I just got an sponsorship deal from someone claiming to be from xiaomi and they have sent me an pdf file and an password but i havnt opened the pdf file
That's pretty sinister. I've gotten "sponsorship offers" that seemed weird, especially with how small my channel is. Some deals offer for you to make ads for them in your vids, and I'm like, nope. Not working for free for you.
Yeah, there’s some actual good offers out there. But you have to be careful, one of the biggest scams is when they ask you to download a file.

Hmmm 🤔 now i gotta think about getting a lawyer.....the last video made me think about health care insurance taxes, and LLC's , .....its alot that comes with sponsorships.....all this information is preparing me to win...

Yeah, it’s becoming rampant. Just remember if a alleged sponsor ever wants you to download a file, don’t do it. They’re trying to take over your computer and your CZcams channel. Too many creators have fallen victim. I want to protect you guys!
Hi Ian, I appreciate that you spread awareness, but when mentioning specific file types like this I believe details on how a zip or 7z file could contain malware and what file managers are affected would be beneficial.
Typically, modern 7z & zip file managers are designed with security in mind, in order for a 7z or zip file to be dangerous on its own when handled by these softwares, there would need to be a security flaw of the file manager itself. Back in the Windows XP era Ive heard of cases where people were able to find specific vulnerabilities in these managers but this was a long time ago.

I got it too “ Corel video editing software “ but refused to give me a response after showing my interest
I get lots of sponsorship deals with zip file (rar file). But none of them was ever successful because I couldn't install the exe file
