If there is a need to get another Qb, then at least the Raiders have utilized this draft to set the pieces in place for the next guy. As far as a rookie Qb to consider this season and still allows Raiders to strengthen the Oline and add playmakers on Defense, is Carter Bradley. Solid Qb from South Alabama who will fit Getsy’s scheme really well. No he isn’t a Day 1 starter and future Hall of Famer. However, he would be a very good addition to the Qb room.
Great question about AOC's value in hindsight. When you take into account all of the factors mentioned and his record in the division, he CLEARLY was a homerun pick. Let's focus on OT, CB and the 3rd QB with promise. Then we can find good value in a RB, S and WR. Use your head Telesco and steer clear of all the QB hype.

You're saying we are only capable of 1 more win than last season? We were 1 play our direction from winning atleast 3 more games last year, if not 5. Aidan even kept us in the Miami game. He wasn't a high value pick up to begin with. He wasn't even the number 2 and still did ok. So if he and the offense improves at all, those few missed plays are now going our way. As long as we don't have to fully rely on the defense to win we are much better off than last season.

The reality of the situation is if A0C was a first rd pick the Raiders wouldn't have even s remote inclination to pick a qb this year, but since he was a fourth rd. pick the investment isn't as high so the door is open , deservedly or not, to draft a supposed "franchise qb" . I would guess no. Before they even ask about a trade they have done the analysis and have an idea of what players each team might take. Knowing that, they probably have a plan B,C, etc depending on the distance between picks.

I don't believe Aidan can become a good enough QB to get us to the promised land. People will cape for Brock Purdy and how underrated he is, yet he took the most complete, most talented team in the Super Bowl, and lost to Mahomes and the Chiefs. Is Aidan better than Purdy now? Because there's a very slim chance we build a roster remotely as good as the Niners, yet we're expecting him to be able to go toe to toe with Mahomes if we just build around him. People are out here acting like only first round QBs bust, that they always bust, and there's never been a bad offensive lineman picked in the first, so it's just a guarantee that we can just sit here drafting OL and magically it'll be top 5 and ready for Aidan to take us to the promised land in his age 29 4th season. It reeks of coping. If he gets better and I'm wrong, that's great. I just want to win. I just don't think the way to do it is throw Aidan in a brand new system that doesn't fit him, and then blow off every opportunity to draft a QB in the first when we need one just because there's a potential to bust.
Why is there a slim chance that we build a roster as good as the Niners? Why not see what AOC (and any other QBs on the roster) can do with a competent line and a full offseason of training and practicing? Worst case is they are forced to use all of their draft capital next offseason on a QB, but the rest of the team will already be built.

I don't believe Aidan can become a good enough QB to get us to the promised land. People will cape for Brock Purdy and how underrated he is, yet he took the most complete, most talented team in the Super Bowl, and lost to Mahomes and the Chiefs. Is Aidan better than Purdy now? Because there's a very slim chance we build a roster remotely as good as the Niners, yet we're expecting him to be able to go toe to toe with Mahomes if we just build around him. People are out here acting like only first round QBs bust, that they always bust, and there's never been a bad offensive lineman picked in the first, so it's just a guarantee that we can just sit here drafting OL and magically it'll be top 5 and ready for Aidan to take us to the promised land in his age 29 4th season. It reeks of coping. If he gets better and I'm wrong, that's great. I just want to win. I just don't think the way to do it is throw Aidan in a brand new system that doesn't fit him, and then blow off every opportunity to draft a QB in the first when we need one just because there's a potential to bust.
Why is there a slim chance that we build a roster as good as the Niners? Why not see what AOC (and any other QBs on the roster) can do with a competent line and a full offseason of training and practicing? Worst case is they are forced to use all of their draft capital next offseason on a QB, but the rest of the team will already be built.

If the QB that you want gets drafted by another team, then you draft a player that you know will be a winner. If you draft a QB just to draft a QB then you are hoping.
