Wow that would be legendary. I hope in a future iteration that they let o&a do a mini series for one of the radio stations maybe they could make a mock Howard talk channel, or a ridiculous news station
I tell people that the first Dead Rising is one of my all time favorites, they’ll usually say “I’m sick of zombies, the market is too saturated”. In 2006 it wasn’t.
It was good, but the character AI almost makes the game unplayable. Rescuing survivors was a fucking nightmare because the AI was horrible. Thankfully Dead Rising 2 fixed a lot of that. I think the original Dead Rising deserves a remake just because of that.
The "Van Helsing" game Ant is talking about is Painkiller. You're a guy in purgatory killing Hell's army advance on Heaven. The weapon is also called "the Painkiller," a glove thing with blades you can spin to melee or fire off as like a buzzsaw. The fact that he also referenced the Stake Gun pretty much confirms it's Painkiller.
RcUniverseGuy _"No... Nooo... the greatest gun of all time in any video game is The Golden Gun in 007 Goldeneye on N64."_ Nah... the gravity gun was cooler because it was more fun. You could pick up so many things and launch it at enemies. Hell, even launch the enemies themselves! The golden gun was just a basic one shot kill pistol. It was powerful but wasn't that cool really. If you're talking about GoldenEye I'd say the coolest weapon was the proximity mine. It was so fun pissing people off by booby-trapping every spot around them so they couldn't go anywhere without blowing up.
ninjast4r The Grenade Launcher for GoldenEye? I don't even remember that. I still say the proximity mine was better because you could set up an entire area without exposing yourself. Hell, if you were really good you could set up the entire area and just hang back while the person dies so many times before they can even get to you.
Grappling hooks are fun in games against enemies. We need a gravity gun portal gun hybrid, that’s the ultimate weapon. But the best weapon ever is the can of soup in hitman, nothing better than brutally murdering pedestrians with a can of Campbell’s.
I would have lived to see how he would have freaked out at how advanced games are nowadays. If he thought COD was too real for him imagine him playing rdr2. Such a shame he is gone, he could have been the GOAT, even more than Pryor or Carlin.
That was my favorite game as a teen. Come on the idea of surviving in a mall and your weapons are anything from the mall is sick. Get stuck with no weapons swarmed by zombies, run into a music store and throw cds at zombies.
As a man who also enjoys cheat codes in their games like Patrice did, I’m surprised he didn’t find out about Adam’s chainsaws with the entertainment, engineering , and criminal biography books.
Cheats should be an option for people that want them. Why anyone wouldn't want more options is beyond me. Sometimes you just want to roll around in single player with god mode and unlimited ammo.
I would’ve loved to have heard Patrice’s opinion on RDR2. He probably would’ve disliked how slow it gets & he’d definitely have something to say about characters like the doctor in Rhodes.
Godfather was really fun for fans of the movie(s), being an extra in the background of scenes where Don Corleone gets shot, or Luca Brassi gets whacked. Not as good as GTA, but it had some good efforts at least. Mafia might have been better altogether, but I couldn't get into the first or second ones, but played Godfather at least twice.
@@TimeKillingFuel He would've been 51 years of age by the time part 2 released lol. This man was a gift to the world, he really was. I really wish Joe Rogan or some of his athletic friends could've motivated him a bit more when it came to getting exercise.

The biggest tragedy in video gaming is that Patrice never got to do a voice in GTA V.
We all know they would've put him in there eventually.
Wow that would be legendary. I hope in a future iteration that they let o&a do a mini series for one of the radio stations maybe they could make a mock Howard talk channel, or a ridiculous news station
Well he had a tiny part in GTA IV didn't he
Isn't he an act in GTA 5?
@Susan Martin he is
GTA V is terrible and doesn't hold up at all
Patrice had some good taste.

Desperado that dude Yahtzee is always going on about how great that gams is.
thanks for posting this all hearing Patrice riff on this is brilliant
Can you imagine his reaction to the games we have now? I'd love to have heard his take on VR games...
Nah man his reaction of VR porn 😂
I never heard this clip before! It’s cool to hear Patrice talk about one of my favorite games!
*sigh* seeing this makes me more bummed out about Patrice, being gone, everyone knows the first Dead Rising was the best one. Legends.
Dead rising 2 off the record was perfection

Wow, now I want a redone San Andreas with Patrice as Big Smoke.
NomnomJawsnomnom he would’ve been the perfect big smoke
Somebody could probably mod a Patrice NPC into GTA San Andreas and use voice clips from all the years of radio
fucken patrice is the man rest in peace big homie.
When Opie said "wow I can't believe I haven't heard about this game" I yelled "you're fifty" at the phone
Carl Österlund He's a child of the 80's and it flew under his radar.
ninjast4r he must not like his own podcast then.
Lol Carl that’s some shit I do, I don’t care they can’t here me it feels good to yell at Opie
Tsss I get it. You're fukkin passionate and funny cuzz
Hes quite the gamer
holy shit i didnt know patrice liked dead rising, one of the best games ever. cant believe i never heard this one
Man Patrice talking about the books you know he's fuckin played the game
Patrice convinced me from the grave to buy this game again
'I'm 36, and you're at least 59...' RIP Bud.
Holy shit. I never knew Patrice had such patrician tastes. One of my top 10 favorite games of all times.
yea that was a good one. there was just so much destruction. with anything in site that time was always tickin tho...........
Colin Quinn once referenced Tyrant from Resident Evil
@Michael Maxwell Nah sorry. It was a long time ago. My guess is pre 2008
@Michael Maxwell It was the one where they're talking about myspace angles. He says one of the girls actually looks like Tyrant irl.
Awesome to see another fan of this absolute classic!
I love Dead Rising. Im so glad to hear that Patrice liked it too 💯
Best video game gun ever is the Cerebralbore from Turok 2 hands down.

I could listen to o&a gametalk all day!
The Laptop gun in Perfect Dark, N64
Well best weapon in DR1 of course is Adam's small chainsaws with the magazines increasing their max uses.
When I was a kid, I always dreamed of getting locked inside the mall. This game was killer.
Imagine Patrice with a twich account, LMAO.
Patrice as Big Smoke would've been absolutely fire and we wouldn't remember big smoke for just one line

Shame Patrice never got to see the intro to The Last of Us
BFG from DOOM. Best fucking gun.

what is that vampire game ant was talking about towards the end???? i remember that game vaguely
Painkiller i believes
Dying light was good

Greatest gun in a video game ever is the portal gun.
It wasn't the portal gun. It was the Megaman blaster.
best weapon is mannequin torso
Opie has literally never heard of any good game or good movie.
Days Gone= Best Zombie game.
Patrice = Best shit talker.
I want that fucking Godfather game so bad, very bad reviews but its a game mostly for us fan boys. Tom Hagen for life.
Have you played the Mafia game series? Far superior to the Godfather game imo, and I love the Godfather movies.
The Scarface game is so over the top rediculous.
speaking of forgotten abysmal games there was a jackass game too.
