I find Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye is a pretty good sipper. Gooderham & Worts Canadian Whisky is also a worth a try.

Yes! It took until I was about halfway through a bottle of Northern Harvest to appreciate it, but Gooderham and Worts Four Grain is an especially great bottle for the price! I haven't tried the Three Grain or Eleven Grain yet, because I'm not made of money... heh maybe some day I'll give them a chance. Thanks for watching!

I feel for you Alain. I also suffer from liking Scotches and Bourbons much more than a Canadian Rye. Maybe it is too polite. I can't say I remember ever drinking a Rye straight and enjoying it. Great with a cola or gingerale though.

Yeah man, the Canadian stuff usually isn't any good for less than $50. I would (obviously) recommend this bottle though

Very interesting. Canadian whiskeys have always been, in my opinion, good for mixing, not so much for drinking straight -with the exception of Crown, which I do like straight, but can’t stand when mixed.
At $32 I’d have a really hard time picking this one up to sip straight when Bulleit is selling for $29 at the corner store.... The real question is - will I?
Hmmm. Worth giving it a shot at the price. I would, like you, have low expectations about it beating the Bulleit at that price point tho. Maybe I’ll do a side by side and check it out.
Great video, looking forward to more. Cheers

Thanks for your comment! Yeah, the Canadian whiskies tend to lend themselves more for mixes than straight sippin', but if you ever wanna venture off the Bourbon trail and try a bottle of Canadian that both mixes and sips well, I'd say to give this boottle a go if you can find it! Would love to know your thoughts if you do.

Nice review. I bought this last year and liked it but set it aside after a few pours. Now I’m getting ready to revisit it let’s see if some time made it even better 🤞. Cheers 🥃

I find that sometimes a bit of time in the bottle does a whisky some good. I just revisited my Northern Harvest Rye that was about halfway full and it had definitely improved!
Hopefully your Triple Barrel Rye is even better than you remembered! Thanks for watching. Cheers!
