- Since I've owned this RYOBI 3 Gallon Wet/Dry Vac for over a year, I thought I’d make a quick video about it. So in this video, I’ll go over some quick pros and cons, and then let you know if I’m glad I bought this thing.

SPOT ON! I've had mine for maybe 5 years now, and everything you mentioned is accurate. The hose is too taut and doesn't give enough slack, the accessories fall off not only from the holders but also the hose end and quite annoying. Otherwise works well. Anyone with any suggestions, I would appreciate hearing them.
I have about 40 Ryobi One Plus tools, and this vacuum has surprised me by being my number one go-to tool
Glad you've found good use with it too -- thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. I wish Ryobi would have made this dual power - battery and plug- like their one fan is. That would be a better idea. Because mostly I would plug it in and probably 25% of the time it would be on battery power. Great video. I’d love to see more from you on your other tools.
Most of the tasks I use it for are pretty small, but I can see the dual power being very helpful for those tackling bigger jobs. Thanks for the kind words.
loved the video !
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
It’s a great vac for what it is’
Like other tools
There’s a right tool for the job’
This isn’t a regular shop vac it’s for small jobs’ so far like mine
I’ve had mine for over 6 years, I can honestly say it’s my “go to” tool in my Ryobi arsenal. I agree with all your pros & cons. I see that Ryobi will be releasing a smaller 1 gallon size soon. Thanks for sharing?
Yeah, the vac is still going strong for me. If I ever need to replace it, I'll take a look at the 1g version.
@@AboutaMinuteVideos i had a look at the 1gal side by side with the 3 gal. there's more options with the 3 gal and its about the same weight and only slightly bigger for the 3gal. unless the absolute smallest size is needed i believe the 3gal is better than the 1gal.. this is just based on observations at the store without running the tools
I've had mine 5 years and been used for dry and wet (remember to remove filter). Had to chop the end off the hise as went brittle, but still going strong. I would buy another if it ever broke.
Glad to hear you're getting good use out of it.
i got one from direct tools it got heavy use both wet and dry it fizzled out after about a year but for 40 recon well worth it, i liked it sits on top of a ladder good versus small round ones not top heavy
I have several dozen Ryobi tools but this vacuum is my favorite, as well as second most used tool, (leaf blower is most used...as in every day). If you are looking for a smaller vacuum have a look at the Worx Cube vac. Disclaimer: The Worx is nowhere near as powerful as the Ryobi, it's overpriced and the OEM batteries are too expensive but for really small jobs that don't require a ton of suction it's awesome.
Thanks for the tips! I'll keep the worx in mind, though I usually try to stay w/ stuff that can use the ryoboi batteries I already have.
@@AboutaMinuteVideos I'm the same way, I have a ton of Dewalt stuff along with Makita, Bosch, etc. but I like the idea of staying on one battery platform so I've gone almost completely Ryobi One+.
Excellent and helpful vid
Glad you liked it
You seem like a fun guy to hang out around
Ha, thanks -- and thanks for watching!
I wonder how the duration would be with larger batteries. I like the idea of this vac because of the price point and purpose
Good question. I've never had to worry about batteries too much with it 'cuz I just use it around the house/garage.
Huh this seem like it be handy. I have a hand vacuum but would like something a little larger. I own a few ryobi products myself and use around house, nothing major. But cleaning out car something that's more mobile than shop vac but have more space than a hand vacuum what i want. This looks like might be my best bet.
Hi. Ryobi now has a 1 gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum that might be perfect for cleaning out cars.
I live in Australia and mine cost $199 from Bunnings and certainly didn't come with a battery!
everything is pricer down under!
@@jethrohahaain’t that the truth!
I use it to clean places where there's no electricity connection hookup.
Yeah, it comes in handy for situations like that.
Time for a 2 years later Review?
U should buy adapter to ur vacuum make things easier for ur vacuum hoses
Thanks for the tip!
The Kirby vacuum adaptors fit this ass well cause I've got the Kirby adapter fits I'm using it I call it a HACK in new Zealand this vacuum been discontinued so I brought the 1 on display
how does it do with water?
Hi. I've used it for minor tasks w/o issue. Here's a video from WorkshopAddict where this feature is put to the test: czcams.com/video/WjLnlWI-QvU/video.html
cons: Finding a replacement filter.
Looks like they have them at Home Depot: www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-18V-3-Gal-Wet-Dry-Vacuum-Replacement-Filter-for-Model-P3240-A32VC05/305180927
not a good vacuum. Regular 1-1/4 attachments aren't compatible with the end nozzle of this vaccum and they're just loose all the time and fall off. such a dumb design by Ryobi. moreover, you have to t purchase third party accessories because Ryobi doesn't have any compatible attachments.
Nothing a 3D printer can’t fix to make adapters or your own attachments
how does it do with water?
Here's a guy testing that: czcams.com/video/WjLnlWI-QvU/video.htmlsi=OeWsDw-iVyR9qCtv&t=243
