OUR ODISSI ODYSSEY | DHANYA | VIDHYA | NADINA | KALYAN PALLAVI

Dhanya, Vidhya, Nadina are part of a bigger group of students in the 90's who were mesmerized by the Odissi Dance style when they first saw me dance it at the TFA - the 2nd generation of the creme de la creme! They were the teenagers who were curious and eager to discover more. They had the best of training from every Guru who was appointed by Swamiji, and not only did they take it on and perform Odissi Internationally, they are equally good dancers in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Contemporary dance, as well folk styles. Dhanya and Vidhya are professional doctors serving their country and they fulfill their own needs through the arts. Dhanya teaches Kathak and contemporary dance too.
Nadina is a full-time dancer, Kathak Teacher, and a special soul one indeed. Vidhya and Nadina are married and have children too. While they have all grown up together, this REUNION brought back so many memories of the golden years of that era of innocence and motivation. The joy of dancing!!
Together, they chose to perform the Kalyan Pallavi, as their favourite work and joy. They had studied it many, many years back from Geetha S Lam.
