I don’t actually follow a ton of beauty youtubers, so I don’t catch every tutorial posted. I meant in amongst the drama, it was refreshing to see a familiar face talking about makeup on my screen 🤷♀️💖

Tacky primer
Foundation w/ damp beauty sponge
Concealer (same damp sponge)
Set under-eye w/ powder & sponge
Set face w/ powder & sponge
Set face w/ powder with brush
Use setting spray 14:00
Apply bronzer w/ brush
Bake face w/ sponge for 2+ mins
Apply blush w/ brush 19:15
Add under-eye powder & T-zone w/ brush
W/ sponge add more face powder to stamp out contour & then brush to swoop excess
Use brush for highlight
Use setting spray 21:50
Add more highlight w/ brush & press into skin w/ sponge
Add bottom mascara & lip

in my opinion, Jaclyn seems the most genuinely PASSIONATE about makeup than all these other beauty gurus. like everyone else is good w makeup but they don't talk about it thoroughly enough for their audience to understand like she does. i feel like we can tell she loved makeup so much and is such a perfectionist w it.
Morphe should really invest in making a “touch up” kit with a small beauty sponge and mini setting spray. I’d love that!!
and the spray can be refillable!
Just get those items and put it in a mini makeup bag lol. They’ll tax the shit out of it.
Sometimes I don’t want to carry a full size so a small setting spray would be nice. It’s just an idea! To each their own💕

Did u use the same powders and sprays she did too? I'm in my 30's, work all day, and momma's face looks awful by the end of the day! 😭 Even with the all nighter setting spray, it still settles in my lines and everything!
@@meglove6214 I'm 34 and no I used a Clinique powder and kkw powder under my eyes. I also baked my nose because that is where my foundation breaks up. But I did this before and it turned out crappy but when I followed the techniques Jaclyn did my skin looked bomb. I realized I was using a full coverage foundation that I didn't need so I used concealer as my foundation and I used it all over my skin. I didn't use a thick one either. The older you get the less you use. But I used a very thin layer of powder and keep pressing and pouncing it into my skin. Then I didn't use a shit ton of setting spray. I notice when I do that it makes my skin look bad. So I only used enough to melt the powder. I actually used the maybellline fit me powder to clean up my contour and I don't use a blinding highlighter because it makes my skin texture look worse. Idk if that helped you. Oh the concealers I used were L'Oreal infallible pro glow and LA girl concealer.

This is probably one of the most informative videos for makeup I've seen in a while. I have oily skin and getting stuff to stay on all day, especially this time of year, is so damn challenging.
PRODUCTS USED + Jac tips:
Primer: Sisley
Tzone primer: Sisley (pore minimizing) *also mentions dr Brandt pore minimizing primer as a great alternative*
Foundation: too faced born this way (medium-full coverage + oil free)
Foundation “brush”: *damp* morphe beauty sponge *press into skin really well to fill in pores & apply another layer if you feel necessary*
Concealer: tarte shape tape (do not use anything TOO creamy with too much oil or sheer bc it moves around and will not last all day, you can use a small amount of any thicker concealer if you’re going for a more natural look)
*make sure you blend really well around your nose with sponge*
Undereye powder: Kat von d shade + light palette *just a small amount to prevent creasing* (she used lightest shade)
Powder to set face: Hourglass veil translucent setting powder *good for dry skin* (do not be afraid to use powder if you have dry skin, you just need to find the powder that works best for you, Jaclyn also has dry/normal skin) *cover fx perfect setting powder is an awesome powder recommended by Jaclyn for OILY skin*
Powder for a flawless face: small amount of charlotte tilbury with a brush
Setting spray: morphe setting spray (make sure it’s oil free for a mid makeup set) + pat over with beauty sponge *this step prevents caking & you can add more powder/spray as necessary*
Bronzer: morphe icon *big fluffy brush*
Baking powder: cover fx perfect setting powder (don’t bake too low under contour or it defeats the purpose, bake around nose to define, press a lot of powder around corners of nose to prevent caking) *2-20 mins when baking, the longer you bake the longer your makeup will last - also the longer bake is better for oily skin - dry skin can bake for a long time too, just make sure you set really well with setting spray + beauty sponge*
JACLYNS *TOUCH UP* TIP - spray beauty sponge with a setting spray (like tatcha dewy setting spray) and pat into skin to refresh - can apply bronzer, blush, powder, highlight after this step as necessary
Blush: Mac cosmetic peaches (put a good amount *when you think you’re done, do an extra layer* bc blush fades first)
powder finishing touch: kat von d (lightest shade) *sweep under eye and along tops of blush to brighten and blend and to brighten in other areas)
Contour clean up: Charlotte tilburry
Highlight: Lancôme absolute powder with beauty sponge
Setting spray: morphe (keep face still to prevent creasing)
*highlight pop* apply same highlighter right after spraying a setting spray to intensify

Helen Miller I think one of her shadows in the collar she had with morphe might be it. If not I do know some similar brands with a bright orange like this. Juvias place warrior pallette, and lime crime I believe has a neon singles collection the neon orange is a little brighter but I’m sure if you mix it with any burnt orange color it would be a lewk

This was so helpful.. I spent most of my life doing makeup so simply just foundation, powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara.. I've really enjoyed the Peanut Gallery in the background the last few videos; makes it feel more like friends just hanging out.
Videos like these are why I started watching tutorials in the first place. It was so informative and I'm gonna try a few of the tips because I think it would help the overall look (and longevity, obviously) of my makeup. I used to be a powder fiend, but I got out of using it so much the last couple years. I thought it was drying me out, but since I've started a better skincare routine, maybe it won't be as bad now.
Omg as an oily skin person, my jaw literally fell open when she said “if you’re oily and don’t SUFFER with dry skin” I can’t wear foundation period because my oils will wipe everything off 😫

She has said multiple times in other videos that it is trial and error for your skin. Hers is complex but it works for her and might not work for others. As well a lot of her products are out of some peoples price ranges and she has gotten a lot of flack for having "too expensive skin care"

For oily skin:
Put a mattifying primer then a translucent loose powder on before applying foundation.
Once the face is finished apply a light coverage of loose powder on again to set it.
For combo skin:
requires more than just one primer to the face. One mattifying primer needs to be applied to the oily areas. Another primer needs to be added where the areas are dry or normal.

Thank you for the tips about the using powders, setting spray and then going back in the the damp beauty sponge to push it all in if it looks cakey. I seem to have this problem, every time i attempt those steps. I am very new to the makeup experience and your videos have helped me so much. You take the time to explain. So THANK YOU.
