      For sure.
It’s a common problem but hard to understand when your buying why and what is best.

It can be run in a a/c and heated room to!
Could you make a video on your top 3 things to maintain on the mill to produce the best quality lumber/slabs possible? I know blades are one, but other things as well.

Did you ever run the WB2000? I am trying to make the jump to a production setup smaller scale than a big mill, but more than what my LT40 will do. I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth the extra money compared to the Super 70 wide. Also, I'm looking at a Baker Dominator setup as well. Thanks for all your information it has given me a lot to think about.

I have never personally ran a WB 2000 but I have ran the new WM 4500 and from what I’ve been told the 4500 has a faster head than the 2000. The selling point for the 4500 or 2000 is for bigger logs all the time.. if you’re sewing logs majority of the time under 20 inches a super 70 is faster than both 4500 & 2000. The super 70 head is fully hydraulic, whereas the other two are electric. In most scenarios, I see a super 70 Will back people up if they don’t have a flawless set up to handle material.

A Baker denominator will cut faster than a super 70 going through bigger logs.

I have watched you now for several months. We are getting a wm 4500… has that model interested you compared to the lt 70?

    • @americandream_89
      @americandream_89  Před 2 lety +1

Yes! I went and ran one as soon as they came out. Really like so much about it. The one flaw I couldn’t stand was the electric head. It felt like I was running the original lt70. I probably debate putting one in every week. But I think the only two factors it would benefit me was on really big grade logs and fuel cost. Other than that I can out saw one with ease.

Honestly, I would totally believe that. Basically the same machines. I really love your in depth looks at the lt 70. I sure hope wood mizer has learned a thing or two from you!

@@allischalmer55 Woodmizer has been great to work with. They have also truly went above and beyond in so many situations. You will love that 4500 it’s a great rig. Far superior to the older 3000-4000 series. It’s much more robust than the super 70 along with your able to hydraulically move logs either direction on rollers. Auto blade tension is sweet too. It was really cool using the automatic hmi to know beginning and end of log. As in you don’t need to button bump either end of the log just push the joystick back and forth. Like I said I think about getting one a lot.

Hey, wonder if you can help me out again.
We are experiencing issues with the saw slowing down and we think it’s hydraulic pressure.
Have you had anything like that happen before.?
Engine was checked over and is ok.
    Thanks

How do you know you’re losing hydraulic pressure? When you say slowing down explain that

@@americandream_89 hi. My sawyer described it as the machine is running very sluggish.
We think we ruled out a lot of other issues, changed the hydraulic filter and now thinking do we need to run new fluid through the system.
      Woodmizer didn’t know too much.
Was just wondering if you had seen something similar before. But recognize I’m being a bit vague
