I'm feeling like the plastic blades are actually an improvement. As I'm sure you know, rolling/ spinning weight is the most intense of stresses and cause of energy loss. By making plastic blades you decrease that deficit significantly. And the blades were strong enough to chop watermelons making me think they're strong enough for an average industrial usage. Also, metal blades would have bent and continued to spin possibly causing irreparable damage to the actual fan housing rather than breaking away and allowing for a fix
I laughed so hard this entire video and the damn fan still worked after all that, must be a pretty good fan if it can even pretend to survive an onslaught by whistlindiesel! Bet the horrible freight generator survived too... If they fished it out of the lake that is!
I was sure that blade was going to break with the first melon, but then I realized wow that's really dangerous. I'm disappointed with them using HDPE storm drain pipe for the fan shroud with it at that price.
@@aSinisterKiid calling that the cheapest material possible tells me you don't know how much that shiz costs. It isn't cheap, it's rediculously durable, just not $2400 durable.
@@brahtrumpwonbigly7309 I know exactly how much that shit costs. Especially buying it in bulk and cutting it down they can get that corrugated pipe for $80.00/100 meters. Don't give me that shit about it being ridiculously durable. Of course it is durable, but it isn't gold. It's fucking plastic and it isn't expensive. That little 24 inch piece probably costs less than $1.00 in material costs. If that company is building these fans with it then they are buying bulk shipments of pipe likely 100 meters long and paying $80 or $100 bucks for the single pipe. Cut that pipe down into 24inch sections and that mean they can get 164 sections to build 164 fans. At that price point of $2,400 bucks per fan you are talking about $393,600 before taxes. When you are talking about that kind of profit I don't want to hear about you using one of the cheapest manmade materials on the planet. Corrugated plastic pipe isn't special and it doesn't warrant that kind of price point. None of the materials they used in that fan warrant that kind of price point. They used cheap thinwall steel for the base, corrugated plastic pipe for the housing, cheap plastic fanblades and a cheap chinese motor. All in I could build that fan myself for less than $150 bucks. Fuck outta here with that $2,400 price point.
@@aSinisterKiid you’re wrong lol A 48”x20’ section of HDPE costs ~$1,600 retail. They’re making good margins as every business wants to do, but they’re not building these for $150 a piece lol

By the quotations in the title I’m guessing this fan is not gonna last long at all. Keep up the awesome content

The only youtuber I trust with doing reviews
THANKS FOR WATCHING❤️
HIT me up 🤘🤘🤘🤘I really appreciate you man
I just watched a minute long ad just so you can keep making great content!
i love how you guys use the hiluxs as dailys, so cool man, these old school pickup trucks that are what they once meant to be
I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard at one of your videos in awhile. Absolutely love how you’ll put absolutely everything to test no matter what. Keep it up man!
We have Big Ass ceiling fans at work. They work really well and can be adjusted for summer or winter use.
I must say, this video was very satisfying to watch.
Big Ass fan test: Passed
Me: Not impressed
Whistling Diesel test: Survived more than 5mins
Me: Impressed
This is why WD is successful. How can anyone not laugh while watching this and not give WD the credit for truly unique content!
Spot on. My brother doesn't get it. Calls him an idiot. That said, he thinks Gallagher was funny.
Gallagher isn't qualified to open for WD.
This was a great video that was a hell of a durable fan still worked after all that.
My warehouse uses this brand for our large industrial fans. Large as in like covers a span of 1k sq ft.
They are awesome.
Your next crossover episode should be the Slo-Mo Guys. I’d love to see some things get WD tested at 30,000 frames per second!
Gavin wouldn't be that dumb. WD is no one to them.
@@lifeintornadoalley well unless they liked his videos. Otherwise, yeah it wouldn’t be worth it without some large payment.
@@doofusPoofus Gavin only cares about bigger guys than them. Probably why they kicked him out of achievement hunter lol
Agree, slow mo of the watermelons into the fan would have been cool.
Theres a 30,000 woman meme clip missing here. 2:53
I've watched every one of your vids and this is by far the very best entertaining. The production and editing is as awesome as the content. WOW!
You are absolutely insane!! 😄 but I love it!!
I needed this , thanks
It would be great to see the crash test of some modern car from you;)
I would love to see a bone stock f250, Chevy/gmc 2500, ram 2500 go through torture tests and see which one is better. They would need to be only a few years old with low miles and bone stock. That would get a lot of views!
@MESSAGE +①(③①⑦)-⑦⑨⑨-⑤⑨②⑦ you are stupid 😅

I’ve heard Teslas keep getting 10/10 safety ratings so I want to see him do a Tesla
Cody is living out his dreams and getting paid a ton of money in the process. Congratulations man! You've earned it! Love your content.
I want to say Big Ass Fans is the best company I've ever dealt with. When they seen my house caught on fire and it ruined my fan they sent me a new one for free. Great stand up American company. Now I have the fan and i just have to figure out how to get the rest rebuilt.
Damn it man, the camera quality is insane! Dude these videos keep getting better and better every time. Only channel I actually look forward to the upload!
I could see companies paying you not to review their products lol
You're great at quality testing🤣
YOU ARE MY FAVORITE CZcamsR!!!
this is fucking awesome, brother you crack me up!
Bruh, even if it was a slow no wake area your boat would have sank if you didn’t keep moving, I’m excited to see what actually happens in part 2 😂
this is definitely more durable then ur average fan, should last throughout its life in a shop or construction site, defenitely not paying a few hundred bucks let alone over 2 GRAND for it
bro, the stand is like another $1500. That one that he has cost $4000. Closer to a tax write off for bigger shops

That is ridiculous for a fan! Especially one with plastic blades. Guess it's not made for guys like us, it's made for guys like whistlindiesel lol
@@TheMookie1590 honestly more then likely what it’s aimed at. You’d wanna hope it’s got a wild warranty but
@@TheMookie1590 wtf lol, ig theyre the apple of shop fans. minus the durability
This is the only CZcamsr I don’t skip most the video while watching.
Only part that got me nervous is in the boat with no protection, cuz that fan can definitely hurt you for sure.
But thanks for the non biased video
Honestly if I had my own products I’d want them tested by these guys. I’d know for sure if they were solid or not
Only pure steel would last after hes done with em😂
@@irishlad2505 true! WD will find a volcano just to prove us wrong tho
That makes me want to produce very awkward products ⊙﹏⊙
@@irishlad2505 Not even... did you see the most recent fan video? Nothing can survive lol
@@sneersh9107 give him a 5ft x 5ft square of steel and he will have it destroyed faster than the hilux😂
Improvement? They've been using plastic blades since 1930.
@@Immigrantlovesamerica could the plastics of 1930 withstand a watermelon at 5000rpm tho
@@southworthmedia Two world warss buddeh
Einstein of fanblades, you gotta work for Dyson son.
Now here me out carbon fiber 😎
I laughed so hard this entire video and the damn fan still worked after all that, must be a pretty good fan if it can even pretend to survive an onslaught by whistlindiesel! Bet the horrible freight generator survived too... If they fished it out of the lake that is!
I really dont know what mood it takes to double flip the bird like that
Kinda hilarious
I was sure that blade was going to break with the first melon, but then I realized wow that's really dangerous. I'm disappointed with them using HDPE storm drain pipe for the fan shroud with it at that price.
How else can you maximize your insane profit margins besides using the cheapest materials possible at the most ridiculous price point possible?
@@aSinisterKiid you’re wrong lol
A 48”x20’ section of HDPE costs ~$1,600 retail. They’re making good margins as every business wants to do, but they’re not building these for $150 a piece lol
@@aSinisterKiid let me know where I can find 24" pipe for 50 cents a foot I need some
Who wouldn't love seeing the company open this fan up in the box it came in as a return. Lol that would be great
Lol. He should do that. We'll never see their reaction when they open the box but it's the thought that counts
Man you’re crazy
I love it!
That was FANtastic laughed my ass off through the whole video
