Considering a Woodmizer WM4500? Hear me out first

  • I say electric over hydraulic but meant only electric motor. Was thinking of something else on a woodmizer not sure why I said that. The 4500 uses electric motor only to raise the head up and down. Which is much slower than a hydraulic cylinder moved head. My head from bottom to top takes 5 seconds. A 4500 takes 8.7-9 seconds.
Many factors go into buying a sawmill. Things to consider are legit production rates for your set up.
What it cost to get those bf per hour have many factors.
You can get a setup like mine for $50000-100000 less than a 4500. With little too no difference in production numbers in matching setups.
For a 4500 to make since it would need to be able to produce enough lumber over the super 70. To cover the initial investment upfront. Along with getting 3 phase installed. Your blade cost is also higher on a 4500.
Don’t get me wrong I want to install a 4500 now. But I know it wouldn’t put more money in my pocket.

At fresh oak the 10/30 is better, at 1,27mm Blade...
I Test them, in circle... To lern for what Thing, what Blade the best, fastest, ore easyist...
But the next i will Bye, is 7/47 Turbo, 1,4mm the Same you Drive, in Double hard Quality...
I Hope, i become bevor for Testing 10/30 1,4mm Blades, To can finde the differences between 1,27mm and 1,4mm ...
      But If i will have, 1,4mm, 1 must Bye 100m - 22 Blades....
Ore my Buddy from north, in east Germany, Spend To my Blades for my Tests with 1,4mm, he ist one of a little circle, that Use 1,4mm Blades...
      So , I Hope, i can became 1 / 2 Blades for Testing the 1,4mm before I am the First in Europe with 1,4mm 7/47 Blades ...

      Now, We Run the 7/34 - 1,27mm
It's at the LT 70 Same, If you Drive with 40% of Optimum Speed, and 25% Power...
But, It is well suited to educate and train new sawmill personnel, and hard dry wood, which is difficult to saw...
Tomorrow We saw more oak, than, Test the next...

Not certain yet. Later this year I’m traveling to test mills that are not open to the public. I really want a 3 phase deal but it has to be fast
