Ok prepare for a novel: I cannot even tell you how much I appreciate you and this comment section. I just left another CZcamsrs video and the comment section was so so so SO negative and it is honestly just so annoying. It is always so refreshing coming to your channel and the comments are always so positive and respectful and you are always so mindful and upbeat. I really appreciate and relate to what you were saying about the behavior of a lot of other CZcamsrs and it's just becoming exhausting. You are so positive while still being honest and genuine and I seriously thank you. On top of all that, I'm thrilled about this video because I have the foundation Artis style brush but I didn't get any of the others. After seeing this, I'm very interested in getting those eye brushes. Moral of the story: thank you for being an excellent, positive, and genuine CZcamsr!
Naomi Benatar You are spot on! I can only think of two other CZcamsrs who have such positive comment sections. How sad is that?! I think too many content creators get caught up in the online "celebrity" culture and start acting quite entitled. I can't tolerate that type of behavior. It's opposite to what I'm trying to teach my 15 year old daughter! I know I'm a bit older than the majority of the popular influencers. So that might have something to do with my mindset too. I just don't care to watch negativity or read it on CZcamsrs' social media outlets. If they want to be negative and rude, they should save that type of behavior for their personal lives and not foster it on their social media platforms. That's my 2¢. 😊
MidwestMakeupJunkie I'm with you! I'm only 21 so I'm probably a similar age as a lot of the CZcamsrs who perpetuate this crap and I still find it exhausting and juvenile. I love being able to come to this channel and read the comments for great makeup tips and suggestions without having to wade through a bunch of rudeness first.

Just out of curiousity, how did you two find Emily? I had picked up a free beauty magazine that had a little write up on 4 women who were "trail blazers" in the beauty & fashion world & Emily was showcased for her videos. Up until then I had only watched CZcams when my kids were showing me something. Then I found that article....& a monster was born...lol. My kids were then teens & I rediscovered makeup after being a SAHM for many years. I figure Too Faced, Urban Decay, & the whole gang owe Emily a whole lot of commission! 😄

I just found her tonight and I'm already thinking where has she been all my life. I love her, she is so different and so real compare to all the other youtubers. She just popped up on my home page and I was intrigued because of the RT brushes. But, just listening to how she talks and how describes everything is amazing.

Emily I would LOVE for you to review Sephora brand brushes. I love a couple of their eyeshadow brushes but I’ve never tried any face brushes & I hear they’re fantastic.
Overall the Sephora face brushes are excellent quality. I've had a few misses from different brushes, but those were in weird packaging. I'm not explaining that well at all. Lol The Sephora Pro brushes are on par with other high end brands. I've had some of my Sephora Pro brushes for over a decade. I take good care of them, and they've lasted! I hope this helps. :)
I’d like a review too. I went in store to buy a few brushes but they were expensive. I didn’t get them because I hadn’t heard enough about them to fork over that much cash. $40 for a brush that looked like a crease brush but was bigger.
I don't know what essence uses in their mascaras but I swear they last forever! And they have some of the most inexpensive and best mascaras in my opinion, they're my go to for mascara!

You are so right about people complaining! Everyone has hard times but I feel like a lot of youtubers complain about the smallest, most insignificant things that really makes them seem ungrateful for everything they are extremely fortunate to have. Thank you so, so much for not falling into this trend.
I feel like all the drug store brands are getting more and more expensive and I'm not feeling it. Even if the new products are of better quality, it's hard to get away from their initial price point, for me, anyway.
The problem is that the high end brands are getting more and more expensive too. The other day I picked up a Dior liquid lip at the airport for 24£. I remember when these were in high teens (especially at the airport where it's 20% cheaper) and now all of them are 20+. The annoying thing is the product is quite crap, so I won't get a lot of use out of it. :(
Just like Emily mentioned, I was quite shocked to see the pricing on some of Elfs newest products, I can't speak to the quality but geeeeez, I never expected that brands prices to be so dang high! Beauty products in general are getting ridiculously expensive... good ole supply and demand:/
LonDen Makeup Artistry I agree with you. I have thinking about this topic often. Nyx is another example. The new $30 pallets?!?!? No way. I was looking for brushes at Ulta just this morning and I came home with no brushes. Ulta was out of stock on several and I just could not pay so much money for RT. Just a few more bucks and I can get Sephora brushes. Which again with all the other drug store brands that are raising prices, most folks will probably put in a few more dollars and get the name brand that we would really rather have. The only bright point about the drugstore brands are coupons and sales!😃

IndigobluBeauty there is simply so much genuineness and class with Emily. She was my first CZcamsr. Literally, I rarely watched CZcams. She remains as fantastic as ever. She and Kristin Gehm were the first two and continue to be the top for me. They haven't changed. If Emily says it's good, I'll buy it. She should be a spokesperson on a zillion brands!

I had to laugh at your little ones nickname story. When my youngest daughter was a baby we used to call her Punkin, my son who is 2 years older couldn't say Punkin, he used to say Munkin which got us all calling her Munkin. Well fast forward to now, she's going to be 17 and my son still calls her Munkin and she still responds to it LOL
Susan Rodriguez my nic for my son was pumpkin head. It was our code word so he knew it was me. Came in handy when I had an injury and asked a nurse to call him to say someone else was picking him from school that day. It makes me smile hearing nics.

I especially loved what you said about showing gratitude and all of the things that seem to be going on on Twitter with CZcamsrs to & about their followers. I swear every single time I watch one of your videos I sit here and think “this is why she’s my favorite”. 😍 l absolutely love RT brushes and I’m excited to try some of these new ones, especially the eyeshadow duo. I have small, hooded eyes so it’s difficult to find brushes that I really like. I’m also going to have to buy the lip set - the colors are gorgeous! I have purchased so many items based on your recommendations and I’ve never been disappointed. 💟
I feel like the W&W setting spray is VERY SIMILAR to the UD all Nighter. They even smell the same! I’ve recently begun spraying my face w/either of these before my foundation & it gives my makeup extra longevity. I don’t use it as a last step.
I also like the wnw one. I've never tried the UD one. I haven't tried putting it on before foundation yet but I do like it for if my foundation looks cakey I spray it on and go over it with a damp sponge, totally fixes it and keeps it in place.
I’ve been feeling the same way about negativity except I’ve noticed it in myself. I walk away from conversations thinking why was I complaining so much? Why was I so negative? So I’m trying not to get sucked into that way of thinking but it’s a challenge.
Emily, I have been with you since the beginning and everyday I am more proud of you. Nowadays CZcams is clustered with new comers and sellouts that would do anything for a quick buck and drama. I think this look came out great! I will have to check out those eye brushes but I like my MODA dupe brushes for the face. I think that your positivity and maturity is one of the things that separates you and an handful of other CZcamsrs from the rest. I really love the way you talk about your daughters. My son is 10 and I was a very young parent and not perfect by far,but my daughter is now a year and half and I'm much older and in a better place in my life and I'm trying so hard to be the mother I always wish my mom would have been, but also be the mom I'm meant to be as myself. Everyday tho I feel like there's something I could have done better or been more understanding and im also trying to fix the wrongs in my sons life. Thanks especially for the pressed powder blush demo with the new blush brush! My mom asked for a new "better" (i.e. one that's better than the one that comes in her Clinique compact, but not so domed that she feels like she can't apply precisely) for Christmas. Knowing that's she's unlikely to start using a loose powder product, I'm glad to see how it works with pressed powder, too. I think she'll actually like the density, and hopefully the angle, as well!

I always love love love your eyeshadow because it looks great with your eye shape, but I was wondering, could you do a grwm trying a cut crease or some other out of your comfort zone looks? I would just love to see you do something really different, and I think you would do an amazing job! Maybe some graphic eyeliner that goes into the crease or something really editorial. On another note, I've been wanting to try some new real techniques, but their prices have creeped up so much that I'm just going to throw in a few more dollars and get some It brushes. I still love the orange sponges though!
Stuff I'm not fond of in my makeup collection gets taken to the shelters. I'm not talking about sending crap that is impossible to use, but stuff that I'm not a fan of (not skilled enough to use or it looks wonky on me). I know I was always thrilled when someone gave me stuff like that when I couldn't get it so it means a lot to me to give back to pay it forward I guess. I'm the same with clothes, shoes, towels (all kinds) and stuff like that. It does make a difference. When you used that brow gel, it reminded me of one that I tried to use but just was too clumsy to use it right, so I gave it to someone who knew how to use and would like to have it. Love your videos! :)
This GRWM is the reason I subscribed. I've seen a few videos of yours, but I sensed a feeling of vulnerability from you in this video when you talked about the Oprah podcast and it resonated with me. I felt so much of a similar vibe and it is so refreshing to hear a person on CZcams that has similar values. I don't expect you to see this since you have so many subscribers, but I hope you do and feel some positivity the same way I felt when I listened to this video.

I’m so sorry for your loss! They do become family. I’ve lost pets before and it drains you emotionally. Just remember self care and patience are key. Take care of yourself during your mourning and remember the good life your dog had. And be patient with yourself when you experience sadness and it becomes overwhelming! Give yourself time to feel whatever you need to feel, but remember to never stop moving forward ☺️ sending you lots of love!

Just out of curiousity, how did you two find Emily? I had picked up a free beauty magazine that had a little write up on 4 women who were "trail blazers" in the beauty & fashion world & Emily was showcased for her videos. Up until then I had only watched CZcams when my kids were showing me something. Then I found that article....& a monster was born...lol. My kids were then teens & I rediscovered makeup after being a SAHM for many years. I figure Too Faced, Urban Decay, & the whole gang owe Emily a whole lot of commission! 😄

I just found her tonight and I'm already thinking where has she been all my life. I love her, she is so different and so real compare to all the other youtubers. She just popped up on my home page and I was intrigued because of the RT brushes. But, just listening to how she talks and how describes everything is amazing.

Emily I would LOVE for you to review Sephora brand brushes. I love a couple of their eyeshadow brushes but I’ve never tried any face brushes & I hear they’re fantastic.

Overall the Sephora face brushes are excellent quality. I've had a few misses from different brushes, but those were in weird packaging. I'm not explaining that well at all. Lol The Sephora Pro brushes are on par with other high end brands. I've had some of my Sephora Pro brushes for over a decade. I take good care of them, and they've lasted! I hope this helps. :)
I’d like a review too. I went in store to buy a few brushes but they were expensive. I didn’t get them because I hadn’t heard enough about them to fork over that much cash. $40 for a brush that looked like a crease brush but was bigger.

I don't know what essence uses in their mascaras but I swear they last forever! And they have some of the most inexpensive and best mascaras in my opinion, they're my go to for mascara!

You are so right about people complaining! Everyone has hard times but I feel like a lot of youtubers complain about the smallest, most insignificant things that really makes them seem ungrateful for everything they are extremely fortunate to have. Thank you so, so much for not falling into this trend.
I feel like all the drug store brands are getting more and more expensive and I'm not feeling it. Even if the new products are of better quality, it's hard to get away from their initial price point, for me, anyway.

I've noticed that too all new drugstore mascara are $8+ and the new foundations like $15.
The problem is that the high end brands are getting more and more expensive too. The other day I picked up a Dior liquid lip at the airport for 24£. I remember when these were in high teens (especially at the airport where it's 20% cheaper) and now all of them are 20+. The annoying thing is the product is quite crap, so I won't get a lot of use out of it. :(
Just like Emily mentioned, I was quite shocked to see the pricing on some of Elfs newest products, I can't speak to the quality but geeeeez, I never expected that brands prices to be so dang high! Beauty products in general are getting ridiculously expensive... good ole supply and demand:/

I was looking for brushes at Ulta just this morning and I came home with no brushes. Ulta was out of stock on several and I just could not pay so much money for RT. Just a few more bucks and I can get Sephora brushes.
Which again with all the other drug store brands that are raising prices, most folks will probably put in a few more dollars and get the name brand that we would really rather have. The only bright point about the drugstore brands are coupons and sales!😃

IndigobluBeauty there is simply so much genuineness and class with Emily. She was my first CZcamsr. Literally, I rarely watched CZcams. She remains as fantastic as ever. She and Kristin Gehm were the first two and continue to be the top for me. They haven't changed. If Emily says it's good, I'll buy it. She should be a spokesperson on a zillion brands!
Years after watching you, you are still the CZcamsr I trust the most. I know when you are doing a review that you are being honest and giving me pros and cons alike. I feel that there are too many CZcamsrs who will say anything positive for a buck. Thank you for all your quality videos and reviews!

From last year and then forward from there, I've unsubscribed from a lot channels, feeds, subscriptions etc because of that. I had to laugh at your little ones nickname story. When my youngest daughter was a baby we used to call her Punkin, my son who is 2 years older couldn't say Punkin, he used to say Munkin which got us all calling her Munkin. Well fast forward to now, she's going to be 17 and my son still calls her Munkin and she still responds to it LOL
Susan Rodriguez my nic for my son was pumpkin head. It was our code word so he knew it was me. Came in handy when I had an injury and asked a nurse to call him to say someone else was picking him from school that day. It makes me smile hearing nics.

I especially loved what you said about showing gratitude and all of the things that seem to be going on on Twitter with CZcamsrs to & about their followers. I swear every single time I watch one of your videos I sit here and think “this is why she’s my favorite”. 😍 l absolutely love RT brushes and I’m excited to try some of these new ones, especially the eyeshadow duo. I have small, hooded eyes so it’s difficult to find brushes that I really like. I’m also going to have to buy the lip set - the colors are gorgeous! I feel like the W&W setting spray is VERY SIMILAR to the UD all Nighter. They even smell the same! I’ve recently begun spraying my face w/either of these before my foundation & it gives my makeup extra longevity. I don’t use it as a last step.
Allyson Sixx I love the Wet n Wild setting spray! My makeup looks so much better AND lasts longer when I use it.

I also like the wnw one. I've never tried the UD one. I haven't tried putting it on before foundation yet but I do like it for if my foundation looks cakey I spray it on and go over it with a damp sponge, totally fixes it and keeps it in place.

I’ve been feeling the same way about negativity except I’ve noticed it in myself. I walk away from conversations thinking why was I complaining so much? Why was I so negative? So I’m trying not to get sucked into that way of thinking but it’s a challenge.
Emily, I have been with you since the beginning and everyday I am more proud of you. Nowadays CZcams is clustered with new comers and sellouts that would do anything for a quick buck and drama. I think this look came out great! I will have to check out those eye brushes but I like my MODA dupe brushes for the face. I think that your positivity and maturity is one of the things that separates you and an handful of other CZcamsrs from the rest. It is so refreshing when a comment section is full of wonderful and uplifting people instead of people just ripping each other to pieces.

Halfway through, I feel this also is making me feel happy! I really enjoy you sharing your ideas and thoughts that just come out of nowhere! I been thinking, social media IS a lot of negativity lately, because we all are worried and see it’s a big time of change. I have dealt with this by talking about things I LOVE, not “ranting “ all the time. And enjoying and noting the small things really died help.

I really love the way you talk about your daughters. My son is 10 and I was a very young parent and not perfect by far,but my daughter is now a year and half and I'm much older and in a better place in my life and I'm trying so hard to be the mother I always wish my mom would have been, but also be the mom I'm meant to be as myself. Everyday tho I feel like there's something I could have done better or been more understanding and im also trying to fix the wrongs in my sons life. I like the small shadow brush for metallics on the lid. The taper seems to do a good job of picking up product.

Thanks especially for the pressed powder blush demo with the new blush brush! My mom asked for a new "better" (i.e. one that's better than the one that comes in her Clinique compact, but not so domed that she feels like she can't apply precisely) for Christmas. Knowing that's she's unlikely to start using a loose powder product, I'm glad to see how it works with pressed powder, too. I think she'll actually like the density, and hopefully the angle, as well!

I always love love love your eyeshadow because it looks great with your eye shape, but I was wondering, could you do a grwm trying a cut crease or some other out of your comfort zone looks? I would just love to see you do something really different, and I think you would do an amazing job! Maybe some graphic eyeliner that goes into the crease or something really editorial. On another note, I've been wanting to try some new real techniques, but their prices have creeped up so much that I'm just going to throw in a few more dollars and get some It brushes. I still love the orange sponges though!
Stuff I'm not fond of in my makeup collection gets taken to the shelters. I'm not talking about sending crap that is impossible to use, but stuff that I'm not a fan of (not skilled enough to use or it looks wonky on me). I know I was always thrilled when someone gave me stuff like that when I couldn't get it so it means a lot to me to give back to pay it forward I guess. I'm the same with clothes, shoes, towels (all kinds) and stuff like that. It does make a difference. When you used that brow gel, it reminded me of one that I tried to use but just was too clumsy to use it right, so I gave it to someone who knew how to use and would like to have it. Love your videos! :)
This GRWM is the reason I subscribed. I've seen a few videos of yours, but I sensed a feeling of vulnerability from you in this video when you talked about the Oprah podcast and it resonated with me. I felt so much of a similar vibe and it is so refreshing to hear a person on CZcams that has similar values. I don't expect you to see this since you have so many subscribers, but I hope you do and feel some positivity the same way I felt when I listened to this video.

I’m so sorry for your loss! They do become family. I’ve lost pets before and it drains you emotionally.
Just remember self care and patience are key. Take care of yourself during your mourning and remember the good life your dog had. And be patient with yourself when you experience sadness and it becomes overwhelming! Give yourself time to feel whatever you need to feel, but remember to never stop moving forward ☺️ sending you lots of love!
