This was my FAVOURITE album when I was in my early teens. Even though I had emotional blindness at the time, and the meanings of songs were often lost on me. I typically paid no attention to lyrics; what drew me to music was the mood or sound of it, not what they were saying. It seemed irrelevant to me.
I was thinking of this song the other day and I ended up binging the album. This song has become my jam and my personal pep-talk. Now that my emotional blindness has massively improved, I "get" songs because I can understand there is emotion behind it, and the language describing it falls into place. I fell in love with the album again because the lyrics are real and clear, and now the songs mean something--they mean what they were always supposed to, but I couldn't interpret.

From 87 - 00 i had no music taste as a 13 yrs old.
From 01-07 i had an era with punk rock with Avril, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Blink, Feeder etc
From 08-14 i had an added spell of hi hop, drum and bass and british indie rock pop etc.
Since then i had no spell....some tunes here and there sure but i never prepared any playlist of 60 songs i listen to for a year or so. I rather come back for old ones.
I guess everybody has songs that remind them that time just flies by.....i can see myself listening to this in my 50s and shedding tears, reminiscing about my younger days when life was simple and i still had hopes and dreams.

I went to her aaaaaammmaaazing concerts in Las Vegas when I was 5 or 6 yrs old after moving from Alaska and not seeing any concerts really in my life.. she not only sang every song she played guitar, paino, she played drums while singing.. she is one of the very best there ever was and at 26 yrs old now I still stand to it... after hundreds of concerts now I still think she is what created my love for live music and incredible le strong women's lyrics..
