    Love your videos! Would you consider making a series for basic skincare first aid? Wound care that we should all know, what to do when we get a cut, or burn our fingers cooking, bruise ourselves. Of course (hopefully), most people will assess themselves and seek medical attention if needed, but in the meantime or during recovery, would love a video for helping with these smaller everyday traumas to the skin!

      If you used Purity Made Simple Cleanser by Philosophy, you wouldn’t need to use an oil cleanser at all. That cleanser removes waterproof makeup, even mascara. You only need about a dime size of it. It foams up & cleans really well. No double cleanse needed. It also comes in smaller bottles for people to try.

      @@NatalieG427I use Purity and have almost for 20 years. I am a product junky but I have never used anything else but Purity. I know it’s not for everyone but I love it. It does take all the make up off. I will still sometimes double cleanse with it. Depending on how heavy my makeup is. First to take off the makeup and second to cleanse. I do not have dry skin, especially since using Gold Bond Nighttime Retinol after cleansing. So far it’s worked for this nearly 60 year old skin.

    the kose speedy or regular oil cleanser and the shiseido perfect whip face wash have been my go-to combo for so many years. whether i'm just wearing sunscreen or a full face of makeup, the combo always gets rid of everything without any residue. I've tried micellar water and cleansing balms, but nothing compares to oil cleansers when it comes to cost and ease of use. I've been doing a double cleanse for many years. I wouldn't cleanse my skin any other way. Before I first discovered it and was only doing a single cleanse, there would be traces of makeup on my towel so I know I wasn't getting my skin completely clean. I've tried many oils and balms over the years but really like Inkey List, Elf and Albolene. There are a couple that you've recommended today that I'd like to try. Thanks, as always, for all you do. Happy Tuesday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a tranquil evening. ❤

    I like to come home from work, put my E.l.f. cleansing balm on, and just let it sit for a while while I do dishes or whatever. Then I rinse it off/do 2nd cleanse and start my skincare. I just love the way it feels, and it has nice ingredients. I don't know if I am helping or hurting anything by doing that since the sunscreen and makeup are also still on my face while the balm sits.

    I am using micellar water followed by cleanser (both very gentle and fragrance free) and my face is super clean after. I wear make up almost every day and my sunscreen is not water resistant. My skin is sensitive, prone to break out very fast if there are oils (most of them), essential oils, any ingredient that contains in the name: olivate, oleate, mystrate, isostearate and other few. I discovered this after about an year of trial and error in order to build a skincare routine. Was even harder to find a sunscreen suitable for my “special” skin. So is good that the rest of the world can use a cleansing oil/balm and I’m happy that some brands sell micellar water and it’s all for me. 😁
    Every time I hear or read “room temperature” I’m wondering what this means. I saw reviews about beauty fridges and people said that is not necessary because you can keep all skincare and/or some medicine at room temperature. I live in Australia in a two storey house where summer can be very hot (48 degrees celsius) and even indoor temperature is quite high. I have AC but I also have a job and I use AC in the evening when I come back from work and in weekends I go out. So during the summer and even spring (now is spring here and we had few days with 38 degrees celsius) most of the time “room temperature” is over 30 degrees celsius upstairs. But I’m sure if you live in Siberia room temperature should be fine and you don’t need a beauty fridge. 🙂

    Double cleansing has made the biggest difference to the health of my skin. Makes so much sense…oil (attracts and) removes oil. I’ve heard it’s a good idea to massage the oil/balm for a minute or more. Thoughts?

    • @ToyCircle
      @ToyCircle Před 7 měsíci +2

      It's definitely a good idea because the oil cleanser doesn't really strip the skin. I oil cleanse every day at night. And I can promise you I go way past a minute, heck, it's more like 10 or 15 minutes bcs I just get carried away, relaxed and love it when those nasty oil plugs come out of my skin 😂. Just make sure you're properly emulsifying that cleansing oil and washing in off, then use a good, non stripping water based cleanser next.

They never leave my skin dry or stripped, I even use them in the morning - currently the Shiseido Aqualabel Deep Clear Cleansing Oil, but I also love the one from Cow Brand (stupid name, great cleansing oil) and the Muji Mild Cleansing Oil. I'm also using the cose pink package oil cleaner haven't made up my mind on it, I think I prefer the superficialist one that was my go-to before I didn't seem to use as much at a time then currently with the cose , I've got the Hada Labo oil cleaner to try next I did try the Hamish balm which I found a perfect substitute for the elemis that I used to use(before I started to break out more with the cleanser) but like the Cose i had to use more product then I was with pervious cleansers.

      For me-Bioderma or Simple Micellar water, then Neutrogena ultra gentle cleanser or Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser (whichever is cheapest at the drugstore). It’s been years since I tried another cleanser. I’ve been curious about an oil cleanser, esp in the winter. The only one I tried years ago was dhc and it was not good for my skin.
