From producer M. Night Shyamalan comes “The Watchers,” written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan and based on the novel by A.M. Shine. The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.
You can’t see them, but they see everything.
“The Watchers” stars Dakota Fanning (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” “Ocean’s Eight”), Georgina Campbell (“Barbarian,” “Suspicion”), Oliver Finnegan (“Creeped Out,” “Outlander”) and Olwen Fouere (“The Northman,” “The Tourist”). The film is produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan and Nimitt Mankad. The executive producers are Jo Homewood and Stephen Dembitzer.
Joining writer/director Shyamalan behind-the-camera are director of photography Eli Arenson (“Lamb,” “Hospitality”), production designer Ferdia Murphy (“Lola,” “Finding You”), editor Job ter Burg (“Benedetta,” “Elle”) and costume design by Frank Gallacher (“Sebastian,” “Aftersun”). The music is by Abel Korzeniowski (“Till,” “The Nun”).

Growing up watching Dakota, I am happy she's back in the big screen.
she's actually been around as of lately too, with the equalizer, alienist, ripley, and that series where she's the daughter of oen of the presidents of the us with michelle pfeifer. I'm probably missing a few but most of her most recent material is really good.
Not sure she ever left. But love her.
Yeah she was in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood as well, from a little know director, that was put out a few years back.

Been sooo excited to see this every since reading The Watchers novel by A.M Shine. One of my favourite modern horrors. This just already looks so much like the book seemed, and the casting looks like it will be great. Though I imagined the shelter quite differently.

The trailer wasn’t good
in the novel i remember a theory saying it's one single entity with many eyes, it's like an eldritch horror. The most horrifying part is if it's looked at, the victim becomes immortal and teleported in its personal torture chamber, residing there forever, a fate worse than death.

This premise is wonderfully timed with the rise of new social media which is less about traditional friendships and more about being a performer or broadcaster.

I literally just read this book last month! The book was amazing and the writing was so detailed and vividly terrifying. Highly recommend. I’m so excited they are making this into a movie!

Thank god for M. Night Shyamalan. His movies are always one of a kind, interesting and supernaturally mysterious. Movies that keep you on the edge from start to end. Movies that keep you thinking about even after they are over. The kind of movies that I love the most. This one is written and directed by his daughter. So, I’m glad to see his own offspring have his peculiar trademarks to continue his legacy.

Whoever made this trailer knows what they’re doing made me wanna watch it so much more, I was skeptical on watching the trailer, my birthday is 10 days after the release date, me and my girl are definitely gonna go to the theater for this one.
Dakota should have been nominated at least 6 times for an Oscar as a child actor by now. She’s been snubbed over for way too long IMO.

Shyamalan has broken my trust so many times, i always went back and gave him another chance because he promised me things but never came through. Now i finally moved on and he hits me with this teaser, this equivalent of a text saying he changed and he likes to try again. Should i give him another chance or ignore him forever?

See a lot of people excited because they like Dakota Fanning's skills, but... you did see the name of the producer, right? A good actor can only do so much to save a bad film, and knowing Shyamalan, the Watchers are probably going to turn out to be something relly dumb that's portrayed as if it's impossibly profound and meaningful.
