Happy Friday! 🎉 Have you been to any of these spots before? Was I the only one who missed out?! Let me know your recommendations for my next trip! 😎
@seerasan trying the suspicious gatcha. Local Japanese people be like: yabai na…..majide…. Hahahaha kidding aside though those really look very sketchy
Welcome to Osaka my living town😃
Yes we have certainly been to Den Den Town. I’ve spent a few hours in Super Potato, there is also a really great second hand CD store too if you are into that sort of thing. maps.app.goo.gl/9fg18k5TifKALhXQ6?g_st=ic
Cafe Moto is great to sit and watch the Herons fish. Keep up the good work! 👍
@seerasan I tried those Sus Gatcha on my last trip for a youtube video. There is nothing too bad from what I got. Out of the 5 Gatcha that I bought there was one pair of underwear but they were brand new/unused and the rest were small sex toys like mini Tenga etc. I expected it to be much worse.
Also, on your next visit, I recommend Namba Yasaka-jinja, it's a shrine shaped like the head of a lion.
Would love to have a beach trip video, somewhere other than Okinawa. Maybe you know a cool hidden beach spot to throw on the bikini and take us along as our BEST AUSSIE TOUR GUIDE! 🙌🏻
You're my fave channel about Japan right now. Used to be Sharla and Emma but their posting is kind of erratic so thank you for posting consistently! Pls continue what you're doing, you're gonna get big!
same :)
Same here, I know Emma still streams a lot but I don't really watch too many streams. I just prefer the edited down 10-30 minute videos on CZcams instead
+1 i discovered this channel last weekend and watched all videos... Her energy is amazing
SAME!!!
Osaka will always be in my heart! 関西gang!
Great thing about Osaka you can take day trips to Kyoto, Kobe & Nara … less than an hour train
That anime store got me stuck for HOURS! Also I stumbled across those blacked out gotchas, got 2 pairs of undies (clean still in wrapping) and a squish boob 😂
That was one of my favorite places when I went so much stuff to do! I also left my phone on the top floor of that gotcha store for 2 hours and it was still there when I went back 🤣🤣
Much love from Arizona 💜💜
regarding hanafuda, nintendo as a company got their start doing those cards in the late 1800s
Yes!! I was excited to try it because of the history.. to my surprise it’s a really challenging card game to learn because of all the different rules & sets 😂 may take quite a few rounds till I become a bit confident haha
As a Japanese person who lives in Osaka for over 30 years, you definitely went to the right places.
Hozenji yokocho and Kitahama area etc.
That Buddha bowl looked amazing! Will def keep Optimus in mind!
Also, side note but your hair suits you soooo good 💫
Highly, highly recommend it! Forgot to mention in the video, but it's English friendly too :)
Thank youu!!!! 🫶🩷
I was in Osaka last year, but after visiting Tsutenkaku and Shinsekai, I walked past Den Den Town to return to my hotel in Dotonbori. Now I wish I had stayed a little longer.
The area near Hozenji Temple almost makes me want to go back to Osaka! (We were very disappointed by the city)
Thanks for showing us this other side of Osaka.
Why were you disappointed? It’s the nightlife and food capital of the country right?? And aren’t the people supposed to be super friendly?
amazing 🇯🇵 ❤
I'll be visiting Japan next month and I'm very tempted to make a stop to Osaka now! Thanks~
For first timer, its best to do the golden route tokyo - kyoto - osaka - hiroshima. Enjoy!
I rarely go to Osaka but i gotta check these out
Seera. Aka common citizen 😊
Osaka is my favorite city in Japan, even more than Tokyo. It is not too big or crowded but still offers diversity and excitement; it is more affordable and with friendlier locals than Tokyo.
Thank you! I'm living in Osaka for school for a semester, and I'm excited to check out these places!
Amazing, you’ll have such a blast! Enjoy 😁💫
Great video , whats not to like . great energy , Awesome camera work, editing , commentary and a beautiful host . I am surprised you don't have 10 times as many subscribers
Thank you. That was very interesting. You look terrific.
You are such a fun and likable guide 💛 I think you and Emma should DEFINITELY go back and hit those risque gacha machines
I’m saving this video for my next trip to Osaka, especially the eating place at the river view 😍 Great video, thx
Going to Japan next year. Can't wait to explore these places. More, please. 😁
The back street always seek bettwr in Japan!! Loving the hair btw!!
osaka is such a nice change of pace compared to tokyo. you still get the shopping and tourist attractions as tokyo but not as busy and more laid back. I recommend people go to tokyo first and then end their trip in osaka because of this.
Ohhh I would love that visit that cooking ally area. ❤
セーラちゃん、いつも元気に日本を楽しんでるのがかわいい💓
It's amazing that you know and find such chill and calm places in such a wild and naughty city as Osaka! Really enjoying this new format of yours
Glad you like it! 🩷 It's my hobby & passion discovering areas when travelling, so constantly on the hunt for cool spots 👀
Very high production values in your new videos. You look better than ever!
I was just in Osaka for a few days but didn't get to explore much. Definitely will check out some of these spots next time!
I like how you try to eat healthy 😊🌱
Thank you 😊 When the cameras not rolling I eat pretty clean!
Great video!
I’ve been to Optimus Cafe before and love the Kitahama area 😀
Thank you for a wonderful introduction to Osaka
been to Osaka twice and now we have more reasons to go back!😍😂😂 yay!
This might be one of your loveliest little Japan adventures yet. Enjoyed it a ton!
Really gave me flashbacks from my trip in October when i explored more of Osaka, been to pretty much every place you showed of (besides the resturants) Tourists really do shy away from the side streets of Dotonbouri street, you do find them again once you go closer to Namba again. So many hiden spots ^^
i really enjoy these types of vlogs! you should also check out america-mura in osaka if you havent before. also, the area near tennoji park with abeno harukas. maybe they're not lowkey but they're definitively not nearly as popular as namba/dotonbori/shinsekai
I added a few more stop to my trip. Thanks for the video
Ive been planning a trip to osaka, fukuoka and tokyo later this year and this was pretty insightful. Loved seeing the coffee shops and places to eat!!
Such an awesome video! Your work is just getting better and better! Looking absolutely gorgeous as always, LOVING the new blonde hair it really suits you! ❤ Thanks for sharing so much of your time and keeping us all involved in your world!
When My Aussie mate and his own family from Brisbane stayed in Osaka, December 2022, He and I walked through 道具屋筋 Doguyasuji street and encountered the alien too lol and also entered Super Potato in Ota road,Den den tow,Osaka as well. cheers
Hello! Thank you for this! I enjoyed this very much! See you again! Osaka is awesome!
The camerawoman def deserves a raise 💴
Thank you hehe 💁♀️
DenDen seems to be great place to add for Akihabara kind of list tour! Takoyaki grills look very same what we used in Japanese cooking course! Omikuji is familiar from Final Fantasy 14 🙂Nice way how they serve food in Robata Grill. Thank You for Osaka tour!
This makes me more excited to explore Osaka for the first time soon. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Happy Friday to you as well.
Awesome channel 👍
Optimus Cafe was a great call. So good. Will definitely visit next time I’m in Osaka.
I Love Osaka!❤❤
OSAKA 🩷🩵
@@seerasan🤔🤔
that pancake looked excellent.
Was delicious 🥞😋
Retro-imitative of a style, fashion, or design from the recent past. Vintage is the word you are looking for if you talking about something that is 20 years or older just a psa 😂 much love your content is amazing ❤
(new haircolor looks good)
(Thank you 😁)
Thanks!
Thank you for the support 🫶😊
This is one of my favourite cities! Thanks for visiting and you gave me ideas to check out in my next trip to Osaka!! It’s fabulous to get new ideas! One of the things I live about massive cities is the things to learn about and find to do seem endless!! Cheers!!
Thanks for eating a lot. My fav part of your vlog.
Your videos are such a vibe. Keep up the vlogs!
Interesting that the quiet spots you explored are in such a vicinity to busy (tourist?) areas
It's crazy, since its quite litterly 1-2 streets away most of the time, though tbf even on the other side of the river can be totally quite once you walk 5 min for some reason. I have some favorit spots i like to hang out which is quite litterly at the river side yet so few people (besides the local) go there xD
they literally are tourist areas.. and not quiet at all. Nanba? quiet? 🤣
@@JS-oi5jt plenty of spots both in Dotinbori and Namba that is quite quite indeed ^^ just need to know where to go ;-)
Thank you so much for this video Sarah. I've added it to my Wishlist 🐱. It's so nice to see a quieter side of Osaka ❤🫶
Hope you can visit & enjoy this relaxed side to Osaka 🫶
@@seerasan I'm planning to solo visit in mid November 😁
Another great vlog ❤
Really looked fun🎉 more more more
I love Super Potato! Looks like I need to visit that one now.
Love the blonde hair, looks really nice, in fact I prefer it.
Thank you! Happy I went ahead with it!!
I really enjoy your content Sarah!
We love your channel!! Might see you out and about when we’re there for holidays! 🥰😊
Wonderful video!! Thanks so much for including a vegan restaurant.
Love Osaka! There is a cool shopping arcade I would walk down through that leads to Shinsekai, starting from the Doubutsuenmae Station; if you ever get a chance to explore it, it’s really fun! There’s an old Go/Shogi playing house there that I was always mesmerized whenever I would walk by it, but never had the courage to enter 🥲 Speaking of courage…. I never did those ‘ero’ gatcha either 🤣 though they did peak my curiosity
Girl, I love your videos so much, they're giving me the perfect itinerary for my trip in May! Would love to meet up for drinks🍺💕
Stoked to hear an Aussie’s perspective!! Mrs and I are from Mid North Coast in NSW and heading to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Okinawa and Fukuoka last week in March.
Thanks for the awesome video!!😊
Thank you very much for your posting!
I'm glad that you have enjoyed Osaka trip!
Your videos are very nostalgic because I had lived in Osaka for 2 years!
Lucky you, I'd love to live there for a short stint someday!
Nice video. Best wishes from Serbia/Europe.
Great urban exploration.
Hello. Lovely Vlog. We have been there only once during December 2023. What a amazing Country and People. Trying to come back this December
Thanks for sharing 👍🥰
May I ask what camera was used please? Such a great picture quality.
Thanks! This is the Sony zve1 :)
Cheers mate
i just got back from my first trip to japan and i was in osaka for 4 days! denden town was my favorite as well as all of the tiny snacks (snack bars? im not sure how to say it in english lmao) in amerikamura watching and feeling nostalgic even though i was there 2 weeks ago
Snack bars (called snack / スナック ) is correct! :)
Glad you got to visit DenDen Town too! Can't believe I'd miss it until recently haha
Nah, no need to go back to the used panty gatcha 😂 Osaka was lovely when I visited, the people are so unbelievably friendly there. Will definitely be going back.
Ich hab vor einigen Tagen bereits gemerkt, dass Sarah viel offener geworden ist. Jetzt blonde Haare und Videos mit neuen Typen - da ist ganz klar ein neuer Freund im Spiel
12:46 I like your choice of BGM for this bit, enough that I feel like commenting about it! ^‿^
I definitely made use of a few of your videos for my trip to Japan last year. Having been a few months all I want to do it go back and visit everything I missed out on the first time!
Wonderful video, always love to see the less explored sides of popular destinations! Glad you had a good time exploring!!
Nintendo actually started as a Hanafuda card manufacturing company!!! I love playing Koi Koi. There's a bit of a learning curve having to memorize the months/seasons/"suits" of the cards, but once you have that and the point system down it's a lot of fun as a chill 1v1 game.
If you visit Nipponbashi's Denden Town, you should also visit the nearby Nansan Street "Dougu Yasuji" and Shinsekai's Tsutenkaku Tower.
I want to move to Japan so bad. At least for a while.
Last year I visited Toyko and Kyoto for the first time and I didn’t want to leave. I plan go come back this year
Tsutenkaku Tower in shinsekie is lit up finally!
Ah, Den-Den Town! You're in my old stomping grounds now, Sarah! I lived in a suburb just north of Osaka and probably went into the electronics district about once a month. I loved shopping for old electronics and had a whole circuit of shops I would go through. I stuck mostly to electronics, and some of the hobby shops were pretty cool for plastic models and such. I did venture into the more sukebe video shops occasionally, too, I'll admit. I can't blame you for not getting something from the capsule machines. They did seem rather sketchy. I never tried the maid cafes. Wasn't really interested, though I suppose I could try it once for the experience. I don't think I tried any of the restaurants there, come to think of it. There were some restaurants between Namba station and Nipponbashi I occasionally ate at, though. And I remember there was this little Belgian waffle stand in the station shopping area that I loved. I forget the name of it, but I think it was a chain. Those waffles were awesome! I hope it's still there.
I loved the Nipponbashi Shotengai and I did buy some kitchen knives from that kitchen street, which I still have, but I never ventured far enough away to discover Hozenji and I'm really regretting that. It looks like a beautiful part of town. I hope I get a chance to visit it someday.
Japan's gotten much better about vegetarian and vegan options than when I was living there, I have to say. I moved to Japan as a vegetarian, but soon gave up. I have to say that the meat quality, and food in general, is so much better in Japan than anywhere else I've been that I was fine switching back to the omnivore lifestyle, and haven't flipped back since.
If you come to Osaka during cherry blossom season, I recommend Zouheikyoku (the Osaka Mint). Also, sumo comes to Namba in March, so you could do both in one trip. I'd love to see a vlog about that, though I know you've done one for sumo in Tokyo.
I want you to go to Starbucks Tokyo Roastery. I want you to go to the biggest Starbucks🇯🇵
I have actually visited it several times during sakura season! 🌸
P.S. The food in Japan is so amazing!!
Great video - Did you see the small green moss Buddha statue at the Henzji Temple?
vengo a bancar el video seerasan, espectacular. ramen, anime, videojuegos.
tenes unos ojos de copa del mundo. 😊
Hi!😆
I wanna see more videos of you speaking in japanese!
I spend so much money in den den town in august on Pokémon cards 😂 love the vids! ♥️
I only been to Osaka once and I found den den town on accident lol I was looking for a anime figure store it was nice and super cheap compared to anywhere else
This was so much fun.
Den Den Town is definitely more chill than Akihabara. Typically goods are a tiny bit cheaper. I definitely found older yugioh cards that the tokyo stores didn't have as much of.
Doguyasuji is one of the best places to shop for souvenirs. I grew up in that area and used to have a part time job at Hard Rock Cafe Osaka by Osaka Stadium (IYKYK)... Have you tried American Village? Just down the street from Nanba.
Oh wow you're a local! Yes I've been to Amemura a few times!
@@seerasan well, I was… Ive been living in the US since 1999.
I'm not sure I'd want to use the covid dispensing panty Gacha machines either. Wise call on your part! :p
My city!
hmmm,... I would have gone to the Nakanoshima Museum of Art (it's extremely good). The history museum is also interesting (and you get incredible views of the castle).
Osaka is so pretty
Isn’t that the same place where Yakuza Kiwami game is? Such a cool place!!
That Mario Themed Card game you saw . . . . Nintendo originally started out making those Hanafuda card games back in the 19th century . . . . . which they still make.
It is just like how Toyota didn't start out as a car manufacturer (go check out the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology in Nagoya).
i was walking through the sennichimae shoten one day and i saw a monk chanting in front of a cutlery/cooking shop...loudly...until the store oba-chan ran out with a donation and he moved on. lol
