Bolt your box down, & get an alarm. It really sucks when your tools get stolen. I had a brick & mortar Porsche shop in Glendale, California. The shop was burglarized three times, the last time someone pulled up with an 18 wheeler on a Sunday afternoon and cleaned out my shop. I had 7 guys working for me. After that I bought a used E350 Ford Van, put tools, welding equipment… I restored Porsche & Mercedes Benz cars from San Diego to Santa Barbara. My van was broken into several times. They got random tools to entire tool boxes full of stuff. My boxes were bolted in, but they used my pry bars & cutting equipment to take my tools. They got all my snap on electronic test equipment.
I had a German Shepherd in the back parking lot of my shop, & my shop was alarmed. Definitely the people that cleaned out my shop were pros. I never recovered any of my things.
At least bolt your box down, & get an alarm. It will keep honest people honest. The pros will just take your entire truck. Go make some money.

Pro tip on mounting the tool box you can take the drawers out and mount through the bottom of the box, all you will need then is screws or bolts. Keep an eye out at your auto parts stores for lone a tool sales I got a $80 clutch fan service kit for $18 because they now stock an updated version.

Those Hyper Tough pry bars with the striking caps sold at Wal-Mart are made by Wilde Tools & are made in the USA. The same pry bars are also rebranded for Craftsman & Menard's Master Force brand. I have the Craftsman one & have been very happy with them except that they do rust easy if they get wet.
Even though that tool box is too heavy to lift it wouldn't stop the thieves in my neighborhood from attempting to steal it.

Please Put a cheap motion alarm on that truck or a hidden kill switch is pretty effective Thieves can’t lift the tool box but it’s. Ford ranger. 60 secs and the hole truck is gone. Had a service truck stolen out of Memphis years back. That was my thoughts they can’t get into this with out makeing noise. Yup. So took the hole truck. Was gone in 5 mins. Got the truck back 5 days later stripped all tools gone prybared all boxes open except the air compressor and torches was to heavy for them I guess save yourself that sick feeling.....

What I meant when I said won't your tools get wet, wasn't a comment on your stupid but more about how do you keep that from happening. Had no idea it never really rains there. That's hard for me to imagine. IN the last two months I bet we have gotten 15 to 20 inches of rain. Our normal year we average 54"/ year but the last year or two I think we have done slightly better than that. I have rusty tools just from breif periods of rain or being on the carport concrete and rain blowing in on them or running across the ground. The wild temperature swings where everything metal or concrete gets wet from condensation.
