That shop did an excellent job on that Ferrari. I'd say they added a pretty substantial amount to its resale value. $2,000 well spent.
You're a bot magnet, buddy.
I'm with these other guys. Only for fans over 18 years old indeed.
It was $2k to do that work? That’s not bad at all. I must have missed him say the price.
@@DoWorkExotics 2000 for hoovie nice ad for the business they done a savage job
@@lilBabyBornInCalifornia he’s talking about the bill from vango, the detail/respray shop.
Wow that F355 looks great. Hopefully that wheel cap shows up mysteriously in a day or two.
2,000$ seems like a bargain for what they did
@@ironmonkey1512 to get better service It probably helps to be a famous youtuber. it's probably worth it to the detailers to get Hoovie coming back for more.
@@ironmonkey1512 might have been a give a good deal and do a spectacular job to secure more work moving forward. He likely knows who Hoovie is and probably got recommendation to go there in first place. Guy may have not made a ton on that job but securing future work is more important for growing a business. Not to mention the publicity from Hoovie using them and talking about their good work.
He can just cover it up with Hoovies garage stickers.
Fancy seeing you here
I was going to say that banana yellow is brash and tacky, but, #355life.
You should create a “missing” flyer for the lost wheel cap. Make it look like a Milk Carton.
Wow, that paint shop smashed it out of the park! Maximum kudos to a very talented team.
Everyone in Kansas are currently searching vigorously on the sides of every road for a Bentley Wheel Cap to sell Hoovie for $1500 🤣
Hoovie can trade it for that BMW he can’t seem to sell.
The attention to detail and going above and beyond, even for a 2k contract, really shows why these folks are successful - so many shops just don't care about going that extra mile.
Ya I was thinking 2k was cheap to do all that
Tyler is an advertising platform for the shop so he got more than what he paid for for the exposure. Doubt you could walk in with your Ferrari and get the same work for the same price. Tyler gets a discount with the car wizard as well.
Totally agree
@@oldanslo I bet you're right. No way that Ferrari paint and detail was only 2k. Not a chance.
@@oldanslo paint work is not as expensive as you think as long as you’re not painting an entire car and filling 100 dings. A good shop like this could get that work knocked out in a couple days which is probably what happened.
you truly have found a group of amazing guys around u to help restore these wonderful cars, amazing work done on that 355, can't wait to see how the Bentley will come out
the yellow came out great, I wish they had painted that one panel that had been painted before so it matched the new work all along the bottom. You have 3 minor shade differences now and it could have just been 2. Would have been worth a few hundred to repaint it also. Other than that, well spent $2000. Put some black fabric tape on that top split to get you by till you replace the top.
They might not have noticed until it was all ba k together and detailed at which point they had probably already called Tyler to come get it later that day.
that's where the art of blending paint into the adjacent panels comes in. It usually needs to be done "on-car" thought, for more $$$
In the lighting of the Wizard's shop, you cannot tell that anything was repainted. Vango must use super-intense lights so it appeared to match worse than in natural light. Just shows what letting professionals work on your car can do!
That's pretty common, at least in my experience in the detail biz over the years. A good detail/paint shop will have intense lighting, which of course is needed for the work they do. So even minor differences tend to stand out more. But under natural sun (or most garage lighting) you'd never see it.
it's not the intense lighting, it's the high CRI lights that do the trick, i bet that wizard's light don't even have CRI ratings while the detail shop's lights are about 90 or 95 CRI
It was the opposite side you seen between shops. It looked that it was only different on the one side.
Fluorescent lights show a lot of odd color variations. LED (if the Wizards shop has them) doesn’t show it much.
Its not about light at all 😂 notice how right side is „little” off and in wizards shop you can see only left one😆
Cant believe they left it like that, that back panel is so little, that they could paint it too
Love the way Tyler supports the different types of car businesses in his area 🙌 👏 👌
@Yippee Skippy he probably wanted to have it done well, not just done
czcams.com/video/tT9DXJtwcOw/video.html.
@Yippee Skippy
I think he would use them for a full paint job. But this car was a detail with minor paint repair.
@Yippee Skippy he wanted quality work not a hack respray
@Yippee Skippy well why didn't he go back?
I liked how you could tell the people at vango loved the cars you brought in, you can tell that they did a great job on your car
I feel like the channel is in such a good place right now. Thanks Hoovie❤️
I can't 3d print a new hubcap, but I can make a poor facsimile with a sour cream dish and tinfoil.
I will keep that in mind
Yeah I 3D Printed wheel caps.. "official" dodge caps were $120 for a set of 4, being the "faux" stainless look. Measured, Designed and printed. On my second set, being there so simple to change and make.
@@HooviesGarage Just remove/hooptie the other 3, that way, at least they all match! :)
A silver mailbox letter (B) from hardware store would set this new center cap off. Hoopty mods 😎
I'd retrace my steps again for that wheelcap Hoovie, definitely worth trying to find it over buying a new one
In a taller vehicle maybe
unfortunately even if he retraced it, it clearly broke off from age, so it likely shattered into a million pieces. you can see where the brittle plastic came apart on the bolts that held the cap on in the first place.
That center cap is now on some dudes garage wall, with a story of how it used to be on Jean Claudes Bentley. Soon to be on eBay with his signature for $2k... and Hoovie bidding to get it back.

@@petequinones3454 I doubt it, plastic center caps explode the second they fall off, and thats ignoring if anyone else runs them over afterwards.
I love how the video was layer out how you watched the cars progress start to finish and how well it came out
I was rooting for you so hard to find that wheel cap, Hoovie. Would've been a big W but alas, it delivered the comedy gold in the sentence "Stuff just falls off your Bentley."
I personally hate detail work (doing it) - I just don't have the patience for it. But man, few things are as satisfying as seeing a car after it's been done by a professional like that. Wow!
It's not bad. I did it at a car dealer for 3 years. Just listen to music all day and got to drive all kinds of cool cars
Same here. I would not be able to do that work even for a hefty pay. I am simply not capable
I find it relaxing. And the extra drugs you find help the shift go by.

I started my journey looking up gen1 viper videos and hoovie had bought his. 3 or so years later I finally bought one! I’m happy to support hoov, the wiz, VINwiki, and occasionally tavarish.
That shop did an excellent job. It's hard to find people that do good work.
I think you found a new shop for your detailing. Looks like they do excellent work! Worth every penny!
Props to VANGO, that workmanship and quality control is UNBELIEVABLE. I’m speechless. If I lived in the area I’d use them in a heartbeat.
Just got one question for you Mr. Tyler Hoovie. When will there be an update on the million mile Cummins? I’d love to see the odometer roll over to 1,000,000 miles!
Wow here too. The F355 came out just amazing. Looks like that shop is a keeper.
first video in some time that I really like, good job, the body repair guy looks like a really cool guy
That detail shop is seriously impressive. It's hard to find that quality of work around these days.
I love the Wizard, watch his own channel stuff often. seems like an awesome dude to hang with
Great detailing job on the Ferrari 👍🏻
I think if you make a Facebook post that shows te exact route you drove with the Bentley and with a big findersfee, there will be al lot of people looking for that center cap.
Damn!! You better tag that shop!! Freaking amazing work!!
Definitely not Macco. Fantastic paint job. They wanted to impress and they did. Wow!
They definitely take pride in their work. You can tell when someone cares.
They can appreciate a nice car and they want to see it look it's best.
Holy cow the wizard lost a lot of weights looks good. Hope all is well
Less gray in his beard too, probably just taking better care of himself. Good for him

I love watching bill time at the Wizard's is so fun. Especially funny when Tyler passes out! :-)
Vango, did a great job, of not only repainting it, but the detail they did was over the top. You need to get the top fixed ASAP, to complete the look. She is now beautiful Ferrari... You saved another one...
That hubcap reminds me of the bezel that I lost off my car after hitting a retread on the interstate. I was pissed that it cost $150 for a replacement. I would be walking down the highway looking for that hubcap!
So would I how to do the same thing for a key I lost and I found it 8 hours later
Retread ties absolutely should be illegal. There are ridiculously dangerous. I don't know about ya"ll but id rather pay a few cents more for my goods.
I had a splitter broken off from hitting one that got thrown up by the car in front of me Impossible to avoid, but I managed to limit the damage to one corner.
Stuart and his crew did an amazing job. Looks great
WOW - what an awesome job done on the F355. It's simply gorgeous inside and out.
Great work on that detail job. Complete transformation. I've definitely been there with the wheel cap situation.
Beautiful car now!!!!
Your detail / paint shop is really top notch. They did a great job!
Thanks for the wheel cap Hoovie. I'm a big Jean Claude fan. Nice keepsake.
A great Video this week, loved it! Replacement soft top?
On the yellow, the bottom looks a few shades lighter on camera. Am i seeing things? Looks great at most angles. The detail work transformed this car. A color matched hardtop would make it absolutely perfect.
@@technom3598 I've seen fiberglass and carbon fiber hardtops for F355... there's several companies that supply them unpainted since early 2000's.
The paint is definitely off. But the guy said that the panel behind it has been repainted before. Tough to match everything.
I saw it too. Yellow is very hard to match and for $2000 it looks great but it definitely looks lighter
It doesn't match 100%, but the lighting in paint/detail shops tend to be way over the top and will highlight any slight variance in color. In the wizard's shop, it all looks perfect.
@@phantom240 because right side if fckd up and he showed left in wizards shop 🙄
Kind of looks like the cap was stolen or "forcefully" removed. The plastic around the securing bolt looks that way. Stinks for you but I did buy 3 shirts so hopefully that will help with the bill to replace the center cap... 🤣
@imoes. sexyy Reported for spam!
Yeah, it was probably partially cracked from being overtightened, or someone attempting to pry it off for a tire service before realizing it was secured with a screw.
I see those broken on aftermarket wheels for those reasons all the time.

Wizards smile when Tyler pulls in. $$$$. New fancy safety shoes.
In 1997, I was walking the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, stopped, looked around, then down towards the highway, and on a ledge about 10 or 12 feet down, I saw a Rolls Royce hubcap, the kind Silver Shadow IIs used. I found that odd. Now the search for a Bentley center cap in Kansas.
That detailing job is AMAZING! 👏🏻
Holy smokes, that body shop did a terrific job on the 355. I wish I could find a solid shop like that in Los Angeles.
Wiz: "It tastes like bananas!".
At that point, after all the mechanic fluids Wizard has taste tested over the years, I couldn't figure if he was trying to punk Hoovy or not either.
That was his plan all along xD
Looks like new. Great work by all parties involved! :)
The favorite part of the Ferrari 348 is those bus seats, as a daily commuter in a big city on the transit the patterns give me such a nostalgic feeling every time I see the seats.
First detail job where it looked like the guy did some legitimate work. Looks incredible.
Lol.. "I'll fuel up my yacht!", you gonna buy that guy a pizza? "Eh, maybe." lol.

The Ferrari looks beautiful. Pity about the soft top. I'd stick a patch on the underside and try to disguise and dye the outside. I am a cheap patcher upper though.
Meh, it is a convertible. The only time to use the top is if it is raining...and who drives their Ferrari in the rain?
Respect to the cheap patcher mentality! Drive it and love it!
Flex tape
99% of the time I'd agree with you. However, if you can't afford to properly fix a Ferrari... then you can't afford a Ferrari. These cars are not for people who take short-cuts or are looking to save money.

OFF TOPIC-
I saw you only for a second as I was surfing the TV and there you were at Barrete Jackson's. You really are the best the organization has.: Smmmmmoth, natural - not stiff or awkward and very knowledgable on all the cars. I got to see your a longer period of time at another B/J and you just are so perfect for this job. You definitely weren't around for the late 70s/early 80s. Home mortgages were 16%
@@TheFloridaStig Yeah but a home was $40k and people made more on average than they do now.
@@7477238 That's funny. It seemed like a real struggle at the time. BECAUSE IT WAS!
@@kendallsmith1458 For some it may have been. Where I live, house prices have gone up over 300% in 20 years and cost of living too has gone up. Average wages? Not so much and even though I have a sizeable down payment for a house I'd be saddled with an expensive mortgage. The funny bit? The money I have for a down payment would have bought the same house for cash 20 years ago and several of them in the 1970s yet it doesn't cut the mustard today.
The before and after of the yellow Ferrari is so nice, your new shop did a great job!
Them boys did work. That's a solid find for a paint and body man.
Great video. Thanks for making me laugh today. I have luck like yours. Losing parts of a car.
Wow, that is a nice 'detail'. Damn Tyler, they did a great job and now the amount of business they will get from it...he should have given you a giant discount. You have gotten really lucky with the car in many ways. It cost 13k to fix, but that was better than it getting destroyed.
2k for the amount of work they did is already discounted
😬
@@PedroWeissach Agreed. As a detailer, who doesn't do such extensive body-shop work or repainting, there is no way that $2000 isn't a discounted price. People often vastly underestimate the work and cost of a good detail, and these guys were pulling panels, doing body work, and painting on top of all that. Oh, and I see that these guys are Ceramic Pro shills, so now I *know* they gave a discount to Tyler because I guarantee they're regularly charging people ~$2000 for just a ceramic coating job worth half that.
@@phasmata3813 if I had to guess, on a Ferrari, that is normally over $10,000 worth of work, and most likely far over it. Like I said in another comment, it was a smart business move to heavily discount to earn Hoovies future business of his every revolving fleet as well as earn business off the CZcams plug

Boy howdy! What a video… Quick suggestion, maybe you can put up a reward on some Facebook pages in your area for that wheel cap? Might not lead to anything but always worth a try. Ferrari is looking like a wet dream though.
I like it Tyler, much better now that automatic system is gone.
So much care is required for those soft tops, special soaps that don't have harsh detergents in them.
When those soft tops are down the material is folded under pressure, even worse with the cover/boot over it; then factor the heat cycling on it also...they just crack.
3D printing the hub cap is the easier part, it would be harder to finish it to match the wheel
What a deal on that service! Car Wizard steals money from Ferrari again. Nicely done VanGo!!
Incredible job on the 355!! Really hope the guy gets more business from this. Wow love Giallo Ferrari soooooo much. Miss my Giallo 360

As an ex modern Ferrari owner, I can call your repair bill "cute", even "dainty". I am done with Ferrari not just because of the repair costs but because during 6 years of ownership I think my cars spent an aggregate 2-3 years in the shop WAITING on parts.
I had 20 years of Ferrari experience and spent enough to buy another house. Done with F cars and moved on to Porsche
🤣
Your 348 is like the SR-71 Blackbird: sealed while warm and moving, but when it cools, seams open and fluid leaks. At least you're not leaking *fuel* the way the SR-71 did. (Lockheed had to develop a special fuel that *didn't* catch fire easily to avoid disasters.)
I don’t think too many people here have experience using a sr-71 black bird do.
For anyone reading this, I highly recommend googling the SR-71 story on reddit. Absolutely legendary.

Tell the wizard that if his back starts hurting in the next few weeks it's probably the shoes. I've seen it happen too many times with these memory foam type shoes. Feel soft on your feet but throws your alignment off. Starts with your knees and hips which you probably don't notice but those things can lead to back pain and you WILL notice that.
I am happy to see you showing the cost of exotic ownership. Too many people buy a Lotus then complain about the costs of repairs and maintenance which are less than Ferrari, Bently...
There is more car licking on this channel than any other by several orders of magnitude.
You should learn to double clutch. It's pretty satisfying and invaluable when you've got hurt synchronizers.
Unfortunately not all transmissions are tolerant of floating gears especially older ones
@@2ndGenBen Floating is skipping the second clutch disengagement. I wouldn't do it on any transmission that doesn't weigh at least a 1000lbs... and even then most companies don't want you floating their trucks. Double clutching used to be required before synchromesh transmissions came out: so most cars before 1960. There's no reason you can't do with a synchronized transmission though, it's just less work for the synchronizers. Drivers were often asked to double clutch in endurance racing. It's not faster, it's just less wear. If you keep revs matched (near enough) before you select the next gear, worst case scenario is essentially the same wear you would have had for the shift without. Get it right and it's impossibly low shifter effort and zero synchro wear. It's guilt free downshifting, and really noticeable at higher rpms in lower gears where rpm change is greater and the synchros have to work harder to accelerate the clutch plate, inputshaft, and countershaft.
I got an 04 Lincoln LS V8 Sport Package with your name on it. In STL for sale. Great car but got an 07 Arnage T, 07 XK convertible, 05 C55 AMG, and 02 C32 AMG, and the LS is the odd car out. It’s in fantastic shape

The mismatched paint on the Ferrari (not the shop's fault) would drive me insane. I would just have the entire car painted so it all matches correctly.
You don’t even need to paint the whole car, just blend the immediate surrounding areas.
I expect the camera lighting makes it look much worse than in real life. It is WAY off on camera. Like, I'd be embarrassed of my work type of off.
yep, just knowing it's not correct after all that money spent, I'd have to pay to get it done I'm afraid.
Really hope it's the camera that makes the yellow look so off. That's bad bad
