This Abandoned PC is Finally Finished

- Hi everyone, in this video I finish with building a PC and reduce the cost to the minimum. Later I was told that the PC case is a little newer but the motherboard, the CPU, and the PSU are older. This computer is fine for everyday average use and to play some games. Current specs: i5 8500, 16GB DDR4 RAM ( I got it for 25e ) MSI RX 580 8GB ( 15e plus 9 for the cooling fans ), and 256GB SSD. The game in this video is Assassins Creed Odyssey Ultimate Edition.
The PC has left because the owner who started with the building had to move to another country because of work, but after he returns he wants to finish this computer, but because the hardware has started getting old I got a request to do it for the cheapest as possible.

you handle the parts with such love and care .. i njoy assembling old systems as well .. cos of my jobs as a PC repair man .. always manage to get old parts FOC .. mix & match to fix up a Tower .. give it to certain needy customers .. its feels good & really fun :)

I'm very surprised with 8th gen processor. It has free upgrade to windows 11 since this is Intel Core i5 8500 with LGA 1151 socket motherboard.

That degreaser is the OG. The water comes out brown...
The plastics and the heatsink from the GPU were yellowish/brownish, and little bit sticky on touch, dust, dirt, cigar smoke...

The only minor thing is that u should have placed the intake fan more lower since the mesh of the case is lower so it pulls more fresh air in, locking at it now the airflow seems blocked
Yes I agree, I change that before I return the PC, it was too high
I'd get the CPU up to a second hand i7 8700, graphic card up to a second hand RX 6600, and go full 1TB NVME (through OEM drives like Samsung PM981) if I was the owner of this rig. These upgrades still fall within the affordable range. Then again, you are following the owner's request to be as cheap as possible with the build approach, so it's understandable.
He has the mobo, CPU, PSU and Case already and he felt sorry to leave the PC unfinished but because time pass and the parts gets older he don't wanna spend too much on this computer.
@@ComputersAndTechAndAndrew the PC will still make for a wonderful secondary build, in case friends come over but have no gaming capable devices to go multiplayer together.

Pls next time use solins cleaner instead of isopropyl alcohol. It vaporises faster, and leaves no markings on the surface.
Oh, and also, change the PSU. This one have a really weird reputation.
solins cleaner is fine as well, also I didn't change the PSU because I was asked to leave it, but I agree better PSU is needed here
@@ComputersAndTechAndAndrew im working as a technician, and i recommend to use cleaner, it saved me quite some times, like when you need glue loosen without any risk of spilling the liquid inside - it just vaporates and dont stay in or damage the parts.

Designers really need to take account of the RAM height when they design cooling systems. I often have to tinker with this issue, and sometimes it's a pain in the a..

I am getting the same cooler master fan and heat sink (black edition) for $42 . The white edition is costing $26

did you check the volts of the new fans, were they same as old?
yes, the booth are from RX580, used genuine fans but in good condition

Yes its fine, MX4 is great thermal paste
all thermal pasts for CPUs (or most at least) work for GPUs too
The case Is huge and I saw some empty slots....

I’m having a major problem in my laptop
When i turn on my laptop after some time it makes beep sound and then shutdown by it’s self
This as a TV would be way more responsive and useful than the Airtel Xstream TV in my home which feels like an absolute trash bin to use, like even my LG WebOS UHD OLED TV from 2019 has better responsiveness than that Airtel shit. By the way I'm Indian but.. I dont know if that set top box is available in other countries tho.
PC is great for TV, fast, responsive, easy to use, except is much bigger than mini computers or other similar things like set top box. And yes set top box is available almost everywhere, I used to own one but few years ago :)

the thing is that windows 11 isn’t supported on all of hardware, not every pc ca;n handle it (like a core i5 2400 for example which can handle windows 10 but cannot handle windows 11
