- Hi! I'm Tanic Sims 2 but you can call me Tanny and we are back in Pleasantview to meet the first of quite a few Pleasant families! History seems to have repeated itself for Eve, the youngest daughter of Mary-Sue and Daniel, who's raising her three children alone after leaving her cheating husband Morty Lothario. Will she forgive Morty, or will someone else come along to sweep her off her feet (and attempt to steal the family's new puppy...)?

Tried a few new things in regards to the format, but apart from including a teaser at the beginning I’m not totally sure about it 🤣 I realised a few days after recording that it probably would’ve been best to go through the backstory while showing the family tree. That way the first day would still be introductory and possibly uneventful but at least it would offer a few more hours of play. As I point out in the video though, it’s all ‘trial and error innit x’
Also - once again I didn’t realise how loud the game was until editing -(love my barely working ears)- It was especially loud once the shower and sink broke. Next time, I will turn the game down. Trial and error!
All that being said, I hope you enjoy this rather stressful episode! I’m working on a special celebration video at the moment but I will most likely pre-record the next episode soon so I can get it up relatively quickly. Hope to see you all there, too 🥰

that’s what i was thinking too! iirc mary and mark aren’t very close yet (mary’s closer to suzy) but that could change when they become children. their personalities are similar enough that they would get along, and imo they’ve had a somewhat different upbringing to their aunts in that eve actually pays attention to both of them, even when she has a full time job and an older daughter to care for alone. since she’s so busy at work she hasn’t really been able to teach either of them their toddler skills except for potty training, and though she never really witnessed the favouritism her parents showed angela growing up i think she’d be a lot more attentive to both kids idk. they have a strong role model in eve thankfully. it’ll be interesting to see what happens when they grow up, though! history’s repeated itself enough times for this family already - there’s always the possibility of another cycle. glad you’re excited, i am too! 🤗

Ha! I'm only 8 minutes in the video, but it's interesting to see how other people play out the neighbourhoods. Normally I play empty hoods and make my own families. But I was getting tired of playing by my own rules, lol. So I started Pleasantview a week ago and have been playing it obsessively since. First I got the Goths out of their ugly home and into a lovely playable mansion that I had built before (years ago), so they're living in actual luxury now, being rich and all. But I got Cassandra to dump the two-timing Lothario, and she got a lovely makeover (they all did actually) and looks quite Bohemian/stylish? Anyways, she's married to Darren Dreamer now, they had three bolts (I changed their attractances). And he is so devoted to her. She bought a lovely large home ($150K+) for his son Dirk and he's a teen living it large.
As for the Pleasants... I actually got them reunited, Mary-Sue turned out really cute and her husband warmed up to her. I changed their attractances and they now have three bolts. I was so happy, so I got her preggo with baby number three. BUT... while I was playing a different household, they were visiting a community lot and Dad Pleasant started flirting with Dina Caliente! Mary-Sue caught them and now she hates him. I was so freaked out hoping it wouldn't save for real, but when I checked their household I saw that it did. So all that work to rekindle their marriage for nothing. Mary-Sue didn't even want to sleep next to him, and she was heavily pregnant. She had a girl. I'm not going to break them up though. Dad (Daniel?) Pleasant is gonna age in one day, I'm not interested in their storyline anymore, I'm focusing on the next generation.
I also noticed that the Pleasant family is related to the Burb family in the family bin. So I moved in the Burb family, and now their teenage daughter is dating the teenage Alexander Goth. Mortimer dumped the golddigger Nina, and fell in love (pity?) with Brandi Broke. Brandi married him and abandoned her two teenage sons and newborn son to fend for themselves! The third baby she had was given up for adoption (because when I read that he was actually Brandi's clone that creeped me out). But the fourth baby was actually the illegitimate child of John Burb. She had a one night stand with him (three bolts) and got pregnant. She had a son named Johnny. But teenage Dustin Broke is looking after his brothers now. He's making do. I've got the "sell from inventory" mod. So what Dustin does is he buys mobile phones for $149, then goes to community lots and sells them to townies for $1000. I figured at least my sims can now call them!
a yeah me i always begin with veronaville in my game and i do oc too they almost all have kids with Shakespeare character name since I do love Shakespeare.
