I’d feel pretty bad if someone melted their board based on my video. This is one of those things that takes time and requires a lot of focus or you can ruin things in an instant. I put the DME back in the car and so far it runs great. Just need some more testing to make sure it solved the stall issue. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video! Cleaning the solder tip and keeping it tinned will help melt solder joints quicker, just an FYI to save you time. A maintained soldering iron could do half that board in probably 30min. I recommend the steer wool type soldering cleaners and use a dab of fresh solder after every cleaning. Cheers 🤙
Thanks for sharing your insight and experience. Very helpful! Just one question... "Are you responsible for my screwups? 😉

I guess I tend to repeat myself. Most things are pretty tame but a lost computer is $$$

I think can help but in the end I bought the updated electronic board from F9 and have been happy with it.
Thank you 🙏🏼
You are welcome. I hope this helps.
So was the dme the culprit in the end?
Yes it was but I choose to have mine replaced with an updated F9 tech DME.
