- Hey folks have I got a treat for you! I have a very special guest in the studio/train room. Nicole Willingham! Nicole is a very well trained artist in multiple mediums - oil paints, acrylic paints, tattooing, crochet and the list goes on and on. She's going to be put to the test in weathering a box car with me. A TTX box car! We'll see just how well versed she is when it comes to 1/87 scale stuff. With all that said check out the vid - peace ya'll.

WOW.... Purple is the new brown... Who knew ?? Well, evidently Nicole did ! !
This video was really fun man, I think I was smiling the whole way thru 😊.
As you know, I've been following you for awhile now. It's funny how every time I settle in to what I think I can expect from you... You throw me a new high ! !
That wide eyed look of discovery on both your faces was priceless!
You both totally peaked out the good vibe meter... can't wait for the next one.
Be healthy and stay you.
Hey bro - man this was such a nice comment - thank you so much for watching - and Nicole is an absolute joy to be around.
I never would've thought about purple for dirt. You guys are such a breath of fresh air for the hobby. It's always interesting to see how the hobby plays into other creative oriented interests! Can't wait for part 2!
Hey me either lol - like purple???? thanks bro
Great to have ya chatting to each other through it...I think I learn better when I get to bounce off others ideas. Great job. New ideas get born.
I learn that way better too - and she's super talented.
Nicole needs her own channel…’Train Tattooing with Nicole’
Haha yeah she does - but I'll keep her here for a while...
Great video, always awesome to see someone not in the hobby try it out. I have never airbrushed before and feel I picked up some good tips from this. Can't wait for Part 2.
That's awesome Dan - she had a blast as I did too!
I think she easily master the air brush thing… she’s having fun… dude you rock..
Like bruuuuuh easily - she's so talented it just oozes out of her. Preciate cha broski
This makes me want to jump on a flight, hang out with the two of you in the train room, paint trains purple and get my sleeves finished 😅 This seriously opened my eyes - I need to stop paying so much attention to traditional railway modelling techniques and dig out my copy of Gurney's 'Color & Light'. This is immediately one of my favourite videos on weathering.
PS Nicole, your art is awesome
What an amazing space you guys have here. Wow! This video was totally different to anything I usually watch. I'll stick around a bit, this is cool :)
Welcome Nicole!
Always cool to see people branch out in different areas. Now I need to get her to do some ink for me!
Much love and respect... 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💜💜💜💜
It was fun to have her!
love this mix between the two of you
Good video. Weathering and other uses of painting media in the hobby are forms of art. Often modelers get stressed out over the terminology.
Absolutely fascinating how that purple works with the yellow... it was really nice to see that you worked an extra brush into your show... awesome job Nicole!!!
RIGHT!!! It was super fun to have her here.
Interesting video , using contrasting colors from the color wheel is an approach I have been trying. Good to see the technique being refined, looking forward to the next part of the video.
IKR - - she's so smart and talented - I was honored to have her in the train room.
Wayman, really great job. Great idea to see both of you work through the process of how to weather a boxcar.
It was soooo much fun to have her and bounce stuff off of her.
New Sub: That was pretty interesting to use contrasting colors on the color spectrum. I'm looking forward to Part 2 to see the finished product. - Jason
Hey man thanks for the sub - going to do the same.
She reminds me of my daughter who used to be excited about art. She still is, i don't think you ever completely loose it, but not focused . Though dhe just did a stained glass cat that is beautiful.
Maybe ill send he down to you so she can get those creative juices going again.
And when she returnes she can weather all my cars. 😅😅
That's awesome bro - and I'd be honored to have an art session with her. Hahaha yeah she'll be able to weather all of your cars. :)
Good video thanks lee
Big Lee!!! Much love bro
That was a fun and somewhat a relaxing video. You must have a lot of over spray around the room.
Thanks bro - uhhh not really - lol I mentioned to the other comment yeah it has to go somewhere - but it's really super light and i typically have a window open. It was just two box cars really quick though...
Nicole: love your Harry Potter tattoo
Dope Bro! I didn’t know you were a tattoo artist?!
Hey thanks homie - yeah man been tattooing for about 6 years now man.
@@ProScaleModels I’m coming down to you. Need my sleeve finished
Awesome content!! Is that airbrush dusting the whole room?
Thanks bro and nah - I mean it has to go somewhere lol - but it's acrylic and it's a light dusting. I usually have my window open though...
