- I had been interested in the Wood-Mizer Fine adjustment outriggers for a while. It can sometimes be a pain to set up the mobile sawmill. I was curious if these would make the process any easier. I ordered these at the same time I ordered my new Lt40 sawmill. Needless to say these were a little ahead of the new mill. Currently I have been using them for about 6 months and in this video I show you a little about what I like and dislike about them as well as how they function.
Great information, the WM site doesn't offer much information on the outriggers. I'm calling right now and add them to my order. Mill due to be built in March.
Glad this was helpful. March as in 3 months from now?
I definitely need to get these for our 35. Thanks for sharing.
For sure, it makes a difference. Hope this was helpful.
Looks like your power feed chain needs to be adjusted. At the midpoint, 7 to 8 inches below the top of the rail on a LT40.
That unit belongs to someone else now. I’m sure they will do that.
I purchased all 6 outriggers for my LT40 and have never regretted it. Since installing them I have never had a problem leveling the mill. They're a little pricey but they're worth it.

I agree. Way less headache. When the new mill arrives I will put all 6 on it.
You would think the mill would come with 6 fine adjustment jacks from the factory. The jacks are not a very good system.
That would be awesome!!
You can use aftermarket jacks for a fraction of the price.
What’s the socket size?
Off the top of my head I think 5/8 but I can check later for you.
@@DustyRanch It’s all good! I just measured mine 1 1/4 I’m gonna make a wrench with a hand crank!
@@tythesnoman I got ya. Sorry I thought you meant the mounting brackets. I didn’t realize you were talking about to top nut.
Oh yeah and the log turner is not much good on a square cant
Indeed. That is when the cant hook is your best friend.
