I was not a stay at home wife because I wanted to work but my husband paid all the bills because he choose to and my little check I used on me. But he never had to do laundry ,clean, paint, home improvements or cook. When I was off I would make run with him. If he had to be out of the house at 5am I made sure he had a hot breakfast, he would call and stay he would be home for lunch or dinner and his meals was waiting. When he came in late I would have his bath water ran and a hot meal on the table. When I saw he was trier I would bath him and give him a massage until he fell asleep. My husband works between 12 to 16 hours a day. Comes home to a home cooked meal every night and doesn’t know what the laundry machine looks like (rightly so). I’m not anything special in that regard, I just can’t even imagine putting more on his plate. If you want a “partnership” ladies well that means you need to do as much as a partner would be required to do. Why is this even something that we’re having to debate or discuss in 2024?
