  • Window view from Alrosa Airlines Tupolev Tu-154M registration RA-85684 (of Izhma fame) during approach and landing into Mirny (MJZ) in the Sakha Republic, Russia. Operating flight 6R592 from Novosibirsk Tolmachevo (OVB) on 17th September 2018. This was my last of several flights on the mighty RA-85684, which is now preserved at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport.

The video is excellent, no doubt. But I always wonder what fun do you, guys, see in cutting such videos?

@@sightsandsoundsofaviation probably, you just didn't understand, what I had written. But okay. I didn't ask why to make the window view videos, at all. I just can't get the reason to cut some moments. The video was made in 2018, I think there were possibilities to make full descending, landing, taxiing and stop engines, that's it. Some moments were edited, and because of this some beautiful moments of sound were lost. I don't criticize the author of video, I just wonder why all authors prefer to edit, to cut what they make. But, despite what I wrote, the video got my thumb up.

@@user-hd1ew9id6z I would love to put full videos on here, but there are several reasons why I don't. Firstly, people are not interested, except people like you and Daniel. I have spent entire afternoons watching Daniel's full videos, but people in general have very short attention spans and do not watch long videos. Also, in some countries I am told not to film and therefore have to stop and start recording often in order to avoid undue attention and trouble. Another issue is battery life, especially when travelling around Russia, sometimes 2-3 days on aircraft and in airports, without being able to fully recharge batteries in a hotel.
