    Hello Im Lance (aka Bundy Bear) and doing these videos is my hobby. I do own Queensland Tractor Spares in Australia where I sell parts and offer technical advise to customers.
    Parts seen in our videos can be purchased from www.queenslandt...
    We have a lot more than we can offer on our web site available to us and in our store. If you dont see what you would like please email info@queenslandtractorspares.com.au and we will help where we can.
    I do try and help with technical advise at bundybearsshed@gmail.com if you have a question or are having trouble with your project.

    Thank you very much for this video. It saved me a lot of time on a 3130 I have. Very informative video. Thanks John from Ireland

    Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos, just pulled the cylinder from my 86 year old neighbor's tractor for repair.

    Thanks Lance for a great video 👍
    I've done the reseal on a JD1140 and a JD3040 earlier this year, they have similar lift cylinders.
    The test of the surge-relief-valve and the test in the press was super 🙂
    Keep up the good work, cheers

    First, I would like to comment that this hydraulic cylinder series is top notch. I have been referring to it for a JD 2020 and you have been a great hep. Showing how to test the cylinder showed I had a defective check ball.
    You mentioned a video on putting this back into the housing, adjusting and I assume tricks for installing the cover. Where is it? I looked this all your video and don't see it.

      I still have the tractor apart after all this time. Im wanting to get into the gearbox but I just have not had time to get onto it.

      @@BundyBearsShed Ok. Thank you for responding. I understand how a project can be put on the back burner for years. Been there. I want to say again, your coverage on the JD rockshaft cylinder is the best on the internet. Very detailed.

    Good one Lance still a little confused on how it actually works but it will become apparent when it goes back in the tractor. John

    I have a 2030 (us vintage) and this series has been really useful. Thank you so much for these. Is there by chance a video in the works on assembly of the rockshaft and any adjustments needed? Best regards

    Hi Lance. My John Deere mechanic calls the transmission cover "The Turkey". He is an older french eccentric kind of guy with many phrases and expressions. Also I just checked the weather. Its minus 15 C here in western canada and Bundaberg is 28 degrees. Its time to throw another stick on the fire.

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před 3 lety

      Not heard the turkey but minus 15 C is way too cold, Im not sure how you all keep working in that. Grab a couple of sticks for the fire I reckon.

      @@BundyBearsShed Try putting on two or three layers of sweat pants, two shirts preferably sweaters, another jacket over top, two socks on each foot and work boots, wrap a t shirt around your head, oven mitts, then jump into your freezer for a bit. Thats how it is.

    Thank you so much for these detailed videos, they are great. Is this lift cylinder, cover plate similar to the JD 2150. I have a 2150 and my 3 point falls slowly with an implement once I turn the tractor off. Thanks.

    My cylinder has a big scratch that I think goes even bellow the seals range of movement. My mechanic told me that if I seal it up with a new seal it will only work normally for a short period of time and that it's probably difficult to recondition the cylinder without making the seal not work normally, which would require a new piston that doesn't exist.. Is this true ? Can't you just use a seal that's a bit thicker ? Is this true or is he just trynna make some easy green ... The scratch is deep enough that you can easily feel it with your fingers though, so maybe he's right.. Thanks!

    • @BundyBearsShed
      @BundyBearsShed  Před 3 lety

      Your mechanic is correct, without the support of the cylinder the seal will not last all that long. A good second hand cylinder may be an option.

    Good video! Thanks I'm having trouble with the piston on the 2650, I removed it and put new seals on. I have not yet managed to mount the piston in the cylinder. The seal strays. I tried it with a piston ring clamp. How does the assembly work correctly?

    Buy a new one, dont test it though, generally as soon as they have poped off they wont hold pressure, bad design that one
