As the camera pans, I thought I was going to see Jack ( from The Shining) sitting in his frozen stands
This ending would mean that they were both human. Somehow I find that ending "wholesome," in a way? Even though one/both of them have to die?
Who`s to say Kate died.... she could of survived and just disappeared and became a recluse....

Oddly enough, this is victory for it. It can wait in the ice for millennia if need be, it only needs to be dug up and pecked at by a skua gull at some point in the future long after humanity has forgotten about it for the nightmare to be unleashed once again.
