I am currently working on disassembling my steering column, and I believe the ignition switch sector and rack gears are needing replaced. How do I get into that from where your video stops disassembly?

Thanks for all of the how-to videos. I would love to see you guys install the scout II airlift gate kit for the travel top. I have hit a snag with my own sourced parts. Your brackets look different but I am In Canada. To order your kit, the total $ would be outrageous…Thanks

I have a 77 scout how does the steering rod connect to by the ingintion switch( electrical switch)

How do you center up the spline so it’s at 12oclock, mines at about 3 o’clock

If you don’t want to make your own tool, buy the Powerbuilt steering wheel lock plate remover (about $20) with the 9/16 head. It will thread directly on and the prongs will push back the plate to expose the ring. This will also give you WAY more room than the square tube to get that pesky ring off. If you want to make your own similar to in the video DONT use 1” tube as he states. He is mistaken and probably using 1.5” square tube (ask me how I know). 1” square tube will not give you enough room to get the ring off as it will almost be touching both sides of the inside of the tube.
