- So more news has surfaced surrounding Snow Whites Rachel Zegler, this time it being that another movie Rachel Zegler was cast in has been dropped and this one by Apple TV. However it has been picked up by Netflix but many have assumed the reason it was dropped is because of all the controversy around Rachel Zegler, due to the upcoming Disney Snow White live action remake. This also comes 3 weeks after Rachel Zegler was dropped from paddington3, so she really is struggling to get hired in Hollywood right now.

I know people have said it before, but she literally slandered her own co-star. Saying that all of his scenes could get cut, acting as if it wouldn’t even matter. That is disgusting behavior - not even having to do with her hatred for Snow White. I don’t blame people for not wanting to work with her if she talks about her colleagues like that. Thinking she’s so high up when she’s really just in the mud.

She describes the character of Prince Charming as “a stalker”, and just complains about how much the original Snow White sucks and how she’s coming in to save it lol. If the original Snow White is so bad, 1) Why the hell would you want to play the role of Snow White? 2) If it’s so outdated and sexist then why is Snow White still so iconic after all these years, and how is it so popular Disney are doing a remake for cash? 3) Why she think anyone would be excited to watch her portrayal of Snow White when she’s made it clear she doesn’t even care about the original story and her and the crews main focus is plugging as many virtue signalling points as possible to tick boxes. You can make Snow White a warrior princess without making her renounce true love and be this bad ass feminist chick who “doesn’t need a man to save her” ugh. The show “Once Upon a Time” does quite a good modern take on Snow White and is way better than what Rachel and the crew clearly have in mind.

If a movie production was driven by politics, then by definition it can't be good. Movie is a storytelling medium first and foremost, and when something else takes precedence over the story, it'll never be anything but a disaster.

I think we may see the end of Arc movies we may still see sequels but every movie is going to have to stand alone. Take Captain America it stood alone it was a a satisfying story it had a beginning a middle and an end and if they hadn't made another movie it could of stood on it's own. Exploring how did she cope, how did she maintain her innocence, how did she maintain her kindness. Exploring that would explain the direction the original movie went by making Snow White’s happily ever after be, having a real family(the dwarves, the prince, the animals even)

It wouldn't surprise me if AOZ's parents did nothing but dote on her, tell her how wonderful she is, never gave her any consequences for bad behavior, and never told her what she needed to hear. She's a slightly more talented version of the many idiots who went on "American Idol" thinking they were great, that they could behave however they wanted, and clearly never had any honest family and friends who told them "Hey, you're not that good."

We all had too much faith in Rachel Zegler's acting ability after the remake of West Side Story. Thankfully, enough time has passed during the Screen Actors Guild of America strike for Paddington 3 to fire her post haste.
If this is true, then I from one that I’m thrilled she deserves not to get hired, and I hope this trend continues, and I hope that when the prequel to the hunger games, fails and snow, not white fails, which they inevitably will things just get worse for Rachel. She deserves all of this because she brought all of it on herself. oh, and I’m going to reiterate, she definitely deserves to be fired. I didn’t mean to say that she didn’t. That was a dictation mistake, but she definitely does deserves to be fired.

What surprises me is that there is so much more hate focused on Rachel vs. the lack of dwarves and no prince love story. To me the priority is lack of a love story, removing the prince and then miscasting of Snow White.
right, but she's the one shouting about those things being gone as a good thing, that's why she's the target, she's practically calling out to be the aim of everyone's ire.
Somebody commented that the love story wasn't the plot or the goal of the 1937 movie but, rather, the reward for the kindness, perseverance and courage of Snow White and the dwarves - in other words, something that they deserved for being good people. Looking at it that way, it shows how the new movie's rejection of love as nothing but a distraction from Rachel Zegler's Snow White's quest for power is pretty pathological.

Exactly, this really ISN'T about Rachel at all, she's just some young actress who was badly managed and said a few dumb things. The fate of Disney and their property, and the creative direction they've chosen to take is 100% DISNEY'S responsibility and has nothing to do with the kid they employed to dress up as Snow White.

Disney is in the firing line too, and Rachel was always going to be due to her main character status, but her attitude has made her far more of a target than she should have been. You'll notice Gal hasn't really been in the firing line because she was smart enough to read the room and largely keep her mouth shut when it was obvious it was all going south. Rachel on the other hand has been doubling down. She also comes across as really obnoxious in the way she voices those opinions and throws other cast members under the bus and thinks its funny. (Like that super funny time where she hoped the prince would get cut out of her film because "that's hollywood baby".) She's so unlikeable no one wants to watch her, much the way Amber has been pushed out of projects because of her percieved poor character. She's also been actively sabotaging her own film by adding fuel to the fire continuously about how terrible the old movie was and how much better hers is. Why would any studio want to hire her at the moment? She's poison to any film she stars in unless her rep improves and the studio who hires her can reign in her poor attitude.
Zegler saying her male co-star's scenes might get cut off completely because "it's Hollywood, baby" and now studios cutting her off because yes, indeed, it is Hollywood baby, is the epitome of karma (plus all the other ridiculous stuff she's said, but that phrase in particular)

All she had to do was shut up and let people complain. The Snow White role, however miscast and unfitting, would have opened a few doors for her. But then she had to go disparage it in public. And it's not just any role or any movie--it's SNOW WHITE. The first Disney princess movie. The movie that made Disney what it is. The crown jewel of the empire. And she blew it. Said it was crap. Called the prince a weirdo. And threw shade at Snow White's humble dream of finding true love--as if it was an issue. That her version with all the genderqueer stuff and the certified girlboss moments is going to be superior for precisely those elements.
