I've read somewhere that maybe Lilo thinks the fish controls the weather because that's related to how her parents died. If she doesn't feed the fish, he'd get angry and maybe cause another accident. Maybe it's just a kid's way to rationalize something bad that happened.
Yeah, her parents died in a car accident, in large part to the storm causing low visibility and slick roads.
The fish she feeds a trigger fish aka the humuhumunukunukuāpua'a. In hawaiian myth the Kupua (God) of storms, Kamapua'a can transform into the triggerfish. So "he controls the weather", is her belief. So she does her best to keep him happy so no one else dies, bc she lost her parents to a car accident caused be a storm
History. Mulan. At this point in time, women had a greater standing with the Huns than they did in China. Women were out there leading clans, hunting, and fighting alongside the men. Shan Yu doesn't even blink when he finds out that Mulan is a woman because the concept of women warriors was completely normal to him.
Interesting historical tidbit
Idk if anyone mentioned this, but it's said that Nani was a pro-surfer and gave it up to take care of Lilo after their parents died.
We can see the surfing trophies in her room 🏆
Ah, the good old Disney classics. No live-action remakes can beat them.
Sam dying of laughter is my new favorite thing in the world lmao, it's hilarious xD
Thanks you 😂 - Sam
Especially when it's from one of his own jokes 😂
As a kid I could already really relate to Lilo but this movie just hits different when ur an adult and can really understand Nani’s situation and their relationship more…
He didn't make a thing out of Mulan being a woman because the Huns had women warriors. Which is honestly a pretty dope fact, I think.
I love these classic Disney movies. I'm praying that Lilo and Stitch doesn't get remade, as it doesn't need a live action remake. It has plenty of follow ups already.
Exactly it’s a perfect little world that should be left as it is
Its getting a live action. They had a casting controversy already. 😪
Booo!!!

Fun fact: Ursala was inspired by a famous drag queen at that time.
Popular fan theory: There are many people who believe one of the mermaids in Peter Pan is actually Arielle's mother & Hook was the one who killed the mermaids which is why they all fear him. It is another popular fan theory that Neverland is actually the after life.
I love the long multi-movie videos because I'm an artist and I love watching them as I work on all my last-minute Christmas presents (it's taking SOO long lol)
Glad to hear that 😁 - Sam
Fun fact: It has been said that Lilo is Nerodivergent which is why she acts the way she does.
There is a Little Mermaid 2 that I think is pretty good too, it follows Ariel's daughter and the music is quite catchy imo, I recommend
Omg, someone acknowledging the sequel. Little Mermaid 2 and Lion King get a very bad wrap, and I think they are so undderated. Also I wanna see if they notice that Ariel is _the_ only disney princess with a child, unless you count Nala from Lion King. Idk why I think that's so interesting to me...
Im not a big fan of the little mermaid 2, dont hate it buh yk but I agree the songs are rlly nice!
I'd like to see a reaction to that
“The water equivalent to Zeus”😂 So he’s like Poseidon?😂 I love to watch you guys react, this was just something I could not stop laughing at😂 Love that description of Triton, I guess he does have a similar build to Zeus in Hercules🤔
Fun fact, Triton is Poseidon's son.
I appreciate the Cthulhu reference at the end of the little mermaid, like Ursula is totally Cthulhu & was killed in the same way that they defeated Cthulhu in the original story
1:36 The Emperor is voiced by Mr. Miyagi from the original Karate Kid movies, and the advisor is voiced by James Hong, who also did the voice of Po's dad, Mr. Ping in the Kung Fu Panda movies, and the shaman in "Turning Red."
This is without a doubt my fav reaction channel
Thank you so much 😊🙏 - Sam
Mine too!!!
All three??? Christmas came early! Thanks budz
Oh my god three of some of the legendary Disney’s back to back my heart can’t handle this
1:17:47 the only reason I can come up with for why Lilo had to stay home and just not go to the door is that it could look like Nani had run off with Lilo which could cause more legal issues.
I like the abrupt pause after a girl worth fighting for. Somehow I always though they found the girl worth fighting for, aka the little girl from the village that had the doll
I love that Bubbles is never presented as the bad guy, he really does want what's best for Lilo.
These are the types of movies I want to see. Mulan isn't a 'strong female character', instead she knows her limits, is quick-thinking, skilled, hard-working and determined. Ariel didn't want to become human solely for a guy, she wanted to explore and Nani is one of the best characters I've seen, I can't even begin to imagine the sacrifices she's made because she knows Lilo needs to be with her. Each character is unique and they all have such inspirational and admirable qualities.
Edit: Just to clarify, this version Mulan is a strong character, I'm saying she isn't, but you have to admit, she isn't like her live action counterpart, who's sole defining trait is that she is a 'strong female character'. This Mulan uses her wits and her will to get things done.
Yes!! I’m so over the “feminist” crap a lot of movies push out. Not because I’m not a feminist but BECAUSE the way they do it actually isn’t woman power at all.
She is a strong female character though. Way too many people mistake the term to mean physically strong. In writing terms, strong characters mean ones that are well-written. Their personalities are well defined and consistent, their challenges are clearly layed out, and they overcome them in a compelling and believable way.
Modern female leads are not strong female characters, they're pandering and shallow.
@@Ultimaniacx4 yes!! But I wasn’t mentioning Mulan in this!! She’s been one of my favs forever I’m talking about more recent movies (not even nessacarily Disney ones just ones I’m general) women can be soft and emotional while also being strong!! Which clearly you get but a lot of film studios don’t!
@@Ultimaniacx4 I love your view point cuz same!! I feel like we’d be friends in real life
I do love how more people are more or less seeing that Ariel has always liked the above world, she has always wanted to be a part of the humans, however, she couldn't or she didn't think she had a drive for it. Then Eric came along and was a butterfly effect sort of or just the thing that broke camel's back. She had enough, she was going up to the surface world whether her father or anyone disapproved or not. Same kind of thing with Belle from Beauty and the Beast where people remember that she wants more than life than her boring life but dismiss that because she's now with the beast, she's not gonna get it, even though that is literally what she asked, she asked for something different, Beast can give that to her, he's a prince, they can go anywhere
I love how you guys react to Mulan, The Little Mermaid and Lilo and Stitch. Looking back to those movies made me laugh and smile
💖💖💖🤣🤣🤣
All of these were my childhood but personally I always loved lilo and stich the most‼️
Behind the scenes they used similar animation to the lion king when they show how many numbers the nuns had. Gotta love animation!
Honestly, these compilations have been getting me through my house move. Today is our last day to clean so this upload could not be more perfect. Love you buds!!
They are still available on their channel. They are just reloading old videos clumped together. Just so you know you don’t have to wait to watch the compilations.
@@CallMeSkinnyYa, I know I’ve watched these all before. I was specifically thanking the guys for the compilations cause it’s so helpful to have them on in the background while packing / cleaning without having to go up and queue a video every hour ☺️
@@kokopoppers oh cool! Hope everything is going great with your move. I play their videos all the time too, at this point the movie Budz are another voice in my household lol. 😭
These compilations are doing wonders for my adhd ass while I work! Thank you!
I’m glad you’re enjoying them 😁✌️ - Sam
For the lack of royalty in Mulans family she has to make up for in animal sidekicks
1:44 "you're wrong" why did this break me 😂
ARIEEELLL ❤❤❤ the video where I found y’all btw 😊
I always imagined we saw a funny outro with the grandma going off to war in full gear, maybe even winking at some hunk. In the wake of Shrek movies that likely would have been done. 🤣🤣
17:26 This type of porridge is savory Chinese rice porridge, called Congee, and it's pretty tasty. It has a consistency between risotto and American grits/cream of wheat, and it's a relatively cheap and nutritious meal. It's not usually topped with eggs and bacon (those are very American-breakfasty items) but is usually accompanied by meat, fish, and pickled vegetables and is commonly a breakfast food. It's also considered healthy for sick people to eat because it's easy to digest and provides hydration. And while it's most commonly cooked in water, it can also be boiled down in broth or stock, giving it more flavor and health benefits.
I related hard to Mulan and Stitch makes me super emotional each time.
You guys are a new channel to me, and now I'm bingeing all of your stuff! Both of you have uncanny comedic timing! And yes, the 80s was the best decade for music! And your shirts during the Lilo and Stitch reaction... my favorite show AND my favorite band?? 😲
Thanks for being great, guys! Subbed!
A Fabulous Disney Trio!😭🥹🤔🥰🫶🖥
Merry Christmas 🏡🎄🎅 0:15
Merry Christmas!
Lilo is autistic. Her world is a little different to other children. Her rationalisation is simpler and because of Hawaiian culture and teaching as others have said she really believes the fish caused the rain and accident. Her sister has a very tough time being the breadwinner and taking on the caring role.
I am autistic so this relates to me in a way.
Clayton's shadow in Tarzan was traumatic
According to Kingdom Hearts 2, all Flounder needed to move the statue of Eric was the magnet spell 😅
Ariel wanted to be part of the human world way before she met Eric he was just a bonus when Ariel saw Eric it was meant to be
All classics
The real Mulans men stood by her, yeah woman weren’t as respected but they essentially trauma bonded and grew great respect for her. The huns also didn’t care because they also had female worriers. But ya know American writers and girl power i guess
Mint chip’s trash so it’s even funnier now to see the bald man always dropping his ice cream cone like a child 😂
It’s Seth!!! Ooo love this movie!
It's not that daisies are scary except they have the first thing to come up in the winter
Not talk shit, get hit😂
Did u k karate kid actor played the emperor in this movie??? Wax on wax off!
This is cool 😭 never seen 3 movies in one video. I hope this doesn’t mess with views tho
Is it bad that the actresss in lilo and stitch played Sakura in the ring??? Oh man!
