  • What to do when the windows won’t go up all the way. (It’s the relay)

My top wouldn't go up or down. It wouldn't do anything. It was suggested that the top relay sometimes sticks. Pull it out, tap it on a hard surface 5 or 6 times, re-install it and try it. It worked!!!!

@@TheWidebody747 that’s awesome. I think I had a similar issue because by taking out the relay and putting it back in it worked. There’s just so many switches.

Where is the relay located? What needs(if anything) to be removed to get it out? When the top is lowered the windows go down about 3 inches. That’s where they stay when you put the top back up. Yes I can get them up with the door key but they won’t stay that way. With the top down, everything works.

The relay is in the fuse box on the left side of the footwell. I had that problem for a while and it just went away. Pulling relay out and back in might help because it makes better contact. Could also be a flakey or sign of a failing sensor. Temperature changes and weather can effect these things. There’s so many switches it’s hard to troubleshoot

I might add a note that my windows did go all the way up when the top was down so it wasn’t a window cable issue.
