Busy Runway Action at ATLANTA Airport

One of the busiest airports in the world is Atlanta and Just Planes spent a week here filming all the airlines and aircraft on its very busy runways. This is a major hub for Delta Airlines but many other airlines also operate a bunch of flights such as Southwest Airlines.

Man I miss riding in the delta 717-200. I have flown on that plane at least thirty times in the last two years into Atlanta. The last three trips was on the 737-900. Love the 717-200

Pretty boring airport. Just Delta planes and once in a while a Southwest. They put some different planes because they edited. If you go there it takes a long time to see something different from Delta or Southwest. They had to stay there a whole week to get some different planes. JFK is very different. Very colorful airport with airplanes from all over the world. Even Dallas and Orlando have more international carriers than Atlanta.

airplane800 Well yeah because delta has a grip on most of the gates at Atlanta’s airport. They don’t want competition there knowing the airport is an airline’s dream for connecting flights.
