    Drag ur rake along the edge of the road. You should notice a drain when it hooks the grate or a clog. The deepest parts should have a drain and theyre usually at intersections too. Nice vid I enjoyed the scenery of the cemetary. Feel bad for the traverse owner. A hyrolocked motor is $$$$

  • @cliffjohnson2273
    @cliffjohnson2273 Před 2 lety +4

    Most cities put the drains at the same part of the street same distance from the intersection, so they are uniform so the workers do not have walk the whole of the street. Or at the deepest part use the rake to find that by where the comes. I have glued a tape measur to the rake I use for that.

    Got a thought for when you're trying to find the drains maybe tie a small bar magnet to some fishing line or whatever and drag it behind you once you come across the drain the magnet will stick like crazy on it.

  • @MooseTurder
    @MooseTurder Před 2 lety +1

    I see dead people. Side note, above ground vaults are used in areas of high ground water, as water has a tendency to push caskets upwards and out of the ground. This would be in older cemeteries that didn't use concrete vaults for the casket (or coffin)

  • @colinlove5062

    That hole on the side street might have been one there were heavy machinery tracks and dirt. If it was a flat one with dirt on it could have been impossible to find. You’d think that corner would have em but looks like a bad design I guess. When the streets were repaved old street designs weren’t great but a lot of it was done quick and cheap. Not enough thought to where the water was going. Friend of mine has a puddle almost year round because of a new new handicap crosswalk. The river is across the street but it creates this low triangle. They removed the speed hump cuz it had the whole entrance flooded always. A dip in the main road would channel it into the rouge. Nice neighborhood too by the park the neighbors keep it clean mowed n swept. But they get a mosquito pond on the corner crosswalk to the park. Supposed to be part of the new area that channels flood water into rebuilt park space with wetland boardwalks. Shame the little important details get left out, could do something while they rework the park. Supposed to keep water out of thousands of basement, but this one spot has water still in the street days after it rains.

    Maybe watch some Post10 videos to see how he unblocks them. You've got the perfect situation to provide content that would blow up but nobody will watch 12 minutes of someone aimlessly walking around in water waving a rake around. Get a cheap tripod for your camera. Walk the entire kerb until you find a blocked grate then set the camera up and get raking. Its not that difficult and the channel will get huge in no time. You've got the floods now lets see you do something about them!

    This is the most unsatisfying video I've ever watched! Guy goes to drain a flooded street and ends up just walking around and talking to people! Then he gets in the Crime scene car where he leaves his DNA and finger prints (you're in Detroit MI. bonehead), and never does drain anything! You have the audacity to want me to like & subscribe but you failed to drain the flooded street??? First: locate the drain hole. Second: put on gloves (so you don't cut your hands on broken things knuckle head). Third: pull stuff away from where water goes into drain, AND...here's the big one...put the stuff that you pull out of the water (OUT OF THE WATER...if the stuff is left in the water it will flow with the water back into the drain)...where it will not go back into the drain! The key point is to locate the drain hole that is plugged! If you can't locate the drain hole, 1) stay in your car or leave the area...like everyone else does. 2) Certainly don't make or post a video if you can't locate the drain. 3) Don't start the video until you locate the drain or we are left watching some stupid crackhead walking in a street in a poor neighborhood of Detroit. 4) Change your channel name from "Detroit Drain Gang" to "Detroit Failure Gang", because you did not drain anything! On a Final note; get out of this business altogether and leave the draining videos to the professional youtubers...the people that come prepared with the right tools and who quickly locate a drain and document from beginning to end the draining of the flooded street!
