This style of music puts the soul at ease. No matter who's playing, they put on a show with just the sound each person, or group, produces. Let your ears carry your soul to another plane of existence and flow on the river of sound. The shamisen has truly become something special to listen to this season.
I've never really listened to it before this show, but I really enjoy the instrument.

i dunno what it is but the moment at 0:21 gives me chills. almost brings a tear to my eyes and i don't even know why. the notes don't even feel sad or anything.
I liked both performances this week, and I don't mind waiting one more for Setsu and the gang to play. I can already feel the goosebumps.

For a second there I thought she was playing Megalovania.
In the show they were talking about how it sounded "grating to the ears" or something, probably for just being non-traditional in style in my opinion. I actually prefer this to what most of the others were playing.

Around 1:30 you can actually tell that her sound was overpowering everyone else's
She was trying so hard to prove her worth that she completely missed out in being in the moment

0:07 Why is no one mentioning the skip there? It's really irritating, which also seems to make the whole scene asynchron (in the video, I remember it being correct in the episode).

Even if you don't hear the skip (which is very noticable to me since the music is the main point of the scene), you should at least be able to spot that the scene afterwards is asynchron. If you don't see it with the music and the movements, just look at the lip flaps during the dialogues.

She’s prob being too focused on Setsu. It seemed like her and her team were battling each other or trying to stop her dominance if anything. He may have heard/noticed it. To an untrained ear, it was prob fine. I played as an accompanist pianist for a girl singing once and was told by an experienced musician this very thing, gotta be careful

I don’t understand why there has to be so many distracting dialogues and monologues during a performance. When I first heard that, the only thing I wanted to hear was only the shamisen playing. I could close my eyes and enjoy the music of it. But I can’t. People talking over the music, and monologues steering across the performance kept distracting me, and I could not hold the immersion.
They should’ve done what kyoani did to their music works. Leave the music as playing music, and use commentary when the music has finished playing. It respects the music playing, and have people give their thoughts on it. Covering a performance with commentary on top is extreme dissatisfying and has been frustrating me non stop.
Overall I gave the anime a 4 out of 10. If only they let the music playing by itself.
