The American crime drama Magnum P.I. was a hit throughout its eight seasons. The series starred Tom Selleck in the lead as Thomas Magnum, with Roger Mosley, Larry Manetti, and John Hillerman as the remainder of the main cast. Set in Hawaii, the action-packed show had the right amount of funny to keep audiences hooked. The first five seasons of Magnum P.I. all ranked among the top twenty U.S. programs.
Tom Selleck won millions of hearts as Thomas Magnum. The role was so much more than the typical hero - Magnum was a well-built veteran but the average guy (more like a hilarious, charming, and quirky average guy). The character became so iconic that you can't think of anyone but him when you see a Hawaiin shirt with a Detroit Tigers cap.
Originally, Magnum P.I. ran from 1980 to 1988, and in 2018, the series was rebooted with Jay Hernandez playing a younger version Magnum. The show aired on CBS and is still one among the favorites of those who enjoy good old 80s television. The video covers some interesting, unknown facts about Magnum P.I. that will refresh your memories of this brilliant show more than 30 years after it was discontinued.

What for me also made Magnum such a unique show too is how you had an all male cast and the show focused on the depth of the friendship and camaraderie of these four men. They went through hell together, they went through good times together. They were willing to kill for each other or die for each other in a heartbeat and helped each other become better men. You don't get that type of rich focus on male relationships on tv today. Hell, you wouldn't get a show with an all male cast on the air today. The reboot lacks this type of depth and chemistry Selleck, Manetti, Mosley and Hillerman had.
So true best comment!
It always amazed me how Magnum and Higgins seemed to loathe each other, but when the chips were down, would risk their lives for each other.
The loyalty among them inspired my life. I love this show
@Leo Peridot Magnum was always a gentleman to the ladies, but didn't treat his friends very well. He was a constant mooch and always took advantage of their friendship, but like with Higgins, he would risk his life for them too.
What I found hilarious is that for the reboot they gender flipped Higgins, but for some reason they couldn't bring themselves to cast an older woman foil for Magnum, they had to cast a young attractive love interest instead thus completely destroying any progress they were trying to make.
I went to Hawaii in the early 1980's and found Magnum PI being filmed in a small area of Wiamanalo which was when I was driving and saw the Robin Masters estate. I pulled over then I saw on the other side of the road was TC's helicopter and his VW bus. Across from the estate is another property and they will filming the episode "Foiled Again". We hung out for most of the day and watched them film a lot outside and got to meet some of the guys working on the show and they were super nice and answered a lot of questions for us. Later in the afternoon John Hillerman came over to say hello and was such a nice guy, and later Tom Selleck came over, he was nice but extremely quiet very shy, but gave us an autograph. I heard him in an interview one time say that he isn't comfortable being like the center of attention. It really made our vacation in Hawaii very special
Higgins had two Dobermans that guard the estate. The dogs were named "Zeus" and "Apollo", and also referred to as "the lads". For season four, the dogs were to be written out of the show to save costs. Tom Selleck and John Hillerman objected, and the Dobermans remained for the rest of the series.
Tom Selleck objected as well?
the lads were characters like the rest of them.
It's not magnum without the lads smh can't believe they even considered that
You forgot to mention the greatest episode of Magnum PI ever made, Did You See The Sunrise.
Oh my god, YES!!!
Absolutely!
@@Mac10Daddy I wonder what voters would name the top five, and which would be one, two, etc.? For me "Did you See the sunrise" would make the list, but not number one--for me, but that's why I would like to see which was voted top five.
PS I did just find something--and in that poll, yes, "Did you see the sunrise" was number one. Still, not my favorite but I liked it a lot, here are the top 10 from that poll:
Rank Image Episode Rating
1 Magnum P.I. Did You See the Sunrise? (3.1 & 3.2) 9.5
2 Magnum P.I. Unfinished Business (8.8) 9.4
3 Magnum P.I. Death and Taxes (7.6) 9.4
4 Magnum P.I. Memories Are Forever (2.5 & 2.6) 9.4
5 Magnum P.I. Limbo (7.22) 9.4
6 Magnum P.I. Home From the Sea (4.1) 9.3
7 Magnum P.I. Paper War (7.8) 9.1
8 Magnum P.I. Laura (7.18) 9.1
9 Magnum P.I. Little Girl Who (7.7) 9.1
10 Magnum P.I. Operation: Silent Night (4.10) 9.0
That episode blew my young mind. Had never seen a TV good guy go so dark. And they never came back to it did they? Ivan's bones are still out there in the Hawaiian jungle.
I loved the humor between Tom Selleck and Higgins 😂😂 Especially the way Huggins would condescendingly say his name as only Higgins would do "Maaaggnuumm"😂😂
And then there was Higgins's classic "OH MY GOD!"
@@marianmoser-otto3590 More like: "OH! MY! GOD!"
So glad Mr. Selleck passed on being involved with the new "Magnum P.I.". Good call, sir.
The new show should have been based on a series of novels based on the real character. There's an over the top stunt, which is interrupted by Selleck as Magnum. Sudden cut to Magnum and the actors in the new show sitting around a table doing a read. Magnum explains that this new show, Lance Blanco, PI, is based on a series of books written by Higgins, based on Magnum's real case files.
One of the best shows ever
THE best show ever.
Still watching the reruns.
True
I always knew magnum PI growing up but I recently started watching it again about 2mo ago. When I was a kid I didn’t realize how great the show is.
@@jesset2504 it's a great show. I watch an episode or two every day thru the week. Never gets old
Roger E. Mosley was a licensed private helicopter pilot but couldn't actually fly the Island Hoppers chopper in the show because only pilots with a commercial license are allowed to fly in movies and TV shows.
I fell in love with the show after it had ended (in my 20's). The cast and character development was so good. One thing I read and that makes you love Tom Selleck even more is that he agreed to do that final season for his castmates.
There should have never been a reboot.
So very true!
Maybe a movie?
There is ever ever only one magnum! EVER!
Maybe a spin off? Son of Magnum? Like they did with Knight Rider.
As far as I'm concerned they never did!
I relate Magnum to Rockford Files ... both are self deprecating P.I.’s... both well done
And, do you recall when a very young Selleck appeared on the Rockford Files, on more than one occasion, as a young and promising private eye?
@@jimquantic Yes, as that part was written for Selleck by their mutual mentor
Yes, great connection. Both shows had much in common. I know they were my dad's two favorite shows. But I grew up on Magnum.
@@jimquantic He was also on a Streets of San Francisco episode
As an extra in a several episodes including screen time as a softball player in Triple Play, I must say this was a wonderful show and great cast. Everyone involved was a class act. Also had the pleasure of being at a dinner with Mr. Sinatra when he guest appeared in an episode. Actually hooked him up with special made expresso’s. This was way before Starbucks, etc. He was sooo cool!!!
Lucky!!!
That is so fantastic. Would you be so kind as to give a hint to what episodes you were in and where? I would love to look you up! Thank you very much.
Expresso?
I always enjoyed Magnum, P.I., mainly for Tom Selleck. From what I can discover about him, he is a really decent guy!
I loved this show. I also found it funny you showed John Candy dressed as Orson Welles when talking about Orson Welles.
I had to rewind and watch that a couple of times, and immediately noticed it was John Candy.
LOL I picked that up in the first second, John Candy was a legend in his own right but I felt it important to scan the comments to see if anybody beat me to it. And beat me to it you did.
I bet this channel didn't even know. they do a pretty piss poor job with these. these channels are a dime a dozen. They said the reboot has a younger Magnum & that's false. He's actually older. Shows they don't have a clue about any of this.
One of my favorite Tom Selleck roles was Lance White on Rockford Files another great detective character. Don't miss his western movies, they are well done.
Going by memory here, but I loved how everything always worked out for Lance. He had a real optimist attitude which drove Jim Rockford crazy.
They referenced the Lance White character on an episode of Magnum. It was a flashback scene in the 70's where two guys were talking about an episode of Rockford Files and mentioned Lance White.
I once told a dear friend that Selleck was born to act in westerns, and for Christmas that year she gave me a set including: CROSSFIRE TRAIL, MONTE WALSH & LAST STAND AT SABER RIVER! Love it!
@@thewaitingape And, Joe Santos who played Dennis on Rockford Files was co-starring on that episode of Magnum.
Especially "Quigley Down Under" -- with the one of the best screen villains of all time, none other than Alan Rickman. Truly enjoyable movie.
Love Magnum PI / Tom Selleck and the wonderful cast.
One of my favorite shows ever, a huge part of my childhood. The reruns on Hallmark channel got me through the first two months of the pandemic
I was stationed in 1980-81 in Hawaii while in the Navy. We used to watch them film scenes around the island. I remember one time they put a fake phone booth on Hotel Street and Magnum/Selleck drove up in the Ferrari to make a call. It was a lot of work for one little scene and there was an actual phone 100 yards away so I wondered why they needed the fake one. Watching the episode in reruns years later I remembered the scene and you can actually see the fake phone booth move a little. Great memories.
Sorry - there was and there is just one Thomas Magnum... and his name is Tom Selleck!
right you are vitordragon. The reboot sucks IMHO.
@@Beatle4 Concur. And a bit off topic: I dated a guy who had been a server/bartender in Hawaii back in the 80's. He said Tom used to be around with many attractive ladies (one at a time) and was the nicest guy, and a generous tipper.
@@sarahdee374 Husband of one of my cousins knew Tom Selleck from attending USC and said the same-nice guy. He also was very athletic and I think played on the basketball team.
vitordragon Amen! Love watching Tom!
Absolutely
The Magnum reboot is trash, only one Magnum and that's Tom Selleck
I'm latino and all for inclusión, buuuut John Higgins a lady, and tm latino small and not even lean and strong.... Commoooonnn
It is Magnum P.I. for the P.C. crowd.
All CBS reboots have been nothing but trash
i agree
Absolutely
Fun Fact; They had to alter the Ferrari 308 to accommodate Tom Selleck's tall stature.
love it
and they originally wanted him to drive a Porsche, but they declined to this promotion. So they went with Ferrari. Which was way too small for Tom Selleck - and this is the reason he always drives it open.
@ its true
@ damn brah lol. you should probably get out more
@@stoffls True! Porsche refused to alter a car to fit Tom's 6 ft 4 in frame. It was against their policy. Ferarri took padding out of the seats and Tom's head was still slightly above the windshield. It was a good deal for Ferarri as they sold cars because of the show.
I just watched another YT video which has probably all of the scenes of Magnum "breaking the fourth wall" and looking straight into the camera, sometimes with a smile, a smirk, a look of disbelief or a frown. This was one of the only shows to do this besides possibly Bruce Willis in "Moonlighting", and Willis didn't do it as often as Selleck. Also, Magnum PI was one of the only shows in which the lead character provides voice-over narration. John Hillerman got to break the fourth wall in the closing scene of the episode "Legend of the Lost Art", Selleck's consolation prize for losing out on playing Indiana Jones.
Yes!!!
My favourite show of all time - I grew up with this show.
One fun behind the scenes spot of trivia is that Tom Selleck's girlfriend (and later wife) appeared in three episodes of Magnum P.I. Tom asked out Jillie Mack in 1983 when he was in London filming the movie "Lassiter", after seeing her in multiple performances of the musical "Cats" where she played Rumpleteazer. She appeared uncredited in the 1984 Magnum episode "Rembrandt's Girl" as a party girl (which also starred delightful Carol Burnett), notched another uncredited appearance as an auditioning tap dancer in the 1985 episode "Fragments", and played a significant role as Sally Ponting (aka Eliza Doolittle) in the hilarious 1985 episode "Professor Jonathan Higgins". Interestingly, she doesn't interact much with Tom Selleck in that episode, but they were definitely involved at the time.
The 308 GTS is one of the best cars Ferrari made.
Weirdy it was not ... but it suited Magnum and Higgins very well. Those two are so different that to me that also sums up the magic of the 308!
John Hillerman (Higgins) was not British. He was born in Texas.
And have a twin brother
AND he starred in "Blazing Saddles"!
No, you're thinking of his brother Elmo. 🤔
Besides Blazing Saddles he had a small part in Lawman with Burt Lancaster which you can watch on CZcams.
Yes, Hillerman was born in Dennison Texas and always praised for his ability to do the English accent right. In fact, Selleck says when he is in England, people always asked him about "the British chap" from the show.
Tom Selleck is Thomas Magnum! John Hillerman was Higgins! (May he rest in peace) Roger E Mosley is Theodore Calvin (TC)....Larry Manetti is Rick Wright! END OF STORY!!
Yes, yes, yes!
Exactly
agreed
Actually it's Orville Wilbur Richard "Rick" Wright
Amen
I seem to remember that James Garner was going to be a guest star, playing his character, Jim Rockford. I don't remember why it never happened, but it would have been great. Tom Selleck played private investigator, Lance White on the Rockford Files for a few episodes.
Garner was suing Universal for Rockford royalties.
@@shirmanturley9330 You're quite right. I remember that as well. I also remember James Garner having a big smile on his face even though he couldn't talk about his settlement with Universal.
I also heard that Burt Reynolds was their first pick, but he bailed so they ended up with Tom Selleck
@@underneaththecape4055 No way! Selleck was under contract and they wanted him to play a detective in Hawaii.
@@underneaththecape4055 Yeah that's not true at all LOL it was always gonna be Tom.Hell they named the character after him because they wanted to set it in stone.
The new reboot Magnum P.I. is a load of crap. The original was the only one ever.
I totally agree!
There's a reboot? Oh gawd.
There isn't enough money to make me watch the re-boot.
@@katemaloney4296 I totally agree with you, Kate!
TOTALLY agree!
Roger Mosely and Larry Manetti both did cameos in the New Magnum PI (it was nice to see them again).
Chuck Grenci Manatti has his own radio show on CRN .
when did both come on new Magnum?
@@chrispomaylivewithcdpsport5517 They were in separate episodes as different characters (of course); I suspect, an homage to being of the original cast and a nostalgic look-back for us diehard fans.
Wish i knew what episode Larry the original Rick was in?
@@chuckgrenci6404 Or they just needed the money, especially Roger because as an eighty something year-old black man in this business you ain't gonna turn down too many checks regardless of what it is he's gotta eat too lol. Personally, I think the producers just wanted to use them to manipulate viewers, they tried it with Selleck but he didn't go for it.
Mike Post also did the themes for NYPD Blues, Hill Street Blues
The narrator said that Jay Hernandez plays a "younger Magnum". Jay Hernandez was 40 years old when cast as Magnum. Selleck was 35 when he started playing Magnum, five years younger than Hernandez.
Yet somehow Hernandez looks like a pretty boy while Selleck looked like a grown ass man lol.
@@kendallrivers1119 Yeah, Hernandez does look about 10 years younger than his chronological age. Both Selleck and Hernandez have said that the re-boot is a different show. The characters may have the same names but they're not the same characters and have different life stories and personalities, especially Higgins, being female and younger than Magnum instead of older. Plus, it was obvious from the start that the folks who made the "Fast and Furious" franchise were in charge as it had that look of a video game. Selleck must have guessed that even before the series launched as the "Hawaii 5-O" re-boot already incorporated a lot of that with what Selleck said had more explosions, car crashes and cartoonish violence. The scene of the destruction of the Ferrari 308 GT in the pilot episode was so outlandish with Magnum jumping onto the helicopter as the truck and Ferrari go over the cliff. Selleck really called the tune on that one.
@@socoman99 Oh yeah he's been very honest about it. Not happy about the reboot but didn't stand in their way because they were trying to set him up to look like a jerk if he said no and they wouldn't do it. He simply proved how much better he was then them by saying good luck but he wanted nothing to do with it. Class act.
@@kendallrivers1119 Yep
Magnum, Rick and TC were supposed to be around the same age in the show. In fact, Roger E. Mosley was 41 when the show debuted, Selleck was 35 and Larry Manetti was 32. John Hillerman was 48 and 12 years younger than his character, Jonathan Higgins, who was supposed to have been born around 1920.
What i loved about magnum pi was the loyalty between Higgins Magnum Rick and TC and the often silent respect for one another it was the ultimate buddy show with as much comedy between Higgins and Magnum as Drama that show was visually amazing and had very good writing.
@@markdubois3614 Yeah, the personal chemistry between the actors and the characters they portrayed was evident from the very beginning. Larry Manetti and Roger Mosley were room mates for the first several months they were out in Hawaii while they made the pilot and had to wait for the strike to end so they could film the first season. Manetti said that he and Mosley clicked as friends, which made life much more pleasant, as they had a lot of down time before filming the first season.
Actually I thought one of the most hilarious things about that show was his laugh. Mind you a great cast too. And intro music and writing. Oh nice car also. And the women, oh the women.
To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or
whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark

Per Magnum himself in the pilot episode, when he was referred to as a detective, Magnum said, "Investigator, Private Investigator."
I missed so many episodes in the 80s. I went back and binge watched as many as I could find during Covid. Really enjoyed it. Not sure what it was about the show - breaking the 4th wall - the innocence of 80s TV and the very good production and everything - it was a serious show - yet funny and fun. 1 of a kind
I’m always on the lookout for reruns!!! Never get tired of watching!! I have the First 7 seasons on DVD!!
As a car nut I watched it mainly for the 308GTS. The Fall Guy had a brief scene where Colt Seavers meets Tom Selleck while him and Howie are in Hawaii and Tom is concerned as to why they are both dressed as nurses.
Tom Selleck is great though, it can only be imagined what things would have turned out like if he had got Raiders instead of/as well as Magnum. Kids today just don't have what we had 😊

Lol. My air force roommate in Cheyenne, WY (F.E Warren AFB) and I would watch Magnum every week. We both put in dream sheets for Hawaii. He got sent to Germany and I got sent to Bellows AFS, in Waimanalo, HI. They filmed several episodes of Magnum on Bellows, most notably with Carol Burnett. We Air Force cops were always their security when they filmed on base. We partied with them all, a lot. We also go to be extras onna few episodes. Carol Burnett was great. She made us all call our Moms and she'd talk to them and let them know she was making sure we were being taken care of. Such a nice lady and what a great experience for me, a young 18 year old from Dallas. I hope someday to meet Tom Selleck sometime and thank him for their friendship and care for all we Air Force cops back then.😁👍

The Smithsonian dedicated the Detroit hat, the ring and his red Hawaiian shirt noting specifically that Magnum was the first show that presented Vietnam vets in a positive light. The flashbacks of the war and the way it worked into almost every episode made this show a fictional historic masterpiece.
When i first saw the pilot as a 14 year old I didn't notice but later in life i realized that when he slides back the targa top after stealing the Ferrari he just drives off. The 308 top doesn't slide into the trunk so basically he just left the roof laying on the side of the road. The original series will always be the best no mater how many times they try to copy it.
I read there was actually some behind that grabs the top. He almost never has it on as he is too tall and would have to slouch. Porsche turned down having their car featured. Huge mistake.
@@Seafloor I heard somewhere, can't remember my source, that Tom Selleck was so tall they had to modify the car by removing the front seat and he basically was sitting in the back seat.

Magnum was the right show at the right time with the right audience. Anything short of a movie would never make it.
Magnum PI and Hawaii Five-O set the standard for action series and have never been bested. I have both series on DVD and still watch them.
I loved.magnum p.i..Tom selleck was great.
The "Masters Estate" is right next to a Freemasen retreat. My Navy Brother who was a neighbor when both of us were stationed in Hawaii took us there. The breakwater lagoon you see Magnum swim and kayak in was beautiful swimming. One of the Officers from our Medical Office at Camp H. M. Smith tried out for a part playing background officer at the O Club. Loved being stationed in Hawaii
I was stationed there in the 90s. Loved recognizing the locations that appeared in the show (as re-runs by then). Couldn't help but think I was living in the Magnum PI universe back in those days. Probably because, like most men my age, I grew up on that show. One of the GOAT!
Watching it right now. Love it.
Good post! Great Shows!
The co-stars were also famous in their own right. John Hillerman was a school teacher in "The Last Picture Show". Larry Manetti played a fellow LACoFD paramedic in "Emergency!". Roger E. Moseley was in a movie with James Earl Jones called "The River Niger".
They had a lot of actors from "The Black Sheep Squadron" or "Baa Baa Black Sheep".
John Hillerman had previously played in the series "Ellery Queen" as a competing radio sleuth. That was an excellent series which had great reviews but only lasted one season. (Not sure why) Hillerman's role added a lot.
who remembers when Selleck played a PI on The Rockford Files named Lance White?
The new one isn't even a reboot outside of the name. You just can't replicate it. My dad watched it all the time on the reruns in the 90s, so I watched it and I loved the old one, not the new one.
Tom Selleck and Mike Post (co-composer of the theme song) were classmates at Grant High School in Van Nuys, California.
Good knowledge sir! That is something the maker's of this video could have included to impress longtime fans.
Having graduated high school in 1984, I recently caught up with some friends online and asked if ANY of them had moved to Hawaii, bought a red Ferrari and now solves crimes with a helicopter flying friend?
None of us have done it. Not one. Kinda hard to believe considering THAT was the ''plan'' back then.
It’s still my plan ...
Best show of all time! Classic! One thing that happened on the show that was potentially a first and certainly unusual for a daytime TV show (aired at 4PM in East Coast, USA) is that the hero shot someone "in cold blood" in the episode "Did you see the sun rise?" It was pretty shocking and gave the series a serious tone despite the light hearted camaraderie. I didn't like the add-on of Tom supposedly being a former member of the Seal teams, which was mentioned later in the series (season 6?) when he had hitherto always been described as a former "naval intelligence" officer. It seemed obvious they just added that late for the cool factor. My biggest gripe is how he carried his handgun without a holster all the time; that would never have happened with someone with his supposed background. Oh, and in the episode where he completed an Iron Man triathlon, they messed up the distances. It was a great "adventure-buddy" series though and certainly my favorite show. Cheers.
I know a lot of team guys that belt "tuck" carry. I'm former 1SFOD-D and I do from time to time myself.
@@grogvaughan5649 Well it's an honor to chat with you and I assume you'd never play about that; I detest stolen valor. I'm not really surprised to hear you say that since guys with advanced training often break the rules. I also bet you wouldn't advise guys carry that way for a whole bunch of reasons. Assuming you are who you say, great chatting with you.
Rick played a character in a show previous to Magnum. It was called “Baa Baa Black Sheep”. Great show too!
We agree! Thank you for watching our content. Be on the lookout for our next video!
Wasn't Thomas Magnum the first main character on primetime TV to commit murder on air? Not some self defense shootout either. He flat out put a bullet in someone. Was it "Did You See The Sun Rise"?
That wasn't murder, it was a justifiable homicide.
As a teenager watching when that happened, it was the last episode I watched. I could no longer see him as a good guy.
Also I think the writers of the new Magnum were aware of this as the first episode was called "I saw the Sunrise" and a very angry Magnum did NOT kill the man who murdered his friend.

There is one and only Magnum PI to me and that's Tom Selleck!! The whole 80s series was amazing and the whole cast was simply perferct !
I tried to watch the reboot, but I did'n like it at all.
I don't even know how many times I've rewatched the original series, I can't get enough of it, I simply LOVE IT !! It's the best series of all the times !!
( sorry for my bad English, not my mother tongue, I'm from Italy)
I miss those guys. No one can ever replace them. The reboot proves that.
I had every Magnum PI/ Tom Selleck poster covering the walls of my room.
Tom Selleck accepted his role as Magnum PI , Indiana Jones was offered after he had committed to Magnum PI, Indiana Jones was a blockbuster and already making money before Magnum got of the ground good to show that Tom Selleck is really a honorable man.
I LOVE MAGNUM PI TV SHOW. I WATCHED IT WITH MY DAD IN THE 1980S. THEN WATCHED EVERY EPISODE WITH MY DAUGHTER ORION IN 2012 -2013
NICE COMPILATION OF MAGNIM PI !
Combining Magnum and Quantum leap is the most ridiculous premise I’ve heard. Glad that never happened.
Tom Selleck got tired of the scenes of him shirtless or walking out of the ocean, he got sick of having to bare his chest all the time so they started him keeping his shirt on. I booed that decision lollll
I am from Michigan in the USA and I was told that Tom wore the Detroit tigers cap because he's from Detroit Michigan and sometimes he would come back home to visit his family here in Michigan, I use to watch this show with my mom , I see that they have reruns on t.v.
I will have to start watching them !!!👍🏼
God bless to all of us in the world and please wear your mask and social distancing is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo important as well, I say this because I care about everyone in the world!!😷✝️🇺🇸💕✌🏼
There was an episode that was a BIG wink and a nod to Tom Selleck almost actually being Indiana Jones. Great episode.
I'm longing to watch Magnum PI again in Argentina, the ORIGINAL SERIES!. Loved watching the show, specially handsome Tom Selleck.
Thanks for watching!
I loved the theme song.
me too
As a Brit I can tell you that we loved Texan fake Brit John Hillerman as one of our own 🇬🇧
This is my favorite tv shows, I wear a Tigers ball cap because of it.
I am enjoying this show right now on Amazon Prime.
In the 1985 episode "Deja Vu", Peter Davison of Doctor Who fame played Ian MacKerras travels to England to procure a castle, Magnum looks up an old friend only to discover he had passed.
fact: Magnum wasn't shot with "video quality", it was shot with "film quality", which means the quality is still very good and I know there's a blu-ray over there enhanced digitally...
This would be better if the narrator took a breath and paused every now and then so we could hear some of the dialogue.
You forgot to tie in TC, the pilot and the backstory between him and Magnum.
He prefers Private Investigator.
The second clip of Orson Wells is John Candy doing a skit as Orson Wells! XD
I saw this and wondered if anyone else saw lol
no mention of magnum's iconic ride...
I was ALWAYS a Magnum fan! Especially since he and my dad look very similar and even have some of the same quirky traits :) I was NOT impressed by the reboot and refuse to even watch it
The bikini clad babes running around in the background was another factor for the show's popularity. 😀
Love Magnum P.I. gotta Love the Glory Day's of the 80's😎👍
Nothing new here nothing to see here👎🏻. Still think he’s a better magnum then the new one! Nice to see the old pictures again🤔
@David Erickson And completely stupid... There is one Magnum, and that's Tom Selleck...
