  • In this How To Weather HO Scale Freight Car video - I go a little in depth on how I do weathering. HO Scale boxcars are sized at 1/87 and are the most common sized used in the model railroading hobby. Hopefully we've made this easy For Your Model Railroad Layout. So sit back, grab some coffee (or your favorite beverage) and enjoy the vid. Thanks for looking and check out some other vids here on the channel.

Subscribed! And nice work. I'm modeling in N-Scale, but the techniques are all basically the same, so they will be very helpful. Thanks for the inspiration. 👍

you should get a throw away car and practice weathering with oil paint, I've weathered lots of cars that way. great layout i love the realism of graffiti and grime

I’m glad I found your channel. The boxcar looks great.
Constructive criticism: try and zoom in on your steps. Especially fine detail parts, like the rusting of wheels, and the ribs detail. I think that will show off your talent better. 👍🏼

Yeah - I noticed that. This was a totally different way of recording - but thanks bro and will have it closer on the next one. 👍

I use Krylon paint for various projects. Will try the clear coats. Like you, I have found the old standards like Testors and Tamiya clear coats are getting more expensive for less product.

Thank you brotha - and try either pulling up or pushing down to adjust the pressure. Cant remember but it's one of those...

  • @thecnwmondovilinepaulscota7304

Looks great! I'll be giving this a try in the near future. Did you let the 2 kinds of salt in the water dry before you sprayed over it?
