This is how timelapses need to be. I know that it is much more involved for you, but for the watchers like me now we can hear what you are doing and understand why you are doing it. Great job with the new format!
100%
The time lapses are so much better with the accelerated sound and you talking through what your doing! Great job Kevin!
Agreed
For sure!
I came here to say the same thing! I can't think of anyone else who does this.
big fan of the talking time lapse
I also appreciate them keeping the camera closer to the car so we can actually see what they're working on. Get a magnetic mount for that camera Kevin, then you can stick it on to anything and get some really cool camera angles.
Travis' little headshake when you said hopefully this is the last time the trans goes in had me rolling 😂
The talking time-lapse is an excellent idea! I really loved it!
I really love the new voiceover during the time lapse, because now I know better on what you guys doing during the time lapse.. really good idea Kevin!
agreed!!
You should name that transmission jack, "Seal team 6."
100%
Happy birthday Kevin and Travis!! Also, the "talking time lapse" is absolutely amazing. I watch this channel for all the nerd knowledge and this format doubles the random information factor.
I'm a big fan of the timelapse voiceovers. It makes the content much more engaging. Nice job!
I really like the narration of the time lapse - please keep doing it! I really appreciate your
continuous improvement! Love your channel!
I agree, makes time lapse more enjoyable 👍
Agree 1000000000000000000000% better than the bad music
@@cliffjones1061 I like the music. When it's obvious what is happening in the timelapse, I'm still in favour of that backing track, it's just that Kevin's voice over explaining non-obvious stuff is far better...
@@fat_biker not much is obvious when at a faster speed, everyone is different and some are dumb like me, so splaining while it's happening is mo betta and ☝️
Ah "The Kevin Years"......reminiscing about Winny Cooper....
I dig the talking time lapse. For a guy like myself who isn't just watching to watch but hoping to pick up something useful for when I'm building my little POS street/strip truck I really appreciate it. Keep up the good work, you guys are awesome.
That POS could turn into something crazy over time 👌👌
@@zstrode.8953 I hope so. I have done a ton of work so far but a long long way to go. Hoping to eventually put on a turbo but I will see how it does N/A for awhile.
Don't talk yourself down, one man's POS project is just as interesting as any project.
As someone that watches these videos because my only knowledge is what I've absorbed mostly from Kevin, but also from Cleetus and his crew, I really appreciate explaining not just the What but the Why to understand what's going on more fully.
@@jameseastwood4984 I appreciate that. I'm building a little 88 dodge d150 short bed for street/strip. Just junk yard parts and what I can afford. I put together a 5.9 magnum with a few other parts. So far it is put together and running/driving but ran out of time to get to the track this year.
Kev, I’m visually impaired so it’s tough for me to follow Timelapse’s even with captions. Your voiceover is absolutely perfect for me and you did a fantastic job. Thank you!!
Holy fuck, this is amazing ❤️
The voiceover was a really nice touch. Makes the time-lapse so much better 👍🏻
Really enjoyed your voice over for the valve covers.
It’s great for having the video on while your doing chores bc you still know what’s happening.
I always enjoyed your time lapse but you taking us through your thought process, etc is much better than the background music!
The talk through time lapse are so much better than just watching hey uninformative video of somebody work good job!
250k Subs is a well deserved reward Kevin.
The racing on Cleetus channel has become far better than it used to be and it’s because of Kevin. He’s got that magic touch.
Yea, but sometimes its fun to watch the sketchy racing.
Slow your roll Tyler... mullet doesn't race itself! Let's go Kev !!!🦅🇺🇸🏁😎
@@Eagle44 Ik Ik but I feel like since Kevin works on them now there is less down time on the cars plus since cleetus and James don’t have to work on them as much they get to make other content we like to see
@@covertdestroyer there's more content?
@@Eagle44 not more other. Like the boat series, cops and robbers stuff like that. The channel only used to be about the cars and them working on the cars which don’t get me wrong was cool but the boat series was funny
I really like the talk over time lapse segments.
Your voice over the time-lapse section is great. Nice to hear you explaining things definitely adds more to your content.
The talking over the time lapse is really cool and answers some questions.
Kevin always improving things...the voiceover during time lapse is an outstanding use of video time. Thought we were getting great content before but you have expanded and increased the quality and added additional education value. Dude, never stop!
PS: when do we see the KSR Technical College T-Shirts?
PSS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Head over to Sonny's and treat yourself to some BBQ!
Man i like "The Kevin Years" voice over. Makes for great videos. When your guy found the loose dump line, he grabbed a wrench, shared his findings, and quickly fixed it. He didnt write it down or put it off. Ive been a mechanic 25 years and that is a trait that is hard to find. Good hustle EVERYONE at KSR!
Love the "talking time lapse". Happy birthday guys. "Baby seal" lol
The voice overs on the time lapse are great, so much easier to keep up with what's happening.
The baby seal killer had me in tears! I'd love to have Derek from vice grip garage review it 🤣
The timelapse voice overs/walk through/explanations are GREAT. I know its a lot more work for you, so dont expect to have to do it for every timelapse, but please if youre doing something intricate like this or a rear diff job or whatever, the voice over explanation is SO helpful, esepcially for people like myself who want to get more into custom fabrication/bigger jobs like this. Kevin is a BEAST
I appreciate the voice over during the time lapse parts.
Love the talking time lapse and your explanation of why you do the things you do!
10:17 that’s what she said
Great video Kev, and really appreciate the talking over the time lapses 👍👊🇺🇸🤘
Gratz on the 250k, you should be at 1 mil already considering the content you create.
husband says the talking time lapse was really great! wonderful new feature!!
the talking timelaps was really good. great idea.
+1 on voiceover sauce on the timelapses! That’s what I’m comin here for is the learning 😎👍
Also now I know Kevin deliberately speeds up the audio for the trans jack 🤣😂🤣😂 Would genuinely drive me nuts to have to deal with that noise!
Happy to sponsor a podcasting mic if you’re gonna do this more often!
Side note: Congrats on the new hire!
For people who want to weld on a catch can or gas tank I recommend what I saw my former boss, Gene Winfield did. He connected a tube from the exhaust pipe of a vehicle and then had the exhaust fumes flowing through the gas tank. He relocated the gas tank filler neck and I can honestly say that I hid behind a vehicle as he welded the filler neck onto the gas tank he was modifying. I was very surprised. You learn something new every day.
So much better with Kevin talking in the time laps. Great please carry on doing it
LOVE THE NARRATION ON THE TIME LAPSE!! you know SO much.. here's a great way to convey it!!
Love the commentary during the time-lapse. I know it takes more time, but I won't lie, there are some time-lapse portions I skip through, but not this time. As always, love your work man
Great Job Kevin! Although you used one of my favorite time lapse tunes I really like the info you add with the voice over. I think many of us understand how much work goes in to making videos and talking over a Timelapse only adds to that. Just know your efforts are appreciated.
Agree
Time Lapse + Voice Over = Excellent
Oh, I like the narration on the time lapse. Stepping up the game.
Adding to the list of those that appreciate the narration during the time lapse! Great job!
Love the talking time lapses. I love watching these videos but I don’t really know much about working on cars so I never knew what was going on during the time lapses.
Also, happy birthday to both of you!
Drews mullet needs its own CZcams channel
explaining time lapses is a game changer thank you
Really like the nararation. Can't wait to see Mullet ripping with a 3 speed.
Do not correct the spelling please. This is how men speak.
Voice over on time-lapse is awesome, lots more work but awesome.
I second that!
I also really like your voice over time lapses. get to hear some thoughts and additional information is way better than music
I third that. way better that the crappy music lol.
Huge thumbs up on the talking time lapse! 100x's better! I too am watching for both educational and entertainment purposes so it makes all the difference for me 👍🏻
8:45 man shaking his head back and forth like you done said this 47 times lmao. also respect to that same guy who refused to do anything else until everyone checked to see if those bolts were loose lol. hes a good guy to have around.
Always amazed by you and the crews work. I've learned so much from you guys! I'm pretty sure you already know this trick but when I weld on tanks, even after thorough cleaning I back fill argon into the tank, no oxygen no fire, it also keeps the bead smoother on the inside. Happy birthday and keep up the great work, can't wait to see yall's faces when Mullet rips a 6!
I really like the explanations and answers over the time lapses, definitely a good addition. 👌🏼
Came here for the Mullet, stayed for the metal work. Keep rock'in bro. You're kill'in it.
I definitely like the voice over with the time lapse.
one of my most favorite things to watch every Day ! Kevin is genuine and the crafstmanship is amazing
I saw your comment on vgg's million vid you will be right there soon
The both of you put out entertaining and informative vids without a bunch flashy stuff to detract from the enjoyment.
The auto community has something for everyone.
Made my comment then started to read the other comments.
I'm not the only one who likes the talk overs on the time lapse.
Happy Birthday To Kevin & Travis!!!!!!!!
Another great, informative video. Happy birthday to both of you. You all seem to get along great. Thanks as always for taking us along.
I like the talking time lapses. I usually skip through most of them, not so this time. Happy birthday!
Me too
I think we can all agree that the new time lapse are awesome! Keep on the great work!
Seal Killer…lol
I like the talking over the time lapse for the extra info.
Happy Birthday Kevin and Travis! Thanks for the great content as always! Great work guys!! Also the voice over for the time-lapse is a good addition!!
Nice job Kevin, great shop culture! The duck call transmission jack....Quack quack quack! Travis' look when you said last time in with the transmission at 8:47
Have to say the commentary during a time lapse is a nice one. Would like to see more of that in the future.
I love the fact that Mullet man showed up while they are working on Mullet. That dude has an epic mullet..
The talking time lapse was a great idea. I know it is more work for you(recording and editing) but I wouldn't be upset in the least about seeing more of the talking time lapses. Congratulations on the 250K! Good job to you and the guys 👏🏻👏🏻
Love the talking timelapses. Massive improvement, more interesting as we now know what's actually being done and I don't feel the need to skip on.
Your voice over on the time lapse works well and helps understanding of the video! Good show!
Loved the commentated time laps I prefer your explanation of what’s being done and why it’s way more informative
Happy Birthday guys, hope you both have a great night! And, yes, the narration is infinitely more enjoyable the the previous time lapse segments. Upward and onward K, congrats on the 250 milestone, next stop 500K!
Happy belated birthday for both of you! Love the talking time lapse, that with some normal ones would be cool to mix it up.
Also first the squirrels now the seal helping out, Kevin has an entire zoo helping him out 😂😂
You talking during the laps has made my life better now i dont have to skip the time laps keep doing that thanks 🙏
I enjoyed the talking time lapse. It’s nice to pick up different pointers or to hear what the problem was and how you came about a solution. Please do more of these!
I have always liked the time lapse videos and with you telling us exactly what you are doing, they just got better. Kevin welding the tank, (children don't try this at home". 🤣
You the man Kevin!!! The fab segments are my favorite because you and the boyz are killin it!!! Congrats on 251,000 Subz!!!
And the other 1000 in the last 2 hours. LFG!!
@@jesseshort8 I can only thank Cleetus for the intro and I can see why Jeremy referred him.
Congratulations on 250,000. I’m digging a Time-lapse talk because it really describes in a little more detail than just watching what you’re doing. I really enjoy this channel
I enjoy the talk over the time laps. Definitely helps some of us learn a bit more.
As one of the whiners about the time lapses, I give two thumbs up on the voice over vs. the music!
Stop whining about that you’re literally making less content for the rest of us now Cletus doesn’t do it anymore and several other channels don’t do it anymore and I want to watch them build the cars.
@@BigD4Real. I will whine about what I don't like. I don't care to watch a car being speed built with cheesy music. I know it has to be done here, and he has made a drastic improvement on how he does it. Why bitch about me complimenting him?
wouldn't having the breathers in the back of the valve cover, combined with removing the baffling inside, make the engine throw oil into the hose to the catch can from launch forces? maybe it would be better to just make like a 2'' hole or a few 1 inch at the front of the cover? keep up the good work!
I think that's why he welded the risers on there
The bigger the vent the slower the air moves and the less it wants to suck oil with it, the risers on the valve cover help there as well.
Also losing a bit of oil every pass is a ton better than having crankcase pressure. Under road driving it may be an issue, but the lack of boost will likely keep it to a minimum.
@@ionstorm66 yes im aware of that, but im not saying he shouldn't ventilate the crankcase, im saying it might not be a tiny bit of oil on launch, it could be alot. im just thinking it might be better to have more ventilation at the front then add it at the back. even with the riser, if a qt. of oil gets sloshed up there, it will add resistance in the long hose to the back of the car where the catch can is, as its harder to move fluids then it is vapors, making the vent less effective. the risk of this is also much higher when the baffling inside is also removed. Not saying it wont work, not saying he doesn't know what he is doing. just my curiosity asking if one might be better then the other.
@@ionstorm66 Also under road driving his not running alcohol so blow by is no issue
Time lapse is awesome. This channel is awesome because you take the time to actually explain the reasons why and how your making the changes.
Kevin you are the man. You’re attention to detail never ceases to amaze me.
Hopefully cleet will buy a new flexplate rather than having to slot holes. As far as hes pushing this car, I would want to make sure everything is perfect and balanced.
It can be machined vs done by hand, but even by hand it will be fine. It would take a huge screw up to unbalance. The converter snout keeps the converter centered, as do the other 3 bolts that line up. The last 3 don't center anything, just help with the clamp load.

Happy birthday Kevin. Definitely like the voice overs, describing and answering questions on the time lapse.
You're not idiots, just having fun, nothing wrong with that. Happy B-day to both of you.

3 more inches! Story of my life!
Love the commentary over the time lapse! Great addition! Keep up the great work happy for you!
I like the new commentary over the time lapse!!
*HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KEVIN AND TRAVIS! HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE A GOOD ONE, YOU GUYS DESERVE IT!*
Time lapse with voiceover is great! keep up the great fab and content Kevin!
Happy Birthday, Kevin! The talk over time-lapse is a win for me, the what and why with detail and specs, Thank You!
Happy Bday Kev and Travis!! 🎂 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I LOVE the talking timelapse
Time lapse with commentary is MONEY! Love it!
The idea of the "Talking Timelapse" is brilliant and a great addition. I know it probably takes a bit extra to do it that way but it's so worth it. Anytime we get to hear and learn from a master is always amazing. Thank you for doing it. Man "Mullet" is really turning into even more of a beast than he was when first completed and it's simply awesome to be able to follow along. We get to watch first hand and see exactly what to expect and what it takes to build/setup and Street Legal 6 Second car. A belated Happy Birthday to both of you and God Bless...
Keep them all running Sir. Better then before.
Love the voice overlay, but also love the time lapse jingle. Maybe split em? Great work Kevin, you're growing everyday!
It's funny how there's always someone hanging around the shop drinking all the coffee. 😆
“Yeah we are idiots” ❤️❤️❤️❤️ that made my whole day with smiling tears of joy ❤️❤️ thank you Kevin for bein a great humble amazing simple guy like the rest of us ❤️❤️
Great idea talking through the time laps.
