    9 games, as there are only 9 mainline Yakuza games. If you like their work it goes even deeper with post post 6 but before 8 Kiryu spinoff - Gaiden (Man Who Erased His Name), samurai spinoffs - Ishin and Kenzan (sadly never localized), detective spinoffs - Judgment and Lost Judgment, silly zombie shooter - Dead Souls (PS3 only) and even licensed anime spinoff - Fist of the North Star.

    I have literally never heard anyone make that comparison, because anyone who knows even the first thing about both franchises would know that they're extremely different in terms of game design, tone, and theming.

      You'd be surprised, when I explain the game to someone with no prior knowledge, the most common response is "Oh so it's Japanese GTA" and I'm just like NOO
