I find "start/stop" irritating..but thankfully, BMW provides an "Off" button right above the "Start" button. On our 2014 BMW, it retains the elected "Off" position, unlike competitor vehicles where some always default to "start/stop" ON when the car is started.
seems like a stage 2 minimum xhp trans tune is like necessary with this car, since it stops the trans from doing auto upshifts in sport+ mode of all modes.. that's super annoying that they don't have a way to disable auto upshift normally
Hopefully you added the injen sp, and deleted the resonator/muffler... That simple mod, along with the 2 deletes, transforms this car into a burble monster.. I also prefer the MHG ecu flash mod...
@@_Jikky Oh okay I see. The car did come equipped with this display from the dealership (many 2 series don't have this display for some reason) so i didn't have to install it. However I will refer you to kies motorsport, who did a step by step video on how to install it and anticipated costs. czcams.com/video/6ov1hfodglw/video.html
I have the 228I with M Sport and love it and now have 40K miles on it. been thinking about getting an M2 but not sure I would enjoy it so much more to make up for the added cost...anyone had both or driven both and have an opinion?
It depends what you’re looking for. In my opinion the m2 is not worth the upgrade over something like the m240. You can get the m240 in awd which improves your 0-60 and handling, and I believe it also comes with a launch control. The m2 will be a full m car obviously and it have a higher resale value. You also get a dct with the m2. So it really depends what you’re looking for.
Awesome video man! I’m buying this car this upcoming Saturday. I have a question though, is it bad to switch driving modes mid drive? Or should I stop the car and change from eco to sport etc...
It's okay to switch the driving modes mid-drive. As long as you don't do it rapidly, all is well. I'm pretty sure BMW has thought this through and made sure it doesn't harm the engine or transmission
I haven't paided for anything major yet, as I was under BMW warranty. Unfortunately I only owned the car for about 10,000 miles, so I'm not able to give a solid answer yet :)
@@garycarneyjr5528 Sorry for the long reply. Right now I'm at 56,000 miles and there haven't been any issues. No weird noises from the engine bay. But I do hear some plastic rattling whenever music is playing from the rear speakers.

It has memory so it remembers the last setting for the start/stop button

How has it been?
When it comes to the sports displays they also come on the base display not just the upgraded screen

If you put it in sport do you have to shift with paddles or you can just drive normally while being in sport without shifting
You drive normal with out shifting but you can put the gear shaft in “manual” and use shifters if you want

Wallace Lee so your car doesn’t have a alarm?
