Yah there was some MAJOR plumbing work done in the middle of this video, soooo simple. If you rework all those pipes, this is not a conversion kit or an easy install.
Hello Bigrignohio. As you noticed in the video, the shower wall in this example was a shower surround. Installing this product through a tiled wall does change the tools required and can result in tiles needing to be replaced.

Yes but i want to keep my old 1200 cartridge and valve. I want to replace everything from the shower wall outward, not anything inside the wall. And I want a nice modern handle, not another stupid round plastic ugly knob. Is this even possible?

Chateau tub/shower-- TL2369EP trim only or L2369EP includes Posi-Temp valve Eva shower only--T2138 or T2138EP both are trim only Eva tub/shower--T2139 or T2139EP both are trim only Brantford tub/shower--T2157EP trim only The plate only is part number 178755.

The benefits of using the Moen Chateau Posi-Temp remodel kit include not having to tear down shower walls or open up the wall behind the shower to make the change.

Looks like you need to do some welding and purchase additional copper pipes that I'm sure would not be included in the kit.

Is the valve attached to any kind of wood for support or is it just held up by the pipes?
Hello Chuck. We typically recommend bracing to a wood backing or something to keep the valve secure in the wall.
