the detailed tutorial! I appreciate you explaining why you do what you do ( why you topstitch first, why you increase stitch length etc).

You have now taught me how to turn a corner on an overlocker Abi.thank you . My 2 bed caddies for grandchildren worked beautifully , I just secured with Velcro instead of a popper.

What a great project and tips!
Serger versus overlocker is just terminology depending on where you live. The US seems to lean to serger while other countries say overlocker. It’s like inches (US) and centimeters (everyone else) 😊. I’m in the US but trying to use centimeters; seems more accurate.

Pretty and useful thing. I would have liked to see how i.e. where it can be attached. In Germany we differentiate overlocker and cover lock machine. The latter can also kind of top stitch.

You are a pleasure to watch.... your personality is so warm, friendly and inviting.... you spread such happiness and I always get excited when you post another video. Please may I ask you, if you have time, about the best weight of Vleseline fabric stabiliser to use for different projects. Best wishes. Jennie viewing from Sheffield. xx

I wanted to make a caddy for my phone and iPad along with some other items. Would you suggest making the iPad (mine is older so it’s quite large) pocket with elastic? And if so how would you suggest going about that. The iPad pocket will be the far back pocket. Love this caddy and all your videos. I’ve been watching any and every video that shows how to sew with elastic and elastic pocket videos. All these videos are making me dizzy! And I’m new to sewing 🤣

Great tutorial I’m making one for my hard to buy for dad. May I suggest using thinner wadding then it won’t bunch up so much. One of my first patchwork projects my sister got the wadding and it was thick like yours and so hard to use, double sided fusible means you don’t have to pin either. I love the tutorial on the overlocker (I’m from Australia) and a bit scared to use them. Is there a video on how to thread them, I’m ok until you get to the right side of the overlocker. I have now subscribed to your channel. What gadget did you use to make the hole for the snap? Thanks from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺

@@lindseyingoldby532 me too my first patchwork class I had a nurse was there and told us always close your rotary cutter too she’s seen many people cut their toes off by knocking it off the table. So always use your ruler and close the cutter every time.

Clare Young thank you Clare. I did but because I had the radio on in the background, it’s listed as contains copyright material. The music company are okay with it but take all the money (a whopping £3.62 😂, people don’t make much money on CZcams as I always thought) but I didn’t like the idea of having that on me. I’ll remake the video but you made me smile. Thank you for your support 🌷😊
