This is one of my favorite Bach compositions!!!!! As a former accordion (piano accordion) player, I am in awe at how he used the bass side of the instrument!!!! In my younger days, I played some classical music to get a better feel for 40s, 50s and 60s jazz/swing music: harmony & composition. In my musical group, we catered to the "Greatest Generation" and my favorite, eastern style polka music!!!!! Being Polish, this was rather easy for me. As for my jazz, I was a fan of the Pete Jolly school of accordion playing. I only wish there were Bach charts in the late 50s and into the 60s that were arranged for the accordion. Even back then, I loved the Master's music. But this, is absolutely amazing!!!!!
That looks like the most complex musical instrument ever contrived and I'm blown away by Sevastian's mastery of it. Well done. Though his eyes cannot see what his hands are doing, he turns his head to focus his brain upon the hand that is performing the most complex work.

RIP Maestro Sevastian. You were, still are and will always be the greatest legend to grace the stage with your personal charisma and virtuosic talent in the accordion world ❤

Very sad. Astonishing talent
Extraordinaire
Alexander Sevastian, 1976 - 2018 - (cause of death: cardiac arrest)
He was 43. So very sad.
Oh my. Nooooo
I didn’t even know you could get sound like this out of an accordion. Incredible performance!
I’ve only got one word for this gentleman’s talent. WOW! BRAVO 👏🏻
Magnificent performance, RIP Alexandre knowing your music lives on.
Oh man, he passed?
I am choked with emotion! Tears in my eyes, nose running... That was as close to perfection as you can get!
Thank you!
Me too
Absolutely beautiful. I'm crying that he is longer with us. Love to him and his family. ❤️
woah...YT algorithm really pulled its weight today. Bravo! Bravo!
This was the most fantastic rendition of this beloved piece of music ever. WOW, as a former music major I can say this with fervor.
It was 5:00 in the morning, and I happened to stumble upon this wonderful musician, listened to his priceless rendition, read through some of the comments and listened again to this captivating piece by this brilliant musician just for good measure, thank you CZcams, you've really out done yourself this time...
Me too 5:00 a.m. 😐😐
Same here.
Thank you CZcams algorithm, for making my day with this master piece!
Thats the most amazing thing ive ever seen musically. My mind is blown.
The accordion is such a bizarre instrument and yet it sounded like this was played on a full church organ. This was very impressive! Well done!
This young mans prowess with this instrument is mesmerizing! It’s one of my most favorite organ pieces. To see it played on an accordion totally makes me smile and gives me goose bumps at the same time! Outstanding performance is such an understatement! Bravo Bravo Bravo!!!!!
Music at its highest level
Alexander. YOU ROCK. I can't believe my ears OR my eyes. All done WITHOUT LOOKING???? WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! Lifted to a higher plain. Oh my God it's good;
Alexander, your music will live forever. I am so sorry to hear you left this world during a tour of Mexico in February 2018. The accordion world mourns. I just wish the general public would finally recognise the wonderful abilities of the truly amazing classical accordion. Paul
I would bet, it's humanly impossible to preform such complicated movements with our fingers; each hand independent of the other! I watch this and I still don't believe it.
Such was his genius!!
I've heard of his passing and this is such a loss to us all.
RIP
Alexander Sevastian ❤❤❤
Wow wow wow. How a human being can play with so much talent. Just notes, just rythm, just speed... Extreme beautiful lesson of life. You merit applause during one hour long.
Wow !
Astonishing, absolutely astonishing! This young man playing this Bach piece seemingly effortlessly! A miniature organ in his hands. Bravo, bravo!
He died at 42. He was 36 during this clip.
@@metallives529 I don't know if you are a God Loving man or not, But I. myself like to think we'll meet again over There, and he can thrill us all again with his masterful playing of his instrument.
@@mikeguthrie5432 I was just stating that 36 really isn't a young man. Unless you are like 70 or older. As for the god thing i'll take the 5th..
@@metallives529 Well Sir , age is a relative thing for some of us. I'm 81, and boy what I wouldn't give to feel like 36 again. But I understand your point
Brilliant. Never thought that it might even be possible to get the sound from the Toccata squeezed out of an accordion... I'm speechless.
Admirable musicality, to produce this interpretation for an organ piece in an accordion! Thank you sir, and thank the lord for Bach!
Wow! I love this particular piece from Bach. Of course, I had to click on this link and, seeing it was played on accordian, only made me click faster! Sasha made the accordian dream it was a powerful pipe organ!
...and then I discover he has passed, on the same day I discovered him. RIP, Sasha.
Never care for accordion music....but this is not polka, that is Bach and when you can play Bach on an accordion, you earn my respect. Congratulations to this young man.
I never thought I'd see anyone top 'Weird' Al's accordion rendition of "Classical Gas". Bravo! Masterfully performed! Rest in peace.
RESPECT! Standing Ovation.
I have just one word left OUTSTANDING
Sometimes YT surprises me. This is one of them...the dexterity of the musician in this video is amazing! Hours of practice went into the preparation of this performance. It's already a feat of mind over fingers and feet on an organ! This is awesome! To be played on a button accordion even more so. Loved every moment of this! The expression of dynamics was masterful!
Absolutely fabulous. Musical Complexity flawlessly executed by a true Maestro of his instrument. Bravo Alexander.
A previous commenter said this wonderful young man died at age 41. Sad!
Once I closed my eyes I found myself sitting in a cathedral listening to church organs (not accordion); perfecto. speechless, unbeatable!!!
Really, a master of that instrument! 10 years after being posted the mighty algorithms have seen it fit to grace me with this performance!
I think I just saw a person worthy of the name Musician. Also I never saw an accordion like that before, so to the designer(s) and maker(s), you built a whole pipe organ into a fire bellows, and this bloke learned to play it. You all must have minds like spiral staircases. I don't even have words for how stunned this video left me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
How was that even possible????? It takes enough effort with two hands and feet and even then I don't have to provide the wind, when playing!! Speechless with admiration!!
So so sad that such a talent is no longer with us, xx
MAGISTRAL interpretation!!!!!!
i didn't think the complex motion of the organ would translate so well to a free reed instrument, but the accordion has reminded me of its complexity with this guy. superb work!! RIP.
I ❤ his playing of this piece. He’s opened my eyes to the potential of the accordion. I’m blown away by this tbh. I gave me tingles down my spine and through my whole body. He’s a true musician, what a star ⭐️
I never realized how much the accordion sounds like an organ. Wow
His technique is genius and he plays with passion 👏.
Accordion to music lovers, this is the most well played Bach Toccata and Fugue in D minor ever!
Nice word play!
YOUNG LAD WITH SO MUCH...SO MUCH INCREDIBLE TALENT.

Ein Geschenk des Himmels; ganz wunderbar. Danke!
The accordion… not just for the polka any more!! I have saved this video. Amazing!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazingly brilliant musicianship! As an accordionist myself, as a 12 year old kid I got as far as grade 3 (on a 120 bass Horna) and I am in total awe watching this. I so appreciate the bellows control this guy has, not to mention the massive array of buttons that he is total master of! 😅 Just brilliant...
Could not have said it better!
I am seriously impressed! Who would have thought anyone could render such a fine performance of Bach on an accordion? Magnificent!
This is what you can achieve if you love what you are doing. A masterpiece played by a master.
Never been a lover of organ music but always appreciated the talent required play an organ and this piece specifically. On an accordion? I would have never even imagined it possible and this is absolutely incredible!
It’s the first time I can say I enjoyed an accordion play. Period
I was avoiding this video for a long time. Today, I watched through to the end. Wow!! Brilliant. Superb!
That looks like the most complex musical instrument ever contrived and I'm blown away by Sevastian's mastery of it. Well done.
Though his eyes cannot see what his hands are doing, he turns his head to focus his brain upon the hand that is performing the most complex work.
