The Voidoids had a sporadic existence since '78, the year Marky joined the Ramones. It IS him in the movie, he volunteered to do it during some down time from the Ramones.
so great that such an excellent quality video of this exists. my favorite voidoids song. i have heard the movie itself is dreadful but at least we got this out of it!
He started with many bands in the city, also played for Wayne/Jayne County before the Void Oids. He was a very nice, funny as hell guy before Ramones. His twin was the bad seed, freddy, oy.
But that's him playing here, it totally looks and sounds like him; besides, he might have needed the gig, Ramones weren't making fortunes till many years later.
Richard hell a poet punk with a Bass,Bob Dylan with Full energy
Such a great band. Hell was also a great bassist as this video demonstrates.
Richard Hell is great in Bass and cool
He'll can't play bass any better than Sid Visious Bob and Ivam covered over that lack and Marc
He was a good frontal
I loved the Voidoids still
@@monkfistlust Nonsense. Hell is a thousand times better than Sid Vicious.
It's weird seeing Robert Quine without the sunglasses. I'd never seen him without them before I saw this clip-it doesn't even look like him.

He was still in the band then, I know because I was there.
Hes crushing it with those bluesy punk bass riffs
He talked of this in his book. He's right they were on point
looks like they were doing a soundcheck before the club opened

Hell forgetting the lyrics as usual. Brilliant.
This should settle it once and for all - Void Oids Rule OK!!!
This is post Mark Bell. He was already in the Ramones when this video was made.
It's Marky on the drums for sure. He really looks like when he was in The Ramones in 1980. He must've done a special role on the video.
+proibidoanimais NOT a special role ? Marc Bell a.k.a Marky Ramone was the original drummer of the Void Oids .
Marky Ramone !? :-)

it's Marky Ramone
The Cole Porter of punk.
In retrospect, I think Richard’s music may have been a tad too clever for the genre.
Everyone who copied his look ended up looking like a dork haha
Where's the fucking guitar solo? What a disappointment!
